Plot -

It is the year 2020, and people are still treating their Pokemon as pets. It has been like that since the arrival of Pokemon, and after all these years, it has never changed. Pokemon trapped in those cramped Pokeballs, Pokemon being ordered around like a maid or a butler, Pokemon being tortured by their very own masters. We've seen it all. But the Humans ignore their complains and whines, and their cruelty has been rising every year, with no sign of stopping. Pokemon aren't considered as companions anymore - they're considered as servants.

Finally, Pokemon cannot stand it anymore, and starts to rebel against the Humans. They've formed a Pokemon organisation called PokeRebel, and In the Sinnoh region, where the rebellion starts, Pokemon are now leaving their masters, escaping from their Pokeballs, running away, never coming back. With no Pokemon to use, the Humans can't possibly catch them anymore. In a matter of days, every Pokemon in the region has joined it.

But the PokeRebels want to end this once and for all. They've started to realise that the Humans have been using their powers to aid them all this time, and without them, the Pokemon, Humans aren't as strong as they used to be. Rallying up all the Pokemon in the Region, they've taken over Canalave City as the people there couldn't withstand a large scale Pokemon attack. The Humans, alert by this hostile takeover, decides to fight back by forming the Human Republic, to take back what's theirs.

And after a few weeks of research, it isn't too difficult. The Human Republic can create weapons that are similar to the Pokemon's abilities. The Password is Fight. Their water cannons are as powerful as Hydro Pump, and their electricity can rival Thunder easily. Not to mention they have guns...snipers...flamethrowers...Despite their weapons, they aren't enough to defeat the PokeRebels...Pokemon can do much more than that due to their special abilities.

The PokeRebels are now planning to attack Jubilife...then the whole Region...showing the Republic how capable they are...and when they're done...the Humans will be their servants, not the other way around.

Intro -

The Canalave Gym had been demolished, and the new PokeRebel base was built where the Gym once stood in the City. It was rectangular shaped, with large glass windows - an average structure. It was ten storeys tall, and it had a large satelite on top, stolen from a building in Jubilife. All humans were kicked out of town, and the whole City was managed by Pokemon now. A large number of Pokemon's guarding the entrance to the city, ready to kill anybody that tried to enter. Nobody was walking on the Canalave streets. Nobody was swimming in the water canals either. It was abnormally quiet, but nobody cared. Everybody was busy inside the base. The commander was planning, the General at his side. But he was a spy, and he didn't have anything to do when he wasn't assigned to a mission. Most of the Pokemon Members were training right now, improving their agility and firepower 24/7. They had a lot of willpower, and they were determined to win the war. Wade definitely had that kind of willpower.

He could still remember that day. When his old Trainer tortured him for the very first time. It scared the crap out of the little Umbreon, but he didn't fight back. He never did. Now he was full of regret, not to mention he was full of hatred. Pokemon wasn't made to be servants, and surely a Shiny Umbreon like Wade shouldn't be one. Being a spy of the PR gave him more chances to find his old trainer, but until this very day, he had failed in finding him. But maybe someday...because of his bad memories...he wasn't able to love any Pokemon...he was scared of love...he had loved his trainer once...he didn't know that trainer/brotherly love was different than mate-love, however. He had seen much more compared to other Pokemon Members, but in some categories, he knew much, much less.

Killing wasn't a problem to the Umbreon - he had killed many, many people, but he would rather to keep that a secret. People wouldn't even talk to him if they knew. He was a trained spy, and he had helped the PR in many ways. He had infiltrated into the Humans base numbers of times, and everytime he saw someone in the corridors, he would jump behind him, like he jumped on his ex-trainer when they first met. Then he would finish him off with a swift attack to the opponent's neck. It was never hard. The human would die peacefully, not knowing about a sudden attack from behind. Everything would end in a few seconds.

