Platinum re-do update

I decided I'll only go with Yanmega, Scizor, and Heracross, so I just solo'd with Kricketune until I got my first Pokemon(Heracross).

I've beaten Crasher Wake, I've been playing since this morning, and I'm still playing, so I'll probably be done later.

Bug Monotype on Fire Red

Yep, took a while to get to Fuchsia, but I made it. Tower in Lavender Town was annoying but got through it and received the Poke Flute which let me wake up the Snorlax blocking the path to Fuchsia. Caught a Venonat on the way, to add to the Bug team, making my 4th spot in the roster. Koga was quite easy with the Sleep Powder-Confusion combo on Butterfree, however Muk was incredibly bulky and took like 30 mins to defeat, but did it in the end.

-Got Charmander Modest Nature nicknamed it Haar

-Did the Parsal stuff to get the pokedex

And now for my final update of my entire Grass monotype challenge. After my last update I went and got a few TM's from the other side of Unova (such as Energy Ball, Psychic, and Thunderbolt) to teach to my team members to make them more versatile for the upcoming challenge. Once I got my move sets figured out I spent the majority of the day Audino grinding my entire team to level 77, which in hindsight may have been overkill for the E4, but it did come in handy against the Champion. I then flew to the Elite 4 and saved my game before the final small leg in my challenge. I took on the Elite 4 in the same order as last time: Marshall, Grimsley, Caitlin, then Shauntaul. I barley survived my fight against Marshall, but the battles did become increasingly easier. Once I defeated all of them I went on to take on the Champion, Alder. He was difficult. It took a few tries and some good luck to finally defeat him. Because of all of his Bugs and their effectiveness against me I relied on luck to get through him. I used Ferrothorn and Gyro Ball to get rid of Accelgor, but Volcarona gave me a run for my money. Once I took down Volcarona using a majority of my team, I was able to defeat Druddigon with slightly more ease. Next I easily took out Bouffalant and Vanilluxe with Sawsbuck, who was one of my final team members standing. To defeat Escavalier I had to rely on comstantly reviving Sawsbuck, Ferrothorn, and Leavanny and inflicting damage with Sawsbuck's Jump Kick and Ferrothorn's ability. Escavalier finally fell many revives later from the damage inflicted by Ferrothorn's Iron Barbs. And that was it. This long challenge, which I started in early August, ended. Here is my final team:

For this final leg of the challenge I decided to name Sawsbuck MVP for its versatility. However, Ferrothorn came in a very close second and Whimsicott and Leavanny in a close tie for third. I felt that all of my team performed very well except for Serperior, whose stats don't really match any play style that I like to use.

Water-type Challenge (Johto): Update 1​

Bobby (my rival) was HORRIBLE...until I taught Fury Cutter to Godzilla. Well anyways, Whitney was soloed by Ralph's (HerpDerp from the previous post) and his Dig, which saved him from a couple of Rollout's and a Sky Attack from Clefairy. O_O Morty was a team effort from Floopy and Ralph, poor Floopy got KO'd by Shadow Ball from Gengar. Taught Floopy Shadow Ball just before I saved. I wonder what's in the odd egg...

Up Next:
-Catching a Marill and later a shiny Gyarados as party members.
-Finding a Good Rod to fish for Chinchou with.
-Defeating Chuck, Jasmine, and possibly Pryce

I should be updating the Challengers/Champions list tomorrow, since it's my day off. :P

I finished Platinum, I play a lot more on retail copies for some reason. :P
My movesets have really been working for me, so I didn't change them. I used Scizor through most of the E4 because of his high attack.

I realize that Ice is one of those types that are pretty rare early, but the rule only allows you to hack in one Pokemon in the event that your type can't be found before the third Gym. But hacking 4 is a little excessive, especially since most of those can be caught before the E4. Sneasel is certainly a good choice for your hack, since he can only be found at Mt Silver. But I gotta ask you to stop using 3 of your hacked mons. If you go to Olivine right away you can get a Good Rod and catch a Shellder for your party. The other two you have to wait to catch. Sorry.

Hey no worries man I was already planning on boxing everyone except for Sneasel anyway, once I got to Goldenrod(before I beat Whitney, by the way) I finally clicked in that you can only hack in 1 Pokemon. Sorry about that, it's my first mistake, though I knew I would make one eventually XD

Another update, but this is a big one

After i beated Falkner, i went to the Union Cave with great fear (Fire < Rock/Ground/Water), but i had no problems with that at all.
Also i beated Bugsy with ease and my rival with great difficulty there (damn you Croconaw)

So after giving up on getting a DW Woobat from the grotto and failing to hack one in by pure luck i met a girl on PO who had one she got off the GTS on her Black 1 Which she was nice enough to trade for the DW Mandibuzz i caught (guess i need a new flyslave :/)

So yeah unfortunately Woobat is frail as hell and i have to keep it ALIVE to Raise Friendship for evolution . ugggggh

i also caught a Baltoy
Clay was cake with 2 overleveled pokes Gothita and Duosion and the PWT was easy with Woobat+ Simple + Calm Mind
