The 20th anniversary falls on my mother's birthday which is pretty awesome! My Mum is the main reason I got into Pokemon as a kid. She played Blue and I played Red and we used to have a lot of fun playing and trading together. Pokemon has meant a lot to me over the years in terms of friendships...

That's pretty awesome! I know a few of mine are good for competitive battling, but there are a couple I use that I'm pretty sure I'd be laughed at for using hehe... I've never really cared about that though since I'm not super into the competitive side of the game yet (this might change one day...

@acatfrommars Thank you! I never played Pokemon Gold as there were a few years there where I wasn't as into it. It was a friend of mine I met in college that got me totally obsessed with it again haha! Photography is something I enjoy as well, though I'm not really that skilled at it haha...

That seems to be how a lot of people feel. I battle mostly for fun as I am still learning all the ins and outs of competitive battling, but your point is definitely a good one!

I'm not really sure how I would feel about that. I'm on the fence. On one hand I think it would be sweet to relive Red in a new way with far improved graphics and that sort of thing, but then on the other hand, the original was so special to me I might just want to keep it in the special place...
