  • What is your favorite album of 2009? [Released In 2009]
Mine has to be 21st Century Breakdown by Green Day. Or This Is The One by Utada. I only like a Few Songs off This is the one. and I adore Green Day. But . . .What is the top album of 2009?

Can't say that I have a top favorite release for 2009, at least not yet. There are too many albums I'm liking. :P

Right now, it'd probably be between Porcupine Tree's The Incident and Dream Theater's Black Clouds & Silver Linings.

    The blueprint 3 by Jay-Z
I liked the album overall, although i haven't heard many albums so far so i haven't got a variety of albums to choose from.

I've only bothered getting 3 albums so far this year, I liked all three equally.
'Act II: The Father of Death' by The Protomen.
    'Horehound' by The Dead Weather.
'No Line on the Horizon' by U2.

    Barney.

Only By The Night by Kings of Leon.

Never heard a more perfect album. :) It's just great.

    That's definately up there.

But I have too say that it's between It's Blitz! by Yeah Yeah Yeahs and West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum by Kasabian for me.

    Other Notable Albums of 2009

Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective.
    Red by Datarock.
    The Eternal by Sonic Youth.

    And a few others.

  • I haven't gotten much music this year, but the album that sticks out the most to me is "Act III: Life and Death", by The Dear Hunter. Wonderful addition to the story they've told through their music.

    The Resistance - Muse
    Wild Young Hearts - Noisettes
    Hands - Little Boots

All for different reasons, but love them all anyway.