Wade looked around, his black ears with a blue ring twitching as he remembered something. A new spy was supposed to arrive today. He looked into the bright summer sky, strolling around the base aimlessly. The sun was about to set, what was taking him/her so long? Deciding the enter the Base, he trotted into the base stealthily, hiding behind every pillar when he saw one. It was his hobby, being a spy and all. When he got into the lift he tapped his feet impatiently as a huge crowd of PR members charged into the lift, nearly squashing him towards a corner. When the lift stopped at the tenth floor, he got out, then leaped up the stairs, going as quickly as his little black feet could carry him. The new spy was going to meet him at the roof.

When he got there, he was welcomed and caressed by a soft gust of wind, and he took a deep breath, knowing that he won't be able to do that soon when the war really started. The clouds were fluffy white, and Wade just wanted to reach out and pull them down so he could have a nice warm pillow to sleep on. But he couldn't. This wasn't a fairytale. This was war. A true war between Pokemon and Humans. A true war that will have casualties and deaths. A true war that all Pokemon had been waiting for a long time.

"All these years, the humans haven't given us a tad of respect. Now they'll be sorry." Wade spoke to himself, his blue rings glowing with power, his eyes narrowing as he pictured his ex-trainer again. Someday...

Intro

Sunnyshore City. Base of the Human Republic. Once beautiful city that had been a home to humans and pokemon. Now, only living being welcome here were the humans. The smartly built gym had been renovated, 15 stories added on top of it. That was the true base of the HR.

Their base had been made smartly. The first three floors were security headquarters. Here, the weapons were stored. The rest of the floors all housed several humans, some strategists, some fighters, some spies. The topmost floor, the 16th floor, housed the commander of the Humans. Jack Spark. The office was what you would expect of a 15 year old, not of a Commander. There was a bedroom, with a window that overlooked almost all of Sinnoh. There was a study, where he used to plan all his strategies along with Watt, his second in command, his General.

Jack rose from his bed, the early morning sunlight illuminating his room. He looked out the window, and, far below, saw the Pokemon Rock. Anger boiled inside him. The rock reminded him of Munchlax. A Pokemon.

The door of his study opened, and Watt walked inside. "Good morning sir. We are awaiting your orders for today" he said.

"Destroy that rock." Jack Replied.

"Um, sir, pardon?"

"DESTROY THAT ROCK!!!!"

"But, sir........why?"

"It......it'll remind people of Pokemon. Of their friendship with them."

"A-All right sir."

"And do the rest of the duties.Scouting, gassing, etc."

"Yes sir."

"And stop calling me sir. My name is Jack."

"Okay Jack."

Watt walked out of the room. Technical terms had been given to everyday activities. Scouting meant scouring the nearby area for Pokemon. The more deadlier one was Gassing.

While all the tall grass around Sunnyshore had been burnt, the Humans still found Pokemon almost everyday. They were spies, fighters, looking for an opportunity to strike. All of these Pokemon were collected, and dumped into an airtight room. There, several bottle of max repels were sprayed, and the humans watched as the Pokemon suffocated, and died. It was a slow and painless death. The water was different though. A solution of Max repels was made, and released into the water, which killed the Pokemon in the water, and kept them away.

Jack looked out of the window again, and saw the rock being exploded. He breathed a sigh of relief. There was a lot of pressure, and a lot of things on his mind. The most major one was of a spy.

Almost everyday bodies were being found in corridors. People suspected a spy, and a tuft of hair was found near a body. The hair.....of an Umbreon.

Jack sat on his desk, pondering the thought of a deadly spy....

Khufu, gazing aimlessly out the window, smiled. He could see the empty streets of Canalave City spread out beneath him, with the canal splitting the town in half. Beyond the city was nature. Trees, rocks, and grass. The clouds were light and fluffy, almost like cotton balls suspended in midair. Everything was still, belying the situation Khufu found himself in. His eyes looked up, closer to the horizon, and a deep blue river cut Canalave City and PokeRebel off from the human-controlled Jubilife City. The skyscrapers of Jubilife were just barely visible from Khufu's vantage point. He longed to be among nature, far away from humanity and civilisation.

