  • I am new to rain teams, and am not sure if this is a good one(got it off smogon):

    Politoed (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Drizzle
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Scald
    - Toxic
    - Encore
    - Protect

    He's here for obvious reasons

    Dragonite (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Multiscale
    EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 Spd
    Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
    - Hurricane
    - Aqua Tail
    - ExtremeSpeed
    - Roost

Good special attacker, and as hurricane always hits in rain, helps alot

    Tornadus (M) @ Life Orb
    Trait: Prankster
    EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
    - Hurricane
    - Hammer Arm
    - Rain Dance
    - Taunt

not sure about this dude, seemed like a good idea when i put him in there, but it didnt work out well

    Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Iron Barbs
    EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Spikes
    - Leech Seed
    - Gyro Ball
    - Protect

    very helpful in most situations

    Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Water Absorb
    EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Scald
    - Will-O-Wisp
    - Recover
    - Taunt

spinblocker, and is good from what ive seen

    Toxicroak (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Dry Skin
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Nasty Plot
    - Vacuum Wave
    - Dark Pulse
    - Sludge Wave

not sure if this dude was a good idea

im looking for a way to make this team balanced and effective in terms of offense. any help is appreciated!

  • For Dragonite, it's better with a Quiet nature, so that Rash doesn't take away from its good Special bulk (true, the lowered Speed hurts, but ExtremeSpeed and Multiscale can help make up for it).

I think Rotom-W should replace Tornadus, because of its powerful Hydro Pumps in the rain; it's also a good revenge killer with a Choice item:
    -Thunder/Volt Switch
    -Hydro Pump
    -Hidden Power (Ice)
    -Trick
    Nature: Timid
    EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Specs/Choice Scarf

    Perriechu

i make this look easy tik-tik boom like gasoline-y

  • This team has quite the weakness to Electric Pokemon. Jolteon could probably hurt this team quite a bit. CM & SD Virizion hurt this team a lot. Politoed and Jellicent lose to Giga Drain & Leaf Blade after set-up. Tornadus and Dragonite lose to Stone Edge/Hp Ice after set-up, too. And Ferrothorn loses to CC/Focus Blast. Your only real defense against it is Toxicroak, which won't last long IMO if it's set-up enough. I think you should keep Tornadus as at the moment, it's the only Pokemon you have that outspeed's Virizion and could possibly OHKO it with LO boosted Hurricane. I'll add more later~
