Pokemon Crystal pt.1- Back to English!

It's a new day! In this video, I begin the Crystal portion of the Ultimate Zubat Solo Challenge. It's ridiculously long, because of the opening segment of Gen II, but we catch our Zubat at the end, so next time things get started again.

Winners of the Name My Zubat Contests for Gen I
Mraxeguy- Named my Zubat Bruce Wayne
Galen Pedryc - Named my Rival Galen.

Thanks to you both for participating, and everyone who sent entries through YT and PMs. New contests coming soon, so be sure to subscribe!

  • Vince- don't know if I told you this or not, but I don't have a problem evolving your Golbat to Crobat for this game. You used Golbat for Gen I, but I tend to go more with family solo than true solo. For example, I fully intend on finishing Blue with a Porygon, Silver with a Porygon2, and Platinum with a PorygonZ.

Of course, if you want to use Golbat the whole time, that's fine too.

I hadn't considered that it would be a problem, but that's great! Using Crobat would be a lot easier I think. I'm already depressed thinking about how hard it's going to be to defeat Jasmine, I'll need all the power I can get!

  • Aye, plus you'll get Fly over Wing Attack, which is especially useful if you go the Fly/Bite/Giga Drain/Hidden Power moveset that I did.

Replace HP with Confuse Ray though, and that might just be me.

Lets have some WHARRGARBL, shall we?

Whats the best emulator for DS?

Im looking for something with some kind of speed up toggle (at last 200%, normal speed creeps me out) and some way to trade something from Diamond/Pearl to Platinum, so I can continue my Ultimate on Gyarados.

Well, it depends, DesMuME runs about 80% to about 130% Speed depending on your computer, and with a fix patch, it doesn't freeze much, maybe once or twice.
And No$GBA goes pretty fast with 4th gen games, but crashes a lot.

I would say DesMuME if you want to keep playing without crashes. Diamond/Pearl/Platinum doesn't need a fix patch for DesMuME, so that's even better.

and some way to trade something from Diamond/Pearl to Platinum, so I can continue my Ultimate on Gyarados.

As for trading, you cannot trade with No$GBA at all, and you can over GTS on DesMuME, but I wouldn't recommend, you have to have tons of requirements with your DesMuME and Computer.

I would recommend just using Desmume, and just hack in Magikarp with maybe Tackle or something.

    I hope I helped. :P:P

    Thanks a lot :)

Do you know if there is a guide somewhere on how could I hack that Magikarp?

You could use PokeGen. Just google PokeGen and it will be a Project Pokemon link, it should be the first one. On the site, just click "Download and Other Information", it will go to the PokeGen thread in the Project Pokemon Forums.

I hope this is detailed enough. Also, PokeGen supports B2W2, so that's pretty awesome.

Anyways, to wrap up my Solo Challenge, I beat my Black 2 Gengar solo.

  • Against what is probably my better judgement, knowing how difficult it will be because of lack of type advantage. I am going to attempt an Ultimate Solo with a Fearow as a tribute to my beginning days of Pokemon.