Brushing his sky-blue mane out of his eyes, Khufu turned away from the window and returned to the table where the Commander was planning a strategy. Something about the shape and color of the table reminded him of an incident several years ago that had left him with emotional as well as physical scars.
He was twelve when it happened. His adolescent mind was racing with crazy thoughts, and he often couldn't restrain himself from carrying these out. Usually his master had scolded him, but this time Khufu had gone too far.

Several sheets of SAT papers were lying on his master's desk one afternoon, and Khufu was sitting obediently on the soft bed behind it. His master was applying to go to a prestigious college far away, in Johto, and these papers were vitally important to him being accepted. As Khufu watched him work, an idea popped into his young head. What if, just for fun, he lit the paper on fire? At first Khufu dismissed the thought, knowing the consequences, but his psychotic hormones kicked in and it slowly turned into seemingly a good idea.

When his master jumped up to go make a snack, Khufu saw his opportunity. He grabbed the papers in his mouth and powered up a Fire Fang. Within seconds, the papers had become a smoking mass of ashes, which was what his master walked in to discover.

Outraged, Khufu's master grabbed him by the neck and slammed his Flareon's head against the wall, and using a pair of scissors, he ripped into Khufu's flesh on the nose.
Khufu still had that scar, which he rubbed as his thoughts returned to planning.

New General

Jack leaned back in his chair, thinking about the Umbreon. He almost fell off it when the door suddenly burst open, and a young officer ran in, panting for breath.

Jack regained his balance and yelled, "What happened? Why are you in such a hurry?"

"C-Commander! I-It's really bad news!" The officer stammered.

"What is it? Speak up, quickly!"

"S-sir......Its about Watt....."

"What Happened?"

"I don't what to say, sir. Watt was......found dead. In a corridor, h-his neck had been snapped. We found a tuft of Umbreon hair near his body. I'm really sorry sir. I know how he was a really close friend of yours...."

"...."

"Sir?"

"DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT!!! Who is this goddamn Umbreon? How can it be just roaming around the hallways, killing people?! What the hell is wrong with the security here?"

"Sir, we suspect its entering through the heating vents. We found scratch marks near them."

"Seal them off carefully. Take Watt's body. and bury him with the rest of the bodies. And make the announcement, we need a new General."

The Officer nodded and quickly marched off.

Two days later...

The General spot has been taken by a brand new person, whose past is unknown. Her name is Melanie, and after hearing the announcement of her taking the spot, she confidently marches towards the Commander's Office, for their planning...

(OOC: As you might have realized, everything before Melanie becomes the General had occurred 2 days in the past. I had to change it due to Social Kibbles sudden SU :P)

Rushing towards the base, thoughts raced through Lydia's mind, as the wind cut through her soft and long Eevee mane.

"I get to meet my fellow members today." she thought to herself.

Her imagination was running wild. Who where the spies? What did they look like? And most of all, what would they think of her? She was both eager and at the same time nervous. It didn't help she was late; Lydia had been running all over the place ever since she joined the Poke'Rebel. Canalave City was certainly an amazing city, but not one she had gotten the time to recognize. The city was humongous, but she at least now knew where the main base was located. She blamed the confusing instructions for ruining her big chance to make a positive impression on spies, but Lydia had to get there before she lost all respect from the other members.

Lydia saw many fellow pokemon staring at her as she darted to the base. She looked as if she was running for her life. The eevee stuck her tongue out in remark to their glares. Not like she cared what the others thought of her. Unless she had a reason to respect them, she saw no reason to have a little fun. Didn't their mothers ever teach them manners? Of course, Lydia didn't know which of these pokemon had one- all she knew was that most living creatures had a mother. She even had one- Arceus knew who. But she didn't.

The wild was picking up once again. It sliced through the pokemon's fur. It filled her with spirit and confidence. If only she could transform right now and ride that very wind all the way up to the roof. Yet, she couldn't.

