This is exactly the problem I'm having. I've played Brown in the past and it has done this before, but it worked as soon as I tried a different Red ROM. This time however, no ROM will work. I've seen a suggstion on the net to change the file type from .gb to .sgb, but that didn't work either...

Hmm... Well, I seem to remember Weepingbell evolving by leafstone, but mine just evolved at level 22, and that CAN'T be right, because that's only one level after it just evolved... I let it evolve and I saved before I realised that it won't learn many (if any) moves by leveling up... By the way...
