Don't forget Silcoon/Cascoon depending on what version of the game you have. I have caught several of those along with Wurmples. Oh and it also seems that if you get a Wurmple in your game and evolve it, it will always be whatever version is available in your game. I tried this several times...

It's between the breeder, chainer, berry apps. It all depends on what I'm doing at that point and time really. Like yesterday I was breeding alot so I had that app up and then later I did some chaining. So really just a mix of those three.

The Female Combees really aren't that hard to catch. If you save before a tree and then find one with a combee you can soft reset until you get a female. Out of all the times I used the trees I'd say I had gotten at least 30 combees and maybe a fourth of those were female without soft...
