Context: Morning before exam. Crush...err, girl comes along, gives boy the notes he asked for. Boy discovers the notes are perfumed, presumably due to her touch.
Haven't written in a while though, don't expect anything.
Crazy winds, bittersweet.
Rushed about, then upon me.
Took me by surprise, I stared, confused.
Some crazy scent, some mad perfume.
Unholy pranks (as if) from you.
Time, for me, just stuck- that's all I knew.
My sight was bleak, as if a trance
Your fragrant notes upon my hands
Soon enough, that scent was all I had.
Feisty taste, it's all so wrong
But stupid me just played along,
The soul desires for naught but fraud and fad.
Hazy thoughts, vision drained,
Frozen with the fragrant strains,
Caught amidst an unforgiving dream.
I want to leave, I want to stay;
The heart torments, the mind betrays-
I loathe myself, give in to carnal screams.
I fought in vain, I took the fall.
I lie in pain, I curse it all.
That scent remained, teasing, joking, bright.
I long for you, I know the cost.
The end ahead will have me lost.
And no, this fragrant world won't bring me light.
Here's another, don't see the point in making another thread. It's awfully short, too.
Context: Same girl, a thousand stolen glances.
A Thousand Stolen Glances
A thousand stolen glances borne of precious hope alone.
Lucid yet elusive and decidedly unknown.
A thousand blinding illusions rebelled against the wall-
Of one voice of reason, and I took the fall.
A thousand whimsy whispers bring a long, daisy dream.
Of impossible endings, behind a mask serene.
The pretense of my virtue retains its deathly quiet
A thousand stolen glances now haunt me through the night.
