whats the limit for pokemon stats

whats the highest level of each stat eg attack,defense, special attack and is there any items to raise them permanantly rather than just in a single match?

You have to look this at an Online data base, like Bulbapedia.

Select the Pokemon and look for its page, there will be the Base Stats chart, there you can check out the min and max value the stats can reach.