"Your an Eevee, remember that" Lydia murmured from under her breathe, which was swept away from her as she finally reached the base.

The poor pokemon was panting from exhaustion. She hadn't stopped to take a breathe, but now it was obvious she needed several of them. One again, staring eyes crept up on the Eevee. Lydia ignored them, heading to- err, looking, for the elevator. She let out one huge sigh as she looked around the enormous structure. She had been in several buildings before, but not one as enormous nor cleverly designed as this one. She was getting distracted. Focusing once again on her 'mission', she walked around the area, until she spotted what appeared to be an elevator. As she got in, the members who also entered tried their hardest to keep their distance from the pokemon. All Lydia could do was smile with amusement, but inside she was somewhat embarrassed.

When the elevator reached the top, the Eevee's ears perked up when the small 'ding' noise was ejected from the machine, indicating they had reached the top floor. All of the Pokemon walked out casually, all except for Lydia. She looked around nervous, and her smile was gone now. What if her fur looked all tangled from the run? Did she look fine? In fact, who even WAS the spy? She didn't recall anyone mentioning something about a nametag. Then again, what use would that be? She walked out cautiously from the elevator and began searching though some of the pokemon. What did a spy look like? Dark, mysterious...something along those lines. Maybe just another Dark-type pokemon like herself. She was lost.

That was then she saw him. Over in one of the corners, she saw an Umbreon glancing over at her. Of course a lot of people were staring at her by now, but she had a feeling about this pokemon. He certainly had the appearance of a spy. Appearance wasn't everything, but it wasn't just that. An odd sensation raced through her. And as if on cue, she started walking towards the Umbreon. If he wasn't the spy she'd have to kill herself. She stopped in front of him and tried to smile, though it wasn't a very good one.

"Hello. I'm Lydia...um..." -what a stupid way to say hi. She was getting nervous again, and her voice was breaking. Pulling herself together again, she continued her short introduction.

"I'm the newly recruited spy for the Poke'Rebels. Sorry to ask, but are you also a spy? If you aren't though I can just leave". She pulled a bit of a giggle to make the situation seem not as serious.

Wade was still in deep thought, think about his past. He had a total of two trainers, the first one, which tortured him, was still missing, and the second one...he growled. The second one wasn't much better. But at least he knew where he was. The second trainer wasn't as bad as the first, but he wasn't good either. He had jet black hair and big brown hazel eyes. He wore black clothes all the time, so he was rather easy to recognize. His name...was Jack. Jack Spark.

There weren't many good times with that trainer, as he had other Pokemon to play with, to take care of. Even though Wade was a shiny, he was often forgotten because of his silent personality. There were tons of conflicts between the Pokemon and the ex-trainer, and eventually, Jack kicked him out of the team because of one big argument-

"Hello. I'm Lydia...um..."

Suddenly a soft feminine voice came from behind, and Wade's ears twitched. Turning around, and returning to reality once again, he cleared his throat as he examined the Zorua from top to bottom. Wade had a little smirk on his face. After all these years of training, it was easy to see her disguise. Even though she was turned into an eevee, her eyes were still Zorua shapped. He wasn't surprised though. He glanced at her again. She looked...different, and someone she looked special. Maybe it was because of her eyes. Maybe something else, he couldn't tell. But he could tell that she was a spy. The new recruited one.

"I'm the newly recruited spy for the Poke'Rebels. Sorry to ask, but are you also a spy? If you aren't though I can just leave"

Wade looked at her with a serious attitude and slowly nodded, "Yes, I'm a spy, Zorua."

When she giggled Wade couldn't help smiling a little. Her smile was rather warm, and she had a friendly smile on her face. But looks could be deceiving, he warned himself and stayed on guard. A Zorua couldn't be trusted, all dark types knew that. Being a dark type himself, he knew that his own kind was tricky and evil, and he had never heard of a kind Dark type before.

"The commander may have a mission for the two of us." Wade informed her in a robotic, emotionless tone, "When he does. He will come up and inform us. But right now, tell me more about yourself."

