Hey everyone, I already started a Normal monotype run in Black, so I'll just post my updates here.

No, you cannot keep your starter. Since it was not a part of your randomly selected team, it cannot be apart of your team at all. You can use your starter up until the point when you can obtain the first Pokemon on your team, which, in your case, will be fairly soon.

That's how random challenges work - you may end up stuck with a bunch of one type, and you have to make it work. It makes it more exciting and challenging, unlike normal run-throughs of the game. :)

The Mothim and Torterra are great, but Bastiodon and Rampardos are both fossils I'd need to find in the Underground. Cranidos' Skull Fossil would take quite a long time to find, and Shieldon's Armor Fossil isn't found in Diamond. So, a re-draw of those two would be marvelous. :)

I can't speak for Stick, but I'm sure Tepig and Typholsion (or Cyndaquil) would be appropriate substitutions for Magby/Magmortar and Vulpix/Ninetales. That way, you can actually proceed with your challenge. Also, could I get a team? I'm getting antsy and want to begin. :)

Okay then, my team looks like this: - Mareep, whose only Electric move is Discharge and must know Power Gem. - Stunky, no restrictions (nickname required). - Hippopotas, which may only know TM and HM moves. - Murkrow, must know Assurance to evolve and has to solo Crasher Wake's Floatzel...

With Murkrow, I wouldn't be able to evolve it until after the 7th gym, and for Politoed I couldn't get him at all. These both aren't working out...

Hey, Laure, I have some bad news... My cousin jacked my White version, and proceeded to erase my file for some sort of revenge. So, basically, I can't continue on this challenge. I'm sorry; it was a lot of fun while I could. Thanks for the eggs and the opportunity.

I'm not trying to pry, but I'd love if I could get my last Pokemon. I'm itching to restart this challenge. My current team is above. Thanks!
