It has been far too long. I can vaguely remember though. Champ the Blastoise Piddles the Pidgeot Pig the Primeape Mr.Fish the Gyarados Jen the Raichu I think the last one was a Diglett or something. I remember I had overtrained my Blastiose, and I had an affinity for bad nicknames.

When first playing Red I followed some of the type match ups in the anime and felt quite dumb for it later. I also decided to only level up my Squirtle, EVER. Needless to say I DID lose a few Gyms but after a while, Even Surge and Erika went down without a fight.

It's a possibility, especially for people who are just jumping into the series at this point. Give it the time, an it will become like wine.

I kinda dislike how the Elemonkies are looking at becoming a "second Starter" of sorts. And though I like Choroneko and it's dark type, resisting the Bites of 2 of the more common starting out pokemon, it really is not something for taking OR dealing damage. Munna.... I don't know what to say...