(little OOC note. other OOC things all go into the OOC thread. this is only an exception. Generals can give the spies a mission if the commander ain't there, and the Generals can give minor orders too. Btw Nice Posts everyone! Elec. Scyther you might want to add a little spacing there.)

Khufu stared at a map of the Sinnoh region, analyzing the natural formations, cities, and routes on it. Suddenly something "clicked" in his mind.

A large, empty space had been cleared off near Sunnyshore City, evidently long ago. That could be anything, Khufu thought. Probably a bird-watching site, or a park, or a...

But deep down he needed to know what it was before he could relax. It could be a military training camp, or a nuclear testing site, or an incarceration facility. Ripping himself away from the map, Khufu charged out the room to the elevator. In less than thirty seconds, he found himself standing on the roof, with Wade and Lydia talking about something. By the looks of things, they were waiting for something.

"All right you two, you might be in luck. Or, you might be in danger. Either way, there's a large, unnatural clearing near Sunnyshore, and I'm not sure of what it is. So I'll have you going off to investigate. Got it? Figure out what it is, then get back here before you're noticed."

Wade turned when he heard footsteps. It was Khufu, and since the Commander was busy, he had the power to give them missions. Knowing that Khufu the Flareon wouldn't come up for nothing, Wade had a feeling that he had something for them. Wade could still see his scar, and once again, the face of his first ex-trainer appeared in his mind again. The second one, Jack Spark, wasn't as cruel as the first one, but Wade had another reason to hate him - He was the commander of the Human Republic.

"All right you two, you might be in luck. Or, you might be in danger. Either way, there's a large, unnatural clearing near Sunnyshore, and I'm not sure of what it is. So I'll have you going off to investigate. Got it? Figure out what it is, then get back here before you're noticed."

Indeed, the PR was aware of this new unnatural clearing, but they hadn't sent anybody to check it out, until now. Wade nodded slowly, then looked at Lydia, not sure if she was ready for this.

"Lydia." Wade looked at her from top to bottom, "If you are willing to come with me this will be your first mission. Are you up for it. If you are, then you can lead the way once you're ready. I will follow (if you're ready you can start your journey with me following)."

Memories

Sitting at his desk, Jack waited for his new General to arrive.

Jack was still deep in thought. There was something about the tuft of Umbreon hair. It reminded him of a Pokemon he never wanted to remember. A Pokemon....he used to have in his party. A certain shiny Pokemon. A certain Pokemon....called Wade....

The thought of even seeing Wade again made Jack sick. He sat there, absently rubbing the scar above his eye, which Wade had given him.

Jack knew becoming the Commander would cause him to kill a few Pokemon, but he never thought about confronting Pokemon of his own.

Jack sat in his office, wondering about his past Pokemon...

As Melanie lay sleeping in her bed, she began to roll back and forth while barely whispering to herself aloud. Sweat start to form on her brown and she kept muttering the name Sebastian, and each time she did a look of pain appeared across her face. Suddenly, she sat up and screamed, "SEBASTIAN!" As she began to pant, she realized she had just been sleeping and had been having a nightmare of her past partner and best friend. Melanie quickly regained her composure and slid out of her bed, her bare feet hitting the cold tiled floor, and strolling over to her dresser.

No other human will go through the pain I went through, I will do everything in my power to prevent such events, Mel thought to herself. Now time to head over to meet Jack, he's probably looking for me already anyway.

Melanie threw on her jeans, boots and shirt before she slid on her weapons. As she clicked her hidden blades on to her wrist she quickly made her way out of her room and headed towards the nearest elevator she could find. Once in the elevator she rode it to the floor of Jack's office, the beeping of each floor passing began to irritate her. The elevator soon stopped and she made her way down the hall and pushed her way into the room in between Jack's office. As she burst in suddenly, Jack's secretary shot up at the sight of the Human Republics general.

"Hello Ma'am," began the woman, "Jack has been expecting you so you can head right in."

