Description: Vanessa is quite the beauty, if I do say so myself. Her skin his a light caramel color, almost as if she spends all her days tanning in the sun. Atop her head is mane of curly, black hair that extends to her shoulder blades. On particularly hot days, she ties it up in a ponytail, as do most females. She always puts on pink and glittery lipstick before leaving home and just incase, takes an extra lipstick capsule with her at all times. Her normal attire consist of a flashy necklace, a sleeve-less blue shirt, red and blue plaid shorts, a pair of all-white running sneakers, and last but not least, a pink backpack in which she holds all her necessities.

Personality: Look up the definition for Prima Donna in the dictionary, and you just might find Vanessa's picture. In other words, I dare you to find someone more conceited than her. Being an only child, she was constantly spoiled by her parents to the point where she actually believed she was better than some people. Due to this, Vanessa isn't exactly a team player but will still travel with the group, as her fear of being left alone overpowers any standards she has. When it comes to Pokemon relationships, Vanessa acts a bit differently. She'd much rather capture cute Pokemon as opposed to strong ones, but once she does capture one, she becomes extremely affectionate of it. Maybe a little too affectionate...

History: Vanessa was born into a high-middle class family in Celadon city. Her parents only wanted one child, so when she was to be left an only child. Her father was the one who "brought home the bacon," as the saying goes, so her mother stayed home most of the time. Leaving two females in a house together will only amount to one thing: massive amounts of make-up, and in those first ten years is when Vanessa developed her stylish personality. Then tragedy struck when her mother became terribly ill. Although she survived the sickness, for two months Vanessa had to stay home everyday, alone. Ever since her mother recovered, she never wanted to be alone for such a long time again, and her parents feared this would interfere with their plans to send her off on a Pokemon journey. Finally they came up with a plan and moved to the small town of Twinleaf, where many trainers traveled in packs. They also wanted to get their daughter away from the rising Team Rocket activity in Celadon, but little did they know of the catastrophes about to hit Sinnoh.

"So... hot..."

Cato impatiently fanned himself as he stood on the registration line, awaiting his turn. That morning on Zenith island had been way too hot for the young trainer to be wearing his usual sweater vest, but the ugly piece of clothing had almost become a part of him after all these years. If that wasn't bad enough, the line was formed in a shadeless area on the isle with people standing shoulder to shoulder. The anxious teen could literally feel the body heat of a nearby man rubbing off on him. If it weren't for the opportunity of a life-time being presented by this mysterious tournament, Cato would have surely stayed home with his beloved air conditioner. He turned his gaze to sky, hoping the heat would at least create hallucinations of oncoming rainclouds, but frowned at the sight of a sky void of such things.

"Next up!"

The surprisingly manly voice brought Cato out of his trancelike state, and he quickly adjusted his glasses to give the impression that he was actually paying attention. The sweaty trainer ran his hands through his curly, black hair, gave a slight sigh, and stepped forward. He let out and unintentional gasp as he eyed the employee sitting behind the desk buried into a computer screen. Despite the deep, masculine voice, he was looking at a female— or at least, something that once was a female. The overweight receptionist barely fit into her small seat, let alone uniform— and unless Cato's eyes where playing tricks on him, she sported a fancy tattoo on the back of her neck. Just his luck to be stuck with odd one out of all the beauties.

"Ya deaf, kid?"

"Oh, I apologize. Can you please repeat that?"

The obese woman groaned loudly and turned to the trainer. "Give. Me. Your. ID," she said slowly as if Cato had a hearing disability. Not wanting to get into an argument, especially with all these people watching, the trainer reached into his wallet and retrieved the ID that was assigned to all trainers. The large woman snatched the rectangular card from his hand and began typing away at her keyboard.

"Cato Cornelius. Gender, male. Age seventeen. Born in Johto Region. Trainer ID 6497 – 3914 – 0684. Registered Pokemon: Feraligatr, Houndoom, and an Elekid," she finally said, almost robotically.

