The Search

A poem I made in dedication to my pair. please enjoy.


The Search

The most precious things are never easy to find.
You must search for them if you truly want them.
Think of places and search your mind.
Treat these things like a precious gem.
If you do not look, you shall not find
for such is the way of the search.

Beware false paths, as they will lead you astray.
Beware false truths, for they will perplex you.
Beware obstacle, for they will get in the way.
Beware complications, unless they are due.
These tasks are daunting, but you must get through
for such is the way of the search.

So go as the slow floating flower petals go,
or cross the deepest sea for what you seek.
If you aren?t willing to go the distance then know
you will fail like cowards, miserable and meek.
You must press on, if you wish to succeed
for such is the way of the search.

But all is not hardship, misery and pain
If what you seek seeks you as well.
Then with speed of water striking Earth as rain
you?ll soon end your search, as time will tell.
The end will draw near, as you both draw close
for such is the way of the search.

This search has ended. Both sides are found.
Happiness replaces and pain is gone.
Together their spirits are abound
And shall remain as such, fused as one.
The only thing worth searching for is love,
for such is the way of the search.