Melanie looked the girl up and down, she instantly could see that even though the girl was working as Jack's secretary she was certainly more than that. Melanie then smirked at the girl.

"Whether he is expecting me or not I will be going in there, but thank you for the permission." With that said she pushed open Jack's door and saw him sitting there rubbing his scar, his facial expressions showing that he was in a deep thought.

"Hello Jack, I hear you've been expecting me. What's on the agenda for today Commander?"

"Yes, I'm a spy, Zorua."

The umbreon's voice was very blank. No emotion from the pokemon was detected by Lydia, but she knew he didn't trust her. Never the less, the tiny Eevee tried not to judge him. She was new, but was surprised he had already seen through her disguise. She reckoned it was because of her eyes, but the umbreon overall was interesting. He was much more than just an umbreon, Lydia was sure of it.

Shortly after she was about to talk some more, Khufu interrupted their discussion. Something about a clearing near Sunnyshore city. She had never heard of the place..it sounded peaceful. However, Lydia was sure the name had nothing to do with the area. She imagined humans covering the area. The wide open space. A pokemon approaching...and a cry emitted from its mouth as it is shot mercilessly. The mission was surely interesting, but Lydia wasn't sure if she was up for it. Yet, a mission was a mission. It would be wrong to turn down such a great opportunity to impress her new partner, Wade.

"Lydia. If you are willing to come with me this will be your first mission. Are you up for it. If you are, then you can lead the way once you're ready. I will follow."

"Oh great. This must be my lucky day" she thought. Not as if she'd know the location of the clearing, let alone the city- what did they think she was? A living map? The umbreon was waiting for an answer.

"I'm sure I'll do a good job no worries. I won't slow you down. I guess we can start heading there now..." said Lydia. She could tell the umbreon knew she was nervous.

They were now out of the building. It felt good to be on the ground again, and Lydia let out a small sigh of relief, though she knew she wasn't done quite yet. She pulled out a map from her mane. It was the only possession she had, so the Eevee didn't have to worry about anything slowing her down.

"Ok, so, Sunnyshore seems to be right here...", she was talking to herself again, "...doesn't seem too far."

Lydia faced the umbreon, who seemed to be watching her a little too close for her taste. It made her nervous.

"Alright, so...uh...its this way right?" She pointed to a random direction with her paw, indicating the new spy had no idea where to go.

Plans

"Melanie!" Jack cried, caught off guard by the entrance of the new General.

Melanie looked at him in confusion, obviously finding it awkward to find the Commander of an army spaced out.

Jack quickly got up on his feet, and said, "So, Melanie, Congratulations for getting the post. But we haven't got time for that."

"You're right. Now let's get down to business." She calmly replied.

Jack quickly debated in his mind whether to tell her about Wade or not, and decided not to, since he didn't want to get into personal Pokemon bonds.

"All right, first off, we have to do something about the spy, that Umbreon. Hmm...okay. Rig all the heating vents with mines, if the spy enters, let it go off. The next issue is very serious. This is going to be the initiation of the main attack on the Pokemon. We're going to take them out before they can make any move. We're going to send in a spy first. Find out what they're planning. First let's get that out of the way, then we'll see about the next step."

Saying this, Jack waited for Melanie's feedback...

Melanie's sudden entrance had caught the commander off guard and he jumped, Mel held back a laugh so as not to enrage her commanding officer. She walked over to his desk as he began fumbling with some papers for his briefing for her.

Mines? In the heating vents? Did he really just suggest that? He's obviously crazy, but nevertheless lets try and change that plan really quick, thought Mel to herself.

"Commander, mines in the heating vent would probably not be the best solution in order to defend ourselves from this Umbreon spy. Keep in mind that the heating systems are in fact used for heating this very building, so by putting mines in them and letting them go off would be us destroying our own base for the Poke Rebells. Might I suggest intergrating a motion sensor system through all of the vents instead, linking it to all of our members watch communicators?" Melanie let that suggestion sink in for a moment and then continued, "as for the initiation of our plan I agree. I am more than willing to lead a small attack on the Poke Rebells to create a distraction so one of our spies can slip into their base."

