Life Orb is definitely a good item to have on a pokemon.
But in some instances, like Solar Power Charizard, I don't want to run a Life Orb on it because then you are taking 20%.
Well, in the NU tier, yes I do like to take advantage of the weather.
So depending on the situation, I may take advantage of their sun and or their rain, depending on the pokemon I am using.

My favorite grass type is Serperior..it is so majestic and beautiful. Also, its roles in the NU tier are very great ^___^
Spinblockers are not really as viable in NU. In the lowest tier in competitive play, pretty much all the spinners are weak to rocks. So nobody really relies on using spinblockers as the only spinner not weak to rocks is Wartortle, and Wartortle is not that good of a pokemon in general.

In NU, my most used pokemon is probably Serperior because of its ability to function as a wall and as a sweeper with Calm Mind. I preferably use it the most because I like it and what I said before.
In RU, I would say Typhlosion.(as of like 3 RU battles..lol XD) Mainly because of Typhlosion's...
Its defense stat is not very well going for it.
Also, it has weaknesses to a lot of common types in the NU tier, so your efforts for sweeping are halted unless you take out all of Rampardos's threats.

BW and BW2 NU.
NU is a really fun tier where the pokemon are so diverse and you can use such a variety of them. Plus, I am good at that tier and know a fairly good amount about it along with the fact it does not bore me like OU.
