2nd Gen The weird tree didn't like the squirtbottle!

I used it normally up until the Lighthouse in Olivine.. and then it became rather lacklustre. I am thinking of using it again when I get to play (Heart) Gold again. :)

Shakespeare in the Park || The Tempest

Being a bit of a theater-aficionado myself, I'd suggest you'd certainly do! :D It's great to hear people getting to like the theatre, and while it's true you could just read the plays, I feel it's just that more fun when you actually get to watch them. So, keep on visiting them! :D (and keep on...

1st Gen What are some of your best memories?

Figuring out how to use cut in Red was great, getting past the Rocket Hideout was even better.. To this day, when I play a Kanto-game it only really gets fun after Vermillion because I still get the same sense I once had as a kid of really making progress. Mind you, we've only got English games...

Ready to Brawl! Super Smash Brothers Fan Club

Username: November Lima Character Select: Link What was your first Smash game?: Super Smash Bros. Melee at a friend's; Super Smash Bros. Brawl as my own. Meh, I would have to wait for Greninja for almost another month, I think I won't be getting it. :x That being said, I think it's weird that...

4th Gen Does anyone else find the Azalea Rival battle really frustrating?

This battle was hell when I was a child (even though that would've been Gen 2, technically). In Gen 4 it didn't bother me as much, however. Don't know why... What really helps against Bayleef, though, is a Zubat w/ Super Sonic and Leech Life to heal off any damage it might do. Bite has a chance...

    4th Gen Disappointments

Hmmm, I think I disliked how easy HGSS was when not battling Rivals, Gym Leaders and/or Champions (those weren't that hard either, but they were satisfactory). I think it was supposedly the low levels of the Pokémon used by random trainers. Especially after Ecruteak this became quite noticeable...

    Hecs here!

Hey Hecate, here's a hello from a fellow newbie here at PC :) How nice to see all these language fanatics, and to see that there will be even more, now, with you in the fray. I, too, like learning languages, although I tend to eventually mix them up -- especially when talking IRL. I just want...

    UU RMT - My first!

I feel like your team's gonna have trouble with defensive Pokémon like Goodra, Florges and/or Mega-Aggron, to name some. So, I feel like it might be wise to change Chesnaught into a fighting-type that's got a bigger offensive presence on the field. I propose Mienshao, Machamp or Infernape. The...

6th Gen Were the ORAS games just as good as the originals?

I prefer ORAS. It's cool, it's a bit easier in the control department than XY (damn you, rollerskates!) and it really, really looks stunning. I never cared very much about Sapphire but it was good, Emerald was great, but ORAS is simply better. The only thing I'd loved to see was the Battle...

    4th Gen Leafeon & Glaceon

When DP first came out Glaceon (along with Gallade) become quickly my favourite pokémon of the entire generation, but over time it became a bit bland. Its head feels quite big, or something. Leafeon, however, is a Pokémon I still like to use very much and I think it's my favourite Eevee-lution...

    Bonjour ^^

Thanks for the kind replies! I'll be sure to check things out :) It's really nice to see people take the time to respond to newbies, so it's off to a good start ;) I'll be sure to remind you guys if I need help with anything. And I'd never expected that it would be such diverse. I believe I've...

4th Gen Who is your favourite Sinnoh Gym Leader?

For me, it'd be a toss-up between Gardenia and Voltner. I liked Gardenia's scaredy-cat attitude towards the Haunted Mansion, and yet I feel like she's not such a doll as a lot of other (Grass-type) female trainers are. looking at you, Erika. That made Gardenia stand out to me. And here...

    Bonjour ^^

Bonjour ^^ Yeah, that's French, but I'll continue in English so I'll not be automatically called "That French Guy" or, worse, "That Incomprehensible guy" ;) I'm not English, though, nor am I French: I hail from the Netherlands. So, please excuse any errors you'll encounter: it's probably a lack...
