I really hope the conservatives challenge this ruling and take it to the Supreme Court. That way, we could just end this tedious state-by-state legalization and just legalize it nationwide in one fell swoop.

Erm, what? I heard Pikachu's cry before I ever played the games, but that was just because I watched the anime before ever hearing about the video games. You can't deny the anime influencing the games in return, because otherwise, what was Pokemon Yellow supposed to be then?

I would argue otherwise. The anime is closely associated with the franchise's hayday, and it's their way of saying "Hey? Remember when you used to watch the anime? Play our game, lapsed fans!"
