I would say at this stage they would probably be best off kept hold of, as prices are likely to increase in the forseable future. The sale value for these cards varies, the Machamp for example worth slightly less (despite the 1st edition symbol) as it was sold in the starter theme deck nearly...
Obviously as already mentioned these are not first edition and shouldn't be sold as first edition.
However I have still seen the unlimited base set boosters sell for 25 pound / 35 USD
While in the ideal world that's correct it's difficult as I have found singles to be described and sold as mint condition and arrived with marks.
The issue here is that some sellers regard a fairly shoddy card as 'mint' just because it hasnt got any obvious damage.
But in reality mint must...
The only issue I find with buying singes is that you can't guarantee they'll be mint. From opening a booster to putting it in a sleeve the card is exposed to a number of things especially if it's put in amongst other cards and scratched.
If you're lucky you can get singles in mint condition...
Roaring skies is my most complete X and Y set so far. Although the boosters keep screwing me over as I need the same few cards and I never seem to get them!!!
I myself, are more interested in the collection of Pokemon Tcg rather the playing of it however I have had a reasonable start from having collected these cards from the day they came out. The downside with that is they are all played. Since restarting collecting the cards rather than playing...
