In University Avenue, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, a scene last night in which Police Officers fired tear gas & beat bystanders, turned into a big riot and left many civilians injured and 5 people arrested.

Even though this occurred around 1:30 am today, (I had friends who where there), the Police Department of Puerto Rico has yet to make a report and comment about such events that took place.

University Avenue, is a common hangout spot in the week and Friday nights for college students who attend the Rio Piedras Campus of the university of Puerto Rico (and other colleges) which is The 2nd top college in Puerto Rico, located in the northeast, where the majority of people live and study. (Mayaguez campus is the 1st, located in the West and is the one I am currently attending).

The fact that acts like this still happen is a serious problem, not just here in Puerto Rico, but in the whole world.

P.S: It's in spanish, but you don't need to understand what few is said, you just need to see.

EDIT: I am sad to say there is more.

The Puerto Rican Government is corrupted, one of the main reasons I moved to America, seriously.
The police doesn't investigate murders,or anything, it makes me both sad, and mad. :( >:|
