It is not an uncommon occurrence for me to catch myself singing in a mumble without me realising it. Sometimes I'll start spontaneously singing out loud when there's nobody else around me, and no thought process will be involved in it. Sometimes I'll be singing softly to myself out in public or at school, and I'll realise what I'm doing upon noticing somebody staring at me with a quizzical gesture (and quickly cease singing). Occasionally, I'll even hum or whistle to myself. I'll just sing out of the blue, without me realising what I'm doing.

During work, I hum tunes from video games haha, mainly Pokemon battle themes, after I finish work I find myself humming the victory theme (defeating a trainer)...

There's nearly always one song or another in my head at any one time. And it's normally completely random as to what it is. For example, yesterday it was hymns that I hadn't heard since I was at school; the day before it was Vampire Weekend. Today... who knows! All that's certain in life is death, taxes and the fact that I'll have some random music stuck in my head! :D

I think a better question is, when hasn't there been a song that's stuck in my head that I'm at least singing in my mind, if not out loud?

It seems to be a constant occurrence for me, and most of said songs are 20-30 years old which means a lot of people have no idea what the heck I'm singing/humming if I'm out in public lol

I am always humming a song in my head and it really keeps me calm tbh. I have finally controlled it to where I don't do it out loud anymore haha, but I used to just start singing out loud and I cant sing worth a crap and everyone would look at me :[

I hum to a random song that pops into my head from time to time. I end up forgetting about it after a few hours or days though.

It happens to me a lot, usually with whatever song I heard last before going to work.

Sometimes I'll hum along to "Were Not Gonna Take It" or "Metal Health" or "Run to the Hills"... after a while I'll start singing the parts I memorized

I just remembered a song that used to be stuck in my head a while back, I mean a couple of years ago... The movie '1408' was on the other day, the part where the radio turns itself on and you hear the song 'We've only just begun' by The Carpenters... ''We've only just beguuuuuuuuuuuuuuun, so many roads to choose!'' *hums* haha, It's stuck in my head again after all this time... It's meant to be a happy song, but hearing it in the movie 1408, it's actually kind of haunting. It's like the hotel room is telling the protagonist that these haunting events are only just beginning...

When it's our vacant period in school and I hear or remember a catchy song, I tend to sing it again and again until I get addicted to another song. I try my best not to sing too loud, but sometimes I just can't help but release my inner Celine Dion.

In my mind, yes. I always do that. Especially when I'm stressed out, because singing to myself helps me relax and think better. I don't sing out loud, though. Not even in front of my closest friends. I'm way too much of a shy person for that. xD"
