I'm an older Pokemon fan who's new to the games (HGSS was my first real exposure as I had never owned a handheld before my adulthood and the closest to gaming I came was owning the Pocket Pikachu) and a veteran to the general franchise.

I love Pokemon because of the world of possibilities it can open up in the imagination and I will never forget how the first Pokemon movie made me feel.

I guess maybe it's that little bit of 'magic' that I had experienced that kept me interested on a subconscious level when my interest in Pokemon had all but otherwise faded and when the HeartGold and SoulSilver games were announced along with the added feature of the Pokewalker, I decided to give the game a chance. I got the game and... well... 540+ hours later, I guess you could say I'm hooked - as hooked as a Magikarp would be on a Super Rod.

Gamer DNA tagged me as an 'Explorer' and I have to admit that that description rather suits me. Just like I tend to spend my spare time exploring things in games, I do a lot of exploring in general in real life - books, internet, hiking trails, places to shop, places to eat, and places in general.

Related to that, I'm a collector of various collectibles and thus like to bargain shop for things to add to my collection and I have to admit that I'm pretty good at bargain treasure hunting. Currently, the 'treasure' that I am hunting for is the DX sized Mewtwo UFO Catcher plush from 2005.

In case it isn't obvious, I'm also a fan of words and language and other modes of expression and communication and so I also enjoy doing what I call 'creative communication' which includes things like front end web development, graphic design, creative writing, and illustration.

In relation to communication... I'm also a fan of... questions. I like to think and therefore I like to question things if only to ensure that I am truly understanding something and not just taking it for granted.
