Super Mario 3D World - Available Now!

Im really looking forward to get this game whenever i get a Wii U, cause it looks pretty fun to me ^^

This is a game that I would buy a WiiU system for. If I had not just bought a PS4 this would the next thing in my list to get. I know all of us here love Nintendo for at least Pokemon, but until now they haven't really given me a reason to want a WiiU...now I want one. When a new Zelda comes out then I'll be hooked.

Being in Europe SUCKS ASS.

Same here, though i dont mind waiting a week if i dont have the console for it yet xD

Still wondering why this is WiiU only! It looks cool and Mario3D is still, arguably, the best game for 3DS. I would buy it for 3DS if possible.

I've seen a Trailer of it at the local Games Store, it'll come next week around here.
I'm not really attracted to Home Consoles anymore, but my YouTube Channel needs to get more Views, as it lost 300.000 Views during this month.

In other words, I'm debating between not getting or getting it.

I'm definitely purchasing it next week. However I won't play it until I finish my other Mario games (Bowser's inside story and Dream Team). It looks really fun though!
I did want another major 3D platformer like Galaxy but this looks interesting nonetheless.

I finally bought this. Damn you Europe.

Beat world 1. So far so good...but I'm not really feeling it, or at least the same way I did with NSMBU. Maybe it's because I prefer 2D platformers. Then again, it took world 2 for NSMBU to shine to me, so it's possible it'll happen here. We'll see.

This and X are pretty much system sellers for me, and this looks like a really fresh entry for the Mario games. I can't wait to try it...

I was planning to buy this game the day after release, but couldn't—didn't have time to get to GameStop. Will get a hold of it eventually, though! I've seen a few gameplay videos of it on YouTube, and it looks extremely fun. It doesn't seem to have online multiplayer, though (which I really wanted). If it had, it would've been quite awesome. You could've played with anyone you like at any time, regardless of where they were.

I bought the game yesterday on Black Friday, and I played it with my brother and our neighbor. We were having so fun, but there were also times where constantly die in some levels for goofing off and got our first game over, which I hated because modern Mario games are suppose to be easy to play. We're currently in the fourth world right now.

After further playing on both single player and multiplayer, I can safely say this is my favorite 3D Mario right next to Mario 64. :D

The controls might take a while to get used to, and the game only starts picking up in world 3, but it's amazing from there. Love it! It's basically 3D Land without the flaws. That said, it does have its own share of flaws, mainly the camera being too far off fact making it hard to tell the distance from the platforms, which was actually the cause of most of my deaths. I also hate the fact Mario (and the rest) have a gimped moveset. In 64, Mario was a damn ninja. Hell, even the NSMB series got tons of moves that aren't needed but still appreciated. They got rid of the triple jump here for some reason. :/ Multiplayer is good, chaotic fun. You'll have a blast if you got some friends over. I don't know if I should be ashamed or happy that we managed to get a game over on a mario game haha. I still prefer NSMBU

That said, Toad's the best. The people's champion!

Toad is quite wonderful; though I found myself playing Luigi or Peach more often! But I love this game too! Although, I'm really bad at grabbing those starts - the extra course after you beat the game requires you to have 210 stars which I only have 190, ugh. I like Bowser's levels in this game; very casino like!

Thoughts On Super Mario 3D World

To be honest Super Mario 3D World might have been one of my favorite games. I mean Super Mario Land was sort of boring. But now that there's multiplayer its awesome! And the MUSIC!!! OH MY GOD. Amazing music especially Bowser's theme. I also like how this time Mario isn't saving Princess Peach. Instead he's saving these fairy people who are just like the 7 sages from The Legend of Zelda. I just love this game!

This'll sound like a dumb reason not to be excited for it because it's freaking Mario, but the game looks too bright and colorful. What I mean by this is that usually the series isn't too bad, but this one just looks garish and unpleasing to the eyes. Barely anything isn't red, yellow, blue, or green. I can't get through a game if I don't like how it looks.

When it comes down to it, I was disappointed by this game.

But not because it's colorful and happy. The hell? We're at a point where games like that are barely seen. It's not like it's blinding man, trust me.

I guess I can't judge Super Mario 3D World too much. I've never played it, only having watched a couple of gameplay videos.

The one I really didn't like was New Super Mario Bros. 2. Having the coin powerup not be an invincibility one (or give you invincibility as well) was really counterintuitive and gave me several deaths, I found the music repetitive and annoying, and the level design felt really perfunctory.

Trying to find all the stars is.. a tedious task, but, yeah. What did you guys think of the whole.. 'carnival' bit from Bowser? I thought it was a pretty cool approach, but ugh, I think the Bowser battles are really annoying. XD
