So excited about Gen 7!!! I was so shocked too. And i'm also a bit sad that it doesn't look like Gen 6 will get the conclusion it deserves any time soon.... maybe next year :)

SO hyped about the direct! It's definitely a main series game announcement, the one we've all been waiting for for since the Zygarde/Ash Greninja forms were revealed. And hopefully it will finally put an end to the Gen 6/Gen 7 Magearna bickering, haha. Z/Rainbow/Whatever here we come!!! :)

Haha, yeah :) i'm avoiding the forums at the moment though, since Magearna was revealed it's just been a debate between Gen 6/6.5/7 and it's going nowhere. I'm waiting for next week to see what happens ;)

I would have to disagree on this, bc as far as i've seen so far there's a "settling in" period for the new console before they release new gens. For example for Gen 6, the 3DS was out for a while until i finally bought it just to play X, lol. I'm going for an announcement this month, Z/XY...

I can see why people may think we're getting Gen 7, but i just don't see it. There are too many loose ends in Kalos. Too many news forms etc. Not to mention that Gen 7 makes the most sense as being the first main game released on the NX. I'm really, really excited for the 27th. We're getting a...

Ok, now that i'm less excited and able to think more clearly, i think Magiana is a new Gen 7 pokemon, but won't necessarily appear in the final Gen 6 game. I remember before that a new pokemon from a different gen appeared before the current gen was finished. Could be wrong though. Really think...

But they do like to change things up, and i have a feeling that the story for Pokemon Z would be entirely different to XY (see: anime). Perfect Zygarde is a weird case i think, as it's not a pokemon that is in a constant state and only comes into being when 2+ cores join (as far as we know)...

I JUST SAW THE NEWS ON SEREBII AND CAN I JUST SAY I'M EXCITED. I'm going with Gen 6.5, though i know the Gen 6.5/Gen 7 debate will rage until confirmation of the next game. Which, fingers crossed, is on February 27th.

They hype train for the super bowl commercial has already started - it already has over 15 million views on youtube, which is insane. It looks like that 5 million was well worth investing. And it means that this month would be the best time to announce a new game.

Oooooh, i really like this. Makes a lot of sense. It would also explain Ash's exhaustion after his battle with Sceptile and Mega Charizard X.

I doubt the anime will get Delphox and Chesnaught forms, but i think it's more than likely that all three starters will receive this type of ME in Z/the XY sequels :)

I do agree, it isn't exactly a Mega, but it has all the major hallmarks of it bar the evolution by keystone/mega stone. We know Rayquaza can Mega Evolve without them though. What makes this "Mega" even more awesome is that it's pretty clear that Ash and Greninja's minds are joined in a psychic...
