<Thrace> Ok, ready to start?
<Kike-Scott> Yes I'm ready
<Thrace> Great
<Thrace> You've been hacking for a long time but how did you first get interested in it?
<Kike-Scott> That's a quite interesting question, because its the same reason that made me interested in Rom Hacking as why I'm not doing it anymore.
<Kike-Scott> I was looking around Spanish websites, Studio Pokémon for instance. Then I went to the forums, there I saw people that could change Roms to make what they want.
<Kike-Scott> I thought that Pokémon needed a few things
<Kike-Scott> Then I decided to try by myself.
<Kike-Scott> And not I'm not doing it anymore because I think that Pokémon need A LOT if things to be great again.
<Kike-Scott> That's pretty much the history.
<Thrace> Interesting
<Thrace> So how long have you been hacking for then?
<Kike-Scott> I was afraid you'll ask that, haha!
<Kike-Scott> I can't really remember, but I guess it's something like four years.
<Kike-Scott> Maybe five, I don't really remember.
<Thrace> Thats an impressive length of time
<Thrace> And you've only hacked Pokemon games that whole time?
<Kike-Scott> I've downloaded some Shining Force and Phoenix Wright editors to do funny things, but nothing serious.
<Kike-Scott> Just Pokémon were my serious projects.
<Thrace> I see
<Thrace> I remember you took a long break from hacking a couple of years back and you came back sometime last year, was there a specific reason for your return?
<Kike-Scott> I just have got some inspiration from other hacks and Pokémon movies/games, that's the only reason. Now I don't have any inspiration, that's why I'm not hacking.
<Kike-Scott> Oh, also the Advance Map update helped. I left Crystal Shards because my rom got corrupted, then I came back when Advance Map was fixed.
<Kike-Scott> It was a serious corruption really, not those miscolored tiles that newbies call "corruption" hahaha!
<Thrace> I see, well the quality of tools has indeed improved at least since I joined
<Thrace> what, if any, major changes have you noticed in your time in the ROM Hacking community?
<Kike-Scott> Oh, let me see... There are SO MANY! Hahaha!
<Kike-Scott> First of all, lack of GOOD hacks, there are just three or four hacks that are really impressive.
<Kike-Scott> Second, a n00b rush. Lots and lots of n00bs with no intentions of learn and constant asking for help.
<Kike-Scott> And last, slow evolution of hacking. The DS games were out for two years and no major tools were realesed, like Map Editors or Script Editors.
<Kike-Scott> I think that the Hacking Community is kinda decadent...
<Kike-Scott> Of course, that's just my opinion.
<Thrace> Do you see yourself ever coming back to the ROM Hacking scene to finish your hacks?
<Kike-Scott> It's possible, just depends on the evolution of the community. If new discoveries were made and tools programmed. I want bigger things for Pokémon!
<Kike-Scott> Also I'd like to once do my own Pokémon game in a totally different perspective. I have great ideas that can't be held just by Rom Hacks.
<Kike-Scott> I aim for bigger things you know! After all, dreams are still free! Hahaha!
<Kike-Scott> But I'm kind of sad to left the well formed fan base of my hacks, that's the bad part...
<Kike-Scott> I feel like I'm disapointing them...
<Kike-Scott> Well, there are other things to do, so I just have to keep going, maybe someday the can be fans of something bigger! Hahaha!
<Thrace> Its almost time to wrap things up now
<Thrace> Is there a hack you'd like to recommend?
<Kike-Scott> Yes, there are a few ones.
<Kike-Scott> Fist of all, I like classic style, so I'll recommend these:
<Kike-Scott> Pokémon rijonAdventures, Pokémon Genesis, and one of my inspirations, Pokémon Shiny Gold.
<Thrace> Any advice you'd like to give to other members at PC?
<Kike-Scott> Just to keep doing what they like, and never forget their dreams.
<Kike-Scott> It sounds a bit funny! Hahaha!
<Thrace> Alright, thanks for the interview Kike-Scott
<Kike-Scott> Thank you for choosing me! Haha
