From what I know, Alolan-Ninetales is very good competitively because it allows you to lead in a fast hail/aurora veil on the first turn which is very powerful. Aurora Veil halves the damage taken from physical and special moves, which is always useful and can help with setting up sweepers.
As...
if you want hail (for instance if you have other Pokemon that benefit from it like alolan-sandslash), it is an easy way to start it as you don't need to waste a turn and a move slot with it.
I honestly don't have much in terms of Pokemon to trade since I just beat the game, but I could trade a Snow Warning Ninetales, or I can go fetch a different exclusive. I need an Alolan Sandslash with Slush Rush since I don't have Moon.
Thanks :)
Hey all,
For background: I've only really played White and White 2 before, those were my first Pokemon games as a pre-teen/teen (10-13 I think were kind of the ages). I've played a couple of the other games on emulators before but it really isn't the same experience and I barely played them...
I chose Oshawott in both because he's simply the best starter. Best design/personality-wise and probably the best gameplay wise. That's just my opinion of course. I could never bring myself to chose either of the other two, never cared for them.
I love Alolan-Ninetales. Probably my favorite 'new' Pokemon from Gen 7. I immediately made a team around him and Alolan-Sandshrew. They need their hidden abilities to really shine though.
Oh, I wasn't sure about that. I took protect for more stall but I guess I'm not sure if my team is a stall team or more of just sweepers. If I'm not mistaken, aren't hail teams are stall based though? Like that's the strategy/niche they need to be relevant?
