Overrated, I'd say probably Gyrados, just off the top of my head. I've never liked him. -_- Underrated, I always say Zigzagoon. Linoone is probably one of my favourite Pokémon, I don't see why people always make him an HM slave. Haha

To me it's catching all the Pokémon, beating the champion, winning all the Pokémon contests and completing all the sidequests. That right there completes the game, and I become a Pokémon Master! (At least in my mind.)

I copy/paste from the character map. It's the only thing that works on my computer. I hate typing Pokémon without the accent, it looks like poke-mon. lol

I usually save it for whatever my target Pokémon is. Like, Suicune or Articuno if I can't get them too easy. In Platinum, I usually save it for after I get my National Dex so I can catch an Eevee. ^^

That'd be cool, actually. I think it might be nice to have him help you all the way through, then he's the last gym leader. I always talk to that guy, I'd like to see him in a better roll. ^^