Dracus Caeli
PokeRebel Commander

Dracus felt the gusts of wind flying in his face as he prepared to land at the PokeRebel training camp on Iron Island. As Dracus approached, the Pokemon in charge raised the trainees' attention to Dracus as he landed on the small island. " Hello Commander," the Instructor barked. Dracus did not reply. He saw the Trainees training and it reminded of his days when he had a Trainer. That is in the past, Dracus thought. " Is training proceeding well," Dracus questioned the Instructor. " Yes, yes very well," the Instructor stuttered. " Will they be ready for the invasion," asked Dracus. " Very likely," the Instructor replied.

"I'm sure I'll do a good job no worries. I won't slow you down. I guess we can start heading there now..."

There was a tad of confusion in her eyes, and it was obvious that she was nervous. It was normal, however, since it was her first mission. He remembered his first mission. Always stumbled around like a total moron, and needed help from the commander just in order to get started. This little Zorua had potential, and with a little training she'll be the next top spy in the PR.

Wade followed Lydia out of the building swiftly, his feet not making a sound as they moved quietly out of the structure. Then the Eevee-Zorua took out a map, and Wade tilted his head, smiling a little. Well, she was prepared. After a while of thinking she pointed at a random direction, and Wade was silent for a moment.

"No. This way." Wade corrected her and ran towards another direction at three o' clock. Sunnyshore was at the other side of the Sinnoh region, and arriving would take days. But when Sunnyshore appeared in his mind, he frowned. It was a HR stronghold, and they'd probably had defenses by then. Going there would be suicide. But he didn't say a word and continued, Wade leading the way now. Once in a while he glanced at Lydia to see if she was okay, and stopped so she could catch up. He wanted to tell her, "Don't be nervous." But he canceled that thought and continued. Somehow he couldn't keep his eyes off her, as if she was somebody special...

Althalos waited by the outside of the door to the commanders office. He had been waiting behind a potted plant for a while, and when general Melanie walked in the door, he left his spot an decided to listen in. He heard bits and pieces about mines in the heating vent, replacing them with motion sensors and a spy being needed to go collect intel. He thought about what he heard for a moment and then knocked on the door.

Clearing Doubts

"Melanie......It's not blasting mines I'm talking about. It's the Repel Mines."

Jack knew she was new, and didn't know much about the working in the base. If Watt was here he would have understood....

Jack quickly pushed the thought out of his mind. This was no time for emotions. He had to formulate a plan.

"But, your plan is good too. We can fix the vents with motion sensors. When movement is detected the heating vent can be sealed off from inside and sprayed with repel. So, we're going to install motion sensors. And Melanie, lets drop that small attack, okay? I've got something else in mind."

Thats when they heard a knock on the door, and in walked Althalos, top spy of the HR.

"Althalos! There you are! I was waiting for you." Jack said.

Althalos looked at him, and waited for his commands.

"All right Althalos. I want you to infiltrate the PR base. But, Canalave is too far off, and walking there would take too much time. Plus, they should not detect us. So, we're going by air."

Althalos looked at him with confusion.

Jack knew this, and said "I'll explain. We're going through the cargo plane which came through Mistralton City. It is going to be disguised as a HR Recruitment Plane, which we sent out during the start of the War. We're going to pass above the PR base, and we, the spies will jump on the roof of the Base, which is always unguarded, with security cameras."

Jack picked up remote from his desk and flicked on the TV. The Live feed of the PR bases Roof came into view.

"See?" Jack continued. "Since we're going to be directly above the Base, nobody will be able to see us. The plane is going to be at a low altitude, so that we'll jump without parachutes. Even if someone detects us, we'll be off the roof by the time anybody gets there. Skyla, Mistralton's Gym Leader is going to transport us there herself."

Melanie looked at Jack and said, "You keep mentioning us, but why 'us'? Only Althalos is going."