"Actually," Cato interrupted, "it's an Electabuzz. We had a recent evolution and I guess the database has yet to update my profile."

"Yeah, sure," the lady commented unenthusiastically before returning to her keyboard.

"Is that all?" the trainer asked disappointedly, hoping she would mention the fact that he had won all eight badges of the Johto League so all others could hear. Unfortunately, she didn't hear him— or more likely was ignoring him— and continued typing. She moved one of her hands to nearby machine that spat out a card similar to the trainer cards.

"Have a nice day," she said while handing him the cards, although it sounded a bit forced. "NEXT!"

After sliding both cards into his wallet, Cato hastily moved aside as to not agitate the man standing behind him. Well, it was official. He was now a contestant in the Zenith Island Tournament. But first things first, he needed to cool down.

Seeing as most trainers were collected around the main desks to retrieve their competitor IDs, it didn't take long for the boy to find a nice, empty spot. After reaching into his messenger's bag for a pokeball, he pressed the small button twice— once to enlarge the ball, and a second time to release the blue, bipedal alligator inside. The Feraligatr gave a slight smile to her trainer and awaited her commands.

"Okay Aquarius, can you give me a light water gun?" Cato requested.

The Pokemon gave a nod of approval and released a stream of water from her mouth. A joyous grin appeared on the trainer's face as the cold liquid splashed against it, cleansing it of the copious amount of sweat. He didn't mind getting his clothes or bag wet, as long as he was relieved from this mind-boggling heat. When the attack finally ceased, Cato wiped his face with his sweater vest and recalled his Pokemon.

"Time to find some shade."

Name: Maya

Age/Gender: 16/female

Personality: Maya is your avergae teenage female. She helps her mother with the salon everyday, with a dream of running her own in the future. She has never really had an interest in pokemon battling, stating that "it's boring". She does, however, find an interest in grooming and breeding Pokemon. Her abilitiy is shown in her prized Pokemon named Mimi. Maya is not quick to anger; though she gets easily stressed and despises pressure from other people, especially from ones who say she should actully go out and battle for once and earn badges. Her parents don't say anything, but Maya knows that they feel she should go out and battle. That an adventure would be good for her at this age, whether she likes battling or not.

Description: Maya isn't the prettiest girl you met, truth be told. She sees herself as average. A little short for her age (about 5'4"), not really fat, but not "anorexic skinny" either, as she likes to call it. Her hair is the color brown, not all that light, and straight. It goes down just past her shoulders, and, unlike her Eevee's, doesn't normally shine that much. Her eyes are hazel, green with grown around the outside of the pupil. When she was younger, people always had made fun of them for being "too big". It always made her a little self conscious, but like the old saying goes, time heals everything.

History: Maya grew up in a small house in the town of Jubilife. Her parents work at a family-owned salon located beside there house. There they make over Pokemon and humans. Maya spent hours as a kid dressing up Mimi and giving her "pretend make overs". Now a days she helps her family operate the business. She works any day she chooses, and helps wash and groom the customer's Pokemon. Gving Mimi a special salon treatment is always one of Maya's favorite hobbies. Bathing her, grooming her coat, pedicures, you name it! This makes their bond very close and, of course, keeps Mimi looking very pretty!

Mimi: Mimi has a surprisngly sweet personality compared to how much she is spoiled by Maya daily. She loves being clean, though she has never really experienced the "dirtier, rougher side of things" so her reaction to it is unknown. She sports an incredibly shiny coat and a pair of the most gorgeous blue eyes anyone ever saw. She always walks around with her silky brown tail held high, her sweet smelling fur swaying slightly in the breeze. A light pink bow is around her neck at all times.

Description: Ash has always looked intimidating to approach and talk to. Standing at 5'7, she is a little tall for her age. Ash always wears the same black hat and black shirt to match. She also wears red pants. Her clothes all always dirty due to the fact that she is always traveling, making people think that she is already on a pokemon journey. Some people look down on her because of the little kid (her brother) that is always with her.

