Probably my most embarassing moment was in Emerald. I was training my Shedinja and I decided to teach it Substitute. I was thinking, "This is awesome! Wonder Guard + Substitue!". I then saved the game and went into a battle to try the move. "But it was too weak to make a substitute!" I had the...
My favorite is Route 119 of Hoenn. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful route in Pokemon. I haven't played X or Y yet, so I don't know what Kalos looks like.
Hoenn has to be my favorite region. It's more beautiful than any of the others. Sinnoh comes close, though. (I haven't seen Kalos that much, so I don't know what it looks like.) Route 119 is my favorite route in Pokemon.
For the handheld games, I really like Thunder. The look of those clouds swirling, and then the huge lighning strike is amazing.
In Pokemon Colosseum, basically all of the attacks looked awesome, but I'd have to say flamethrower looked sick! The Pokemon charges up and releases this huge beam of...
One thing I can't really forget is in Pokemon Colosseum when Dakim punches and knocks out Vander when Vander won't fork over the time flute. That's probably the only time in a Pokemon game I've ever seen a someone get physically beaten up by another person.
First of all, when you buy a used game, the first thing you want to do is make sure it is a real, legit copy and not a pirated one. You should compare the cartridge to one that you know is legit. Most pirates do a pretty bad job, so it's pretty easy to tell a fake if you know what a real one...
I'd first heard about shinies in this NintendoPower guide for FR/LG, but they called them "Alternately Colored Pokemon", even though most people referred to them as shiny Pokemon. Just to give you some idea of exactly how rare shinies are:
If you played a Gen III game and did nothing but run...
It's not that hard to get one. You just need patience. Start at the VERY top of Route 119 and just keep going row by row, fishing every single water tile until you find one with Feebas. The tile you fish is the one you're facing, not the one you are sitting on. Once you've found one, just keep...
Some of the funny ones
-youngster in every portable game in the series.
Changing the Dewford slogan produces interesting results:
-people in Dewford Town
You don't say!
-guy in Viridian Forest
-old man outside of Erika's gym
-Picknicker Kelsey, FRLG Route 25
Don't remember the exact...
The Battle Frontier is so hard. I really wonder if anyone has actually gotten all the symbols. I've only got 2, Battle Pike and Battle Palace. What really irritates me is the way they impose the level restrictions. Oh, so your trusty Dragonite is level 80, your wallin Snorlax is level 50, and...
Where's Colosseum and XD in this poll? That's what I'd like to know. XD was absolutely the most enjoyable to play! Since this wasn't up there, I picked Emerald like most people.
Can't really say much bad about Gen 3. It was definitely my favorite. The major thing that makes me go arrrgh! is that the physical/special split STILL had not happened. Come on, GameFreak! Shadow Ball is still a physical attack that lowers special, and Gyarados is not as powerful as it could...
The Pokemon:
Psyduck - Water/Psychic (It's a duck with psychic powers, hence its name)
Mantine/Mantyke - Water (It doesn't fly!)
Gyarados - Water/Dragon (It's literally a dragon that lives in water. Also, it doesn't fly.)
Pineco - Grass (I don't get why the pinecone is bug type.)
Da Moves...
I think Nintendo should put Missingno or a Pokemon similar to it in the next generation. Not as a glitch, but as a legit Pokemon. It would be a cool nostalgia reference to the old games. Maybe it could be a Ghost/Electric Pokemon.
Oh yeah! 3rd gen is the only gen I (sort of) shiny hunt on because the shinies are much more valuable. It's ALWAYS 1/8192. There's none of this Masuda method, Pokeradar chaining, red gyarados, shiny ditto trick, or any other stuff that increases the odds. I've only got a shiny Gulpin (E) and a...