Jack looked at them and said with confusion, "Didn't I mention? I'm going with Althalos to infiltrate the base. Its the only way hear their plans, and give orders at the same time."

"While I'm gone, Melanie, you're going to be in charge. I'll be in contact through a walkie talkie. Stay in contact. There's also one more thing. Make an attack base at Lake Valor. It's the only way to Sunnyshore, and we can intercept anything they do there itself. Send about 50 people. If they die, we'll have enough firepower at the base."

Jack waited for their answer...

Lydia was happily traveling behind the umbreon. He was very fast though, and could run very far distances without a break. She would try to keep up with him, but she would get tired, and eventually they stopped here and there.

As they were running, Lydia noticed Wade peering back at her here and there. He did care after all. The Eevee was filled with emotion. He was very quiet, but she was beginning to see through that tough shell of his. Wade was a very complicated pokemon sure, but Lydia loved complicated people. Just like a puzzle. Her partner was faster and stronger than her, but eventually she would have things to also teach to Wade.

After a short break, she kicked up some speed and began to transform. Her illusion appeared to have shattered like glass, and a bright red light covered the pokemon until it faded into her original appearance. Lydia felt much better in this form, and soon joined Wade while running, now equally beside him. All she did was smile. She was forgetting about the fears of the mission now.

"I'm not afraid to show myself to you"

(we'll arrive after you post again, SweetDreams. or it'll take too long.)

When Lydia was ready, Wade took off once again without saying a word, taking the lead. Showing emotions would only make him weaker, in his opinion, so he didn't wait for her and continued his journey. He could navigate through the jungle and the routes without using the map, since he had been to the Base many, many times.

When he turned and looked again, she was covered with a bright red sphere of energy, surrounding her like a shield, then the light faded as she revealed her true form - her Zorua form. She did look different, she looked...Shiny. Smiling a little as she caught up to him, they trotted side by side, unaware that they'd exited the jungle already. When looking at the Zorua, Wade had forgotten that he was on a mission for a short duration. Eterna City was right in front of them, and they were nearly halfway there. Maybe this time...Wade was able to see Jack in the base...

"I'm not afraid to show myself to you" she said, smiling. And a gust of energy made Wade smile back at the Zorua.

"You're not nervous anymore." Wade nodded, a friendly, warm smile on his face, his coldness gone for a few seconds, "We're in Eterna now...Sunnyshore's a long way. We have to move fast."

Trying to act like he didn't care about her he ran even faster than before, leaving her behind.

"You're not nervous anymore. We're in Eterna now...Sunnyshore's a long way. We have to move fast."

Lydia thought this was already fast, but her partner dashed ahead with incredible speed. The Zorua was always the fastest in her earlier group, but as she tried to catch up with Wade, she gave out. Her tiny legs were getting worn out, and she didn't have the stamina to keep going for much longer. But her mind was back on the mission, and thats where her mind had to be. Mind, body, and spirit.

Lydia tried her hardest not to loose sight of the Umbreon. She ran faster, harder- though panting hard, she managed to follow right behind the umbreon. Her speed didn't last long though, and the pokemon tripped. She was getting hurt even before the action had started. Lydia growled. She couldn't be weak, nor show that she wasn't as good of a spy as Wade was, even if it was obvious she was inexperienced.

She got back up. As soon as she got up though, her eyes narrowed as she looked around. The umbreon wasn't in her sight. Discouraged, Lydia went into a slow walk. Wade was either watching her or had left her behind. She hoped it was the first option, but knowing him she started running in the direction she thought was the right way. Her map was useless. She never knew how to use the thing anyways.

Lydia started thinking about the mission again. Being a spy sounded fun, but she now knew how serious it could get. They hadn't even reached the place yet and the Zorua was being stretched to her limit. She didn't know what to do.

That was then she reached the area. Or atleast, it looked like it. It was surprisingly silent, with an eerie feel in the air.

"Wade? You there?" She called out.
