  • Just a quick team I came up with, thought I would get some opinions on it while I test it out. I wish I could give a description for each poke but it's difficult to type on my iPod. Well anyway, here it is.

    Muk @Black Sludge
    Adamant | Poison Touch
    252 HP | 252 Atk | 4 Sp. Def
Poison Jab | Shadow Sneak | Brick Break | Curse

    Houndoom @Houndoomite
    Timid | Flash Fire
    4 HP | 252 Sp. Atk | 252 Speed
Fire Blast | Dark Pulse | Hidden Power (Ice)/Sludge Bomb | Nasty Plot

    Aggron @Assault Vest
    Careful | Rock Head
    252 Atk | 4 Def | 252 Sp. Def
Head Smash | Iron Head | Earthquake | Stealth Rock

    Drifblim @Flame Orb
    Timid | Flare Boost
    176 HP | 84 Sp. Atk | 252 Speed
Protect | Air Cutter | Shadow Ball | Tailwind

  • There's no such thing as a "mixed-tier team". By regular standards, this is an OU team, due to Gastrodon's presence. OU Pokemon are not allowed in UU or below.

Gastrodon needs the coverage of Earth Power or Earthquake to be effective:
    -Earthquake/Earth Power
    -Scald
    -Ice Beam/Toxic
    -Recover
    Nature: Relaxed/Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Storm Drain

Muk is outclassed by a lot of Poison Pokemon in OU. Sure, it has a wide movepool, but it lacks the Speed to truly abuse it. Better Poison Pokemon to use are Crobat, Tentacruel, Gengar and Scolipede:

    Crobat:
    -Brave Bird
    -Defog
    -Roost
    -Taunt/Toxic
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 168 HP/136 Atk/4 SDef/200 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge
    Ability: Infiltrator

    Tentacruel:
    -Scald
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Rapid Spin
    -Toxic/Knock Off/Toxic Spikes
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 252 HP/224 Def/32 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge
    Ability: Liquid Ooze

    Gengar:
    -Shadow Ball
    -Sludge Bomb/Thunderbolt
    -Focus Blast
    -Destiny Bond
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Focus Sash

    or
    -Substitute
    -Shadow Ball
    -Disable/Will-o-Wisp/Pain Split
    -Will-o-Wisp/Pain Split/Focus Blast
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Black Sludge/Life Orb

    or
    -Shadow Ball
    -Sludge Bomb
    -Focus Blast
    -Trick/Thunderbolt/Hidden Power (Ice)
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf

    Scolipede:
    -Megahorn
    -Spikes/Toxic Spikes
    -Swords Dance/Toxic Spikes
    -Baton Pass/Earthquake/Rock Slide
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash
    Ability: Speed Boost

Personally, I think that Mega Houndoom should be used in sun teams. This team isn't one. Potential replacements are Darmanitan, Heatran, Talonflame, Charizard (both Megas) and Volcarona. Since three of these Pokemon are Stealth Rock-weak, Rapid Spin/Defog support is recommended:

    Darmanitan:
    -Flare Blitz
    -U-turn
    -Rock Slide
    -Earthquake/Superpower
    Nature: Adamant/Jolly
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Ability: Sheer Force

    or
    -Flare Blitz
    -Rock Slide
    -Earthquake/Superpower
    -Superpower/Earthquake/U-turn
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Choice Band
    Ability: Sheer Force

    Heatran:
    -Lava Plume
    -Protect
    -Roar/Earth Power
    -Toxic/Will-o-Wisp/Stealth Rock
    Nature: Calm
    EVs: 248 HP/8 Def/252 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire

    or
    -Fire Blast
    -Earth Power
    -Stealth Rock/Hidden Power (Ice)
    -Will-o-Wisp/Toxic
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Air Balloon
    Ability: Flash Fire

    or
    -Fire Blast
    -Flash Cannon
    -Earth Power
    -Hidden Power (Ice)/Flamethrower
    Nature: Modest/Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf
    Ability: Flash Fire

    or
    -Magma Storm
    -Toxic
    -Protect
    -Taunt
    Nature: Calm
    EVs: 248 HP/252 SDef/8 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Flash Fire

    Talonflame:
    -Swords Dance
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Sharp Beak/Sky Plate
    Ability: Gale Wings

    or
    -Flare Blitz
    -Brave Bird
    -U-turn
    -Tailwind/Roost
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Band/Sharp Beak/Sky Plate
    Ability: Gale Wings

    or
    -Bulk Up
    -Brave Bird
    -Roost
    -Taunt/Substitute
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 248 HP/184 Def/76 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Gale Wings

    Charizard X:
    -Dragon Dance
    -Flare Blitz/Fire Punch
    -Dragon Claw/Outrage
    -Earthquake/Roost/Swords Dance
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite X
    Ability: Blaze

    or
    -Fire Punch/Earthquake
    -Dragon Tail
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Roost
    Nature: Jolly
    EVs: 248 HP/84 SDef/176 Spe
    Item: Charizardite X
    Ability: Blaze

    Charizard Y:
    -Fire Blast
    -Solar Beam
    -Focus Blast/Dragon Pulse
    -Earthquake/Roost
    Nature: Mild/Hasty/Modest/Timid
    EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Charizardite Y

    Volcarona:
    -Quiver Dance
    -Fire Blast/Fiery Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Hidden Power (Rock/Ground)/Psychic/Giga Drain
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 252 SAtk/4 SDef/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb/Lum Berry
    Ability: Flame Body

    or
    -Quiver Dance
    -Fiery Dance
    -Bug Buzz
    -Roost
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 240 HP/252 Def/16 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Flame Body

