This is my shoddy battle team.
    Infernape/Life Orb
    Blaze/Nature:Adamant/Ev - Att 255 Spd 255
    Fake Out
    Flare Blitz
    Close Combat
    Stealth Rock
Has been working well for me but not as well. He always does this: Fake Out+Stealth rock and then faints to something. But when he's alive it's very useful. Looking for another good lead.

    Gengar/Lefties
    Levitate/Nature:Modest/EV - Sp.att 255 Spd 255
    Destiny Bond
    Toxic
    Protect
    Confuse Ray
This thing hasn't done anything for me. Destiny Bond usually fails because the opponent switches and I die to T-tar's Sandstorm.

    Starmie/Expert Belt
    Natural Cure/Nature:Modest/EV Sp.Att 255 Spd 255
    Surf
    Thunder Bolt
    Psychic
    Reflect
Mixed Attacker. People who think Starmie is a bEaSt, You are right. No words.

    Tyranitar/Expert Belt
    Sand Stream/Nature:Adamant/EV Sp.Def 255 Def 255
    Stone Edge
    Crunch
    Thunder Punch
    SuperPower
This thing is my tank. It survived 5 Surfs from No Boost Starmie. BeAsT.

    Heracross/Toxic Orb
    Guts/Nature:Adamant/EV Spd 255 Att 255
    Swords Dance
    Facade
    Megahorn
    Close Combat
This thing sweeped 5 pokes after 2 SD's. Want to keep.

    Flygon/Expert Belt
    Levitate/Nature:Rash/EV - Sp. att 255 Spd 255
    Fire Blast
    Draco Meteor
    U-Turn
    Earthquake
It's not as good as I expected but will do.

So this is my team. Tell me mah weaknesses. Example battle:

Rules: Ladder Match, Sleep Clause, Freeze Clause, OHKO Clause, Evasion Clause, Species Clause, Strict Damage Clause, Soul Dew Clause

BTW I'm fairly new to team rating but I'll give it my best :)

    Aerodactyl/Focus Sash
    Pressure/Nature:Jolly/EV - Att 252 Spd 252 Hp 6
    Stealth Rock
    Taunt
    Stone Edge/Earthquake
    Protect/Stone Edge/Earthquake
Some people say Gen 5 Ruined Aerodactyl as a lead, but I disagree...
You will outspeed nearly all pokes apart from Electrode, Deoxys and Ninjask. However the one to be afraid of is electrode. If he is sent out first (which is doubtful because I have never seen an Electrode lead) hit him with an earthquake, then when he has been dealt with send out your stealth rock and use protect as a use for your pressure ability (mainly for strong moves like Hydro Pump ect. with only 5 pp)

    Gengar/Lefties
    Levitate/Nature:Modest/EV - Sp.att 252 Spd 252 Hp 4
    Shadow Ball
    Focus Blast
    Dream Eater
    Hypnosis
This is my moveset for my Gengar, I use it to cut peoples flow with a hypnosis and just try to outspeed dark types and hit with a Focus Blast ;)

    Starmie/Expert Belt
    Natural Cure/Nature:Modest/EV Sp.Att 252 Spd 252 Hp 6
    Surf
    Thunder Bolt
    Psychic
    Reflect
If it works don't change it :)

    Tyranitar/Expert Belt
    Sand Stream/Nature:Adamant/EV Sp.Def 252 Def 252 Hp 6
    Stone Edge
    Crunch
    Thunder Punch
    SuperPower
    Strong tank :D

    Heracross/Toxic Orb
    Guts/Nature:Adamant/EV Spd 252 Att 252 Hp 6
    Swords Dance
    Facade
    Megahorn
    Close Combat
Again, this is a good moveset :)

    Flygon/Choice Scarf
    Levitate/Nature:Jolly/EV Atk 252 Spd 252 SpA 6
    Earthquake
    Outrage
    Fire Blast
    Stone Edge
I found this on the internets and was like 'this is an awesome moveset :O'
Earthquake and Outrage prove really well as STAB moves and are hard hitting, And Stone Edge and Fire Blast prove good covers who resist/are immune to Outrage/Earthquake (for example Bronzong

Oh and if you are wondering why I have decreased all of your EV's from 255 + 255 to 252 + 252 + 6 it is because of the calculation means that you waste 4 EV's moving one stat upto 255 or something... IDK but there is something important about 252...

It also helps boost a diiferent stat :D

  • Is this a Gen IV team, or a Gen V team? Anyway, here are my suggestions (Gen IV):

    Change Infernape's set to:
    -Fake Out
    -Stealth Rock
    -Overheat/Fire Blast
    -Close Combat
    Nature: Hasty/Naive
    EVs: 64 Atk/252 SAtk/192 Spe
    Item: Focus Sash

Give this Gengar set a shot. Your current set is too gimmicky, and the suggested set is too risky, since Hypnosis + Dream Eater is easily countered by switching:
    -Substitute
    -Disable/Pain Split
    -Shadow Ball
    -Focus Blast
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb

Make Starmie your Rapid Spinner; Reflect isn't worth it:
    -Surf
    -Thunderbolt
    -Rapid Spin
    -Recover/Ice Beam
    Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 HP/4 SDef/252 Spe (if using Recover) or 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe (if using Ice Beam)
    Item: Leftovers/Life Orb
    Ability: Natural Cure

I'd give Flygon the Choice Scarf.

I'd make the most out of Tyranitar's massive movepool with this:
    -Flamethrower/Fire Blast
    -Ice Beam
    -Dark Pulse/Crunch/Thunderbolt/Stone Edge
    -Superpower
    Nature: Hasty
    EVs: 56 Atk/252 SAtk/200 Spe
    Item: Expert Belt

If this is Gen V, go with what I suggested, except:

    Make Tyranitar your lead:
    -Stealth Rock
    -Fire Blast
    -Crunch
    -Ice Beam/Superpower
    Nature: Sassy
    EVs: 252 HP/280 SAtk/76 SDef
    Item: Leftovers
    Ability: Sand Stream

    Replace Flygon with Hydreigon:
    -Draco Meteor
    -Fire Blast
    -Focus Blast
    -U-turn/Dark Pulse
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf

With the Gen V, changes, use this Infernape set:
    -Overheat/Fire Blast
    -Close Combat
    -Grass Knot/U-turn
    -Stone Edge/Mach Punch
    Nature: Hasty/Naive
    EVs: 252 Atk/4 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Life Orb
    Ability: Blaze

    Vrai

Well, personally I dont like choice scarfs cause you have to switch to make a new move so...
BTW I decided to make infernape a mixape and have a claydol lead.
    Claydol/Light Clay
    Explosion
    Light Screen
    Stealth rock
    Rapid Spin

I just randomly chose this guy. He's been good in the past day but I see many Metagross leads and leads that explosion just won't OHKO.

  • If you're going to use Claydol as a lead, give him a Choice Band and Trick over Light Screen >_>
Impish with HP and DEF build.
