I discovered my problem. For whatever reason, if I place a new npc is my starter town it won't work. If I place it in any other map, its fine.
(So me almost raging at XSE was all pointless. yay. :D)

I haven't played too many hacks, but I've always found snakewood rather difficult. The storyline is straightforward, but I always find that my pokemon suck and become 10 levels below what they should be.
Why don't you just use the space after Celebi for a new pokemon? That way, you would have no need to replace Genger.

I'm going have to play the demo as soon as I can, This hack looks fantastic. The idea of merging Mystery Dungeon to ruby/firered has been done numerous times before, but they way that you've pulled it off makes it stand out really well.
This is really, really impressive. I couldn't in a million years figure out how you managed to create this awesomeness. ^_^ Hopefully, this gets more attention soon because this could change how many people choose to hack third gen games.
