Just because you travel to Kanto doesn't make GSC/HGSS a sequel.

Defiantly some of my favourite games! I'd say Platinum because of the upgrades, new Pokémon in the area, and how every gym leader & elite has their correct type (i.e. Sunnyshore's what-his-face and Ronald McDonald Flint having some normal types)

Probably White since I bought Black first last time. Eventually, I will get Black though. I'm not rich or anything, I just always like getting both versions. I'm going to tell a family member I don't have this game yet, so I won't have to buy it, i'll just get it for my birthday mwahaha

Every game it's a new region with basically the same story line. Maybe they though some people would get bored with it. Besides, they've never done a sequel before.
