Hello, there. Can I reserve the Lucario line, please?
Name: Felix Teufel
Nickname: Lix, according to his sister
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: For the most part, Felix seems to be an average commoner. Nothing special about his height of five-and-a-half feet, and he doesn't have extra weight in the form of muscles or fat. If anything, he's on the lean side nowadays. Felix often goes several months at a time before allowing scissors near his head; it takes that long for his stiff, mud-brown hair to grow more than an inch anyway. The only real color in Felix's plain-looking face comes from his blue eyes. On any given day, Felix can be seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt, usually blue or green, and brown trousers and boots. He always wears his dark-green scarf around his neck. Always. Felix figures that nobody would want to see the red splotch on his neck, and he doesn't want anyone staring anyway.
Personality: 'Gullible' isn't quite the appropriate one-word description for Felix; it would be more like 'innocent' or 'naive', at least when it comes to city-life. Felix just doesn't have that much experience with the lies, schemes, and wrongdoings that can be found in any city. He'll take what another person says at face-value, and Felix is likely to act without really realizing at first the consequences. It would be hard to find an ounce of dishonesty or hate anywhere in him. It's just not that prevalent a thing in some of the outlying settlements, or at least where Felix is from.
That being said, Felix is a reserved, likable young man. Well, maybe he's likable only because he's reserved. Felix doesn't speak his mind all the time, really, partly because he's a bit afraid that his opinion won't matter or that someone else won't like it. It didn't matter much when his parents and older siblings, more or less the only people around while he grew up, knew more about how the world worked, so why would it now? He'll open up more to someone who tries to be a real friend, sure, but again, Felix hasn't been in the city much.
Buried in there somewhere is a competitive streak. Felix wants to know how he compares to other people when it comes to any sort of game or contest, strangers or no. More likely than not, he'd be beaten in a lot of things, but he doesn't see that as a reason to not try. At least Felix doesn't seem to be the sort who wants to win at any cost.
History: The lumber, meat, and furs that show up in Hearthome City have to come from somewhere. One such source is a village up in the northern reaches of Sinnoh, to be known as Snowpoint City one day. This is where Felix was born and raised, with two older brothers and a sister. During his early childhood, Felix was told about his grandfather, Dieter Teufel, one of the famous Knights of his time. The stories of Dieter that Felix's mother told him were magnificent and featured Dieter as a hero. Admittedly, there was every likelihood that they were exaggerated for his enjoyment, but Felix didn't know that. Answers were always vague whenever he tried asking why his father, Helfried, had left Hearthome City with his mother, Mareike Kröger.
By the time he came to be twelve years of age, Felix had been introduced to the fact that living in an outlying village meant he had to do his part of the general workload. Once he got used to that, it wasn't that big of a deal for him. Felix had his brothers, Edmund and Leonhard, to show him how to do things, and Fritzi, his sister, was usually ready for a game or two in their spare time. Felix's father, on the other hand, had become distant over the years; Felix could never figure out why, other than that Helfried was a loner among the villagers to begin with.
Life was good and all in the village, at least as far as young Felix could see. Thing is, change always comes sooner or later. The first indicator was on a clear day in his twelfth winter, when Leonhard was trying to show him a bit of archery on the village's wall. Sounds of fighting some yards outside the wall drew their attention to a pair of Pokemon that were fighting each other - a Riolu and a Snover. Normally, it would have only mattered as a show for the two kids to watch, and it wasn't normal to find a Riolu around those parts in the first place. When Felix climbed up on top of the wall's edge to get a better view, he promptly fell off, landing on a snowdrift outside the wall. Because he hit his head, Felix missed the next couple minutes of action, and the fact that the Snover had knocked down the Riolu before turning its attention to him. When he came to, the Snover was lying dead just feet away, sprouting arrows from its head and torso.
On a childish, impulsive whim, Felix stumbled over to the Riolu and hid it under his coat before Leonhard and a few adults came outside the wall to retrieve him. He managed to hide the Riolu well enough for the next two days, taking care of it as much as a kid could by himself. The Riolu's condition got better once Leonhard and Fritzi found out about it and helped, with much reluctance on Leonhard's part. On the third day after the incident, a wandering trapper came to their village and announced his search for a certain Pokemon that had escaped him; it seemed that some rich person in Hearthome wanted the Riolu very badly. When he promised a reward for anyone who could lead him to the Riolu, Leonhard didn't hesitate to rat it out. Felix tried to defend the Riolu, called Leo now, but he couldn't get his way on this matter.
At least the trapper didn't leave immediately. He stayed the night in the Teufels' house, bringing an extravagant dinner as part of the promised reward. His father confined Felix to his room for the time being, but that didn't stop him from climbing out a window and heading out to the small barn, where the Riolu was caged up. Leo's cage was already dented from attempting to escape; a well-placed blow with a hammer finished the job. Hiding themselves in the barn only worked until the trapper came out the next day and discovered the broken cage. After a confrontation that drew in the whole Teufel family, the trapper was forced to leave the village without the Riolu.
Not to say that Felix's father and Leonhard treated Leo any better. He had cost the Teufels a near-wealth of winter supplies, after all. The next few years were back to normal, with Felix and Fritzi spending the most time with Leo. The Riolu was treated more or less like the family pet and was kept in sight as much as possible. What Felix found interesting was that whenever he watched Edmund train in swordsmanship with their father, Leo would be watching intently as well, as if he were learning from the swordsmen. That was the closest to any sort of combat that Felix would see coming from Leo.
A month after Felix turned seventeen years old, the village was struck with a disease that took, among others, Felix's mother and Leonhard. His father took to drinking after that, quickly becoming ill-fit for logging, hunting, anything except mourning. Though he wasn't as good at it as Leonhard had been, Felix began hunting for food more than ever, while Edmund took over management of the Teufels' affairs. When their father died from alcohol poisoning a few weeks later, Edmund decided that they couldn't live in the Lake Acuity area any longer. He seemed to have the idea that he could become a Knight in Hearthome City with Leo at his side, though Edmund admitted that it would take more training before they could pair up effectively.
What could Felix say to that? Fate seemed to have other plans, however. Soon after the remaining three Teufels arrived in Hearthome, the queen's guards came looking for people with certain Pokemon. Fortunately for Felix, it was clearly evident that Leo was with him, not Edmund. Or was it unfortunate?

Pokémon's Personality: To be honest, Felix and Fritzi are the only two humans that Leo likes at all. Still more or less a child himself, Leo doesn't look kindly on a world that has, for the most part, either looked down on him with hatred or tried to finish him off. The Riolu only tolerates the world now as long as Felix is shielding him from the worst of it. Leo considers him an acquaintance at best, since only Felix treats him more as a friend than a pet. The only aggression Leo ever shows, so far, is when he or Felix are clearly being attacked or threatened. All that aside, the Riolu finds watching and listening to be the best way of learning how to progress and become stronger.
Magic: Copycat. Seeing as Leo learned it only recently, Felix has had only a few instances of showing any sort of magic himself.
Password: Pokémon and the past are fun!
Other: Inherited from the Blaziken that was his father, Blaze Kick and Sky Uppercut are something that Leo has been able to do only on rare occasions.