Assault Vest prevents Aggron from using status moves like Stealth Rock. If you didn't opt for the Mega Charizards, stick to Mega Aggron only, as its weaknesses aren't as crippling when it has the Filter ability and a pure Steel typing:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Iron Head/Heavy Slam
    -Thunder Wave/Ice Punch
    -Earthquake/Rock Slide
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef
    Item: Aggronite
    Ability: Sturdy

    or
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk
    -Iron Head/Heavy Slam
    -Earthquake/Ice Punch
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef
    Item: Aggronite
    Ability: Sturdy

If you did opt for either one of the Megazards, Ferrothorn or Skarmory are good substitutes:

    Ferrothorn:
    -Stealth Rock/Spikes
    -Leech Seed
    -Power Whip/Protect
    -Gyro Ball/Thunder Wave
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/48 Def/208 SDef
    Item: Leftovers/Shed Shell/Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Iron Barbs

    Skarmory:
    -Roost
    -Whirlwind
    -Stealth Rock/Spikes/Brave Bird
    -Defog/Brave Bird
    Nature: Bold/Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef or 252 HP/16 Def/240 SDef
    Item: Leftovers/Rocky Helmet
    Ability: Sturdy

    or
    -Spikes
    -Roost
    -Whirlwind
    -Taunt/Brave Bird
    Nature: Bold/Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Sturdy

There are better Ghost Pokemon out there than Drifblim. Jellicent, Trevenant and Gourgeist those Pokemon, as well as Gengar (already mentioned above):

    Jellicent:
    -Scald/Shadow Ball
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Recover
    -Taunt
    Nature: Bold
    EVs: 248 HP/172 Def/84 Spe
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Water Absorb/Cursed Body

    or
    -Scald
    -Shadow Ball/Ice Beam

    -Recover
    Nature: Calm

    Gourgeist (Super Size):
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Leech Seed
    -Seed Bomb
    -Shadow Sneak
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Frisk

    Trevenant:
    -Horn Leech/Wood Hammer
    -Earthquake/Rock Slide
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Rest
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/180 Def/76 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Lum Berry
    Ability: Natural Cure/Harvest

    or
    -Horn Leech
    -Shadow Claw/Leech Seed
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Protect
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 244 HP/16 Def/248 SDef
    Item: Sitrus Berry
    Ability: Harvest

    or
    -Substitute
    -Leech Seed
    -Will-o-Wisp
    -Phantom Force
    Nature: Impish
    EVs: 252 HP/180 Def/76 Spe
    Item: Sitrus Berry
    Ability: Harvest

There are better Grass Pokemon out there than Leafeon. See above for Ferrothorn, Trevenant and Gourgeist. I could suggest Mega Venusaur, but your Mega slot may be already taken. In addition to the above Grass Pokemon, consider Breloom, Tangrowth and Chesnaught:

    Breloom:
    -Spore/Force Palm
    -Bullet Seed
    -Mach Punch
    -Rock Tomb/Force Palm
    Nature: Jolly/Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash/Life Orb
    Ability: Technician

    or
    -Drain Punch
    -Leech Seed
    -Protect
    -Rock Tomb/Spore
    Nature: Careful
    EVs: 252 HP/252 SDef/4 Spe
    Item: Toxic Orb
    Ability: Poison Heal

    Tangrowth:
    -Leaf Storm/Giga Drain
    -Knock Off
    -Earthquake
    -Hidden Power (Fire/Ice)/Rock Slide
    Nature: Sassy
    EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SDef
    Item: Assault Vest
    Ability: Regenerator

    or
    -Giga Drain/Leaf Storm
    -Knock Off
    -Earthquake/Sleep Powder
    -Hidden Power (Ice/Fire)
    Nature: Relaxed
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Regenerator

    Chesnaught:
    -Leech Seed
    -Spiky Shield
    -Hammer Arm
    -Synthesis/Roar/Stone Edge/Seed Bomb
    Nature: Impish

You can't do a mixed tier team on Showdown. If this is for Battle Spot, then you can do that.

  • This team isn't for Showdown, it's for playing over wifi. I know there isn't actually a "mixed tier" but I like to play with Pokemon that I like, not pokemon people think are good. That's why I put the title as Mixed Tier, since I'm using a mix of pokemon from different tiers. I posted this thread in order to see what other people though of the team itself, it's synergy and the movesets I have.

As for Mega Houndoom, I feel that with Nasty Plot it can function just fine on almost any kind of team. Besides, since Leafeon has Sunny Day it's still a semi-sun team. And I realize I'm going to have to change Stealth Rock for something else, I forgot Assault Vest meant no status moves. I will substitute it for either Double-Edge, Superpower, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, or Dragon Tail. Not sure yet.

If someone could give their opinion on the synergy of the pokes and not take any poke out that would be awesome.

Mega Houndoom should use Taunt in the last slot to prevent walls from setting up on it.

If you're not using Mega Aggron for whatever reason at all, just stick to Choice Band Head Smashes:
    -Head Smash
    -Heavy Slam/Iron Head
    -Earthquake
    -Fire Punch/Aqua Tail
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 116 HP/252 Atk/140 Spe
    Item: Choice Band
    Ability: Rock Head

Unburden is the best way to use Drifblim to compensate for its average Speed:
    -Calm Mind
    -Shadow Ball
    -Thunderbolt/Hidden Power (Fighting)
    -Rest/Substitute
    Nature: Modest
    EVs: 20 HP/252 SAtk/236 Spe
    Item: Chesto Berry/Sitrus Berry
    Ability: Unburden