Personality: Ash's past has shaped her personality a lot. After being responsible for her younger brother, Eddy, she has learned to be fun-loving and happy, but also responsible. Ash can be very immature about some things and still acts like a kid now and then, but that doesn't mean she can't be serious when she needs to be. Ash can be very clever and sneaky, making her intelligent when she is in tight situations.

History: Ash thought her life was normal for a while. She lived in a decent house, got good grades in her Pokemon School, and had a younger brother, Eddy, who was six years younger than her. The only thing Ash thought she was missing was her parents' love and care. They were always extremely harsh and unrealistic to Ash and her younger brother. Even with the harsh behavior, Ash and Eddy beared through each day hoping that everything would change soon.

Because of their parents' behavior, Ash and Eddy grew very close together. Ash almost looked over Eddy like a parent, always keeping him out of trouble as much as she could. She dealt with all the bullies Eddy seemed to get at school and worked to keep him away from their parents as much as possible and always wanted to take the blame for Eddy's mistakes. Eddy looked up to Ash as a real role-model way more than his own parents.

Eddy wanted to be just like his older sister, so he decided that it was time to take a stand. He stood up to a bully that had been picking on him for a while. The bully started a fight with Eddy, causing Eddy to get expelled from school. Ash's parents did not take the news well and punished their younger child by beating him along with other harsh punishment. Watching Eddy go through made Ash fill with rage and she knew her parents had crossed the line.

Ash and Eddy had no life at home anymore. Ash knew they both needed a new life away from their parents, so she secretly raised money for almost a whole year instead of just taking off. When the right night came, Ash snuck into Eddy's room and explained the events that were happening. Eddy followed along with Ash, and they both used the money to buy a voyage to a new world called Sinnoh with money to spare.

Ash and Eddy explored the land for a while, trying to find the right way to settle into a new life with no success. They then stumbled into a pokemon that was much like them; lonely without a path in life. Ash learned it was a Riolu and took it in to raise along with her younger brother. They, shortly after, came to the town of Sandgem, where somebody offered Ash a great challenge. It was a way for Ash and Eddy to rebuild their lives.

RP Sample: Just an excerpt from Zimvee's rp

Gold walked for a few more minutes until he heard a scream. Pikachu, falling asleep on Gold's shoulder, shot his head up and looked at his trainer. Gold knew his pokemon was trying to see what he was thinking. Gold thought for a few minutes.

"Let's go check it out," said Gold. He ran towards the noise.

Gold arrived at the scene and saw a mob of bug pokemon. In the middle of it was a boy who looked a little bit younger than Gold. He noticed Gold standing there.

"Hey, you, help me out here!" shouted the boy.

"A little pushy, but I guess I can't just leave you like this," said Gold. He grabbed Pidgey's poke ball. "Go, Pidgey!"

He threw the poke ball in the air, and a small bird pokemon appeared.

"Pikachu, help her," commanded Gold looking at his electric pokemon. Pikachu jumped off his shoulder.

The caterpies and weedles turned around and looked at Gold and his two pokemon. Gold couldn't imagine pokemon being this evil, especially bug pokemon.

"Guys, work together as a team!" Gold shouted. "Pikachu, use thundershock. See if you can knock some away."

Pikachu let sparks fly from his cheeks and it managed to hit some of the bug pokemon, but it couldn't range the attack far enough to hit all of them. Some of the bug pokemon were weak enough that they couldn't stand the attack and ran away. But there were still too many to be comfortable.

Then all the sudden a caterpie made a attack towards Pikachu. Gold took a second to think of a plan.

"Uh, Pidgey, use sand-attack, and Pikachu, counterattack with thundershock!"

Pidgey kicked sand at the caterpie which caused it to miss Pikachu. Then Pikachu zapped the bug with a thundershock.

Gold and his pokemon did this over and over again until all the bugs were gone. The kid stood in the back and watched in shock. He walked over to Gold.

woot! im back and since jubilife isn't up yet....iv caught up while i have been gone!
