Location Question

I'm reallllllly new so please bear with me :P I have no idea where to post my topic..
I need help with hacking ROMs. Like, a lot. I would like someone to take me under their wing and teach me the tricks of the trade. Like I said, I'm sorry if this isn't the place for this. Any help appreciated.
