A Glass-Walled Menagerie

Oh, hey! I see you've come to check out my little zoo here. This here farm's a 3-year work-in-progress and this is only just some of the stuff that I've managed to collect so far. What? I'm hard of hearing, speak louder please! Oh, you're wondering how I feed all these lads and lasses? Gardens. Lots and lots of gardens. And, gosh darnit if I know how, some of these critters show up with berries in their hands, seemingly out of thin air. Well, if they're happy to contribute to the daily critter needs, I won't deny them!

I've taken several names over the years, and my babies' collars show that information. I gender-bend too. No, that's a secret.

Well, you've heard a brief history. Go and have a look-see. They're all friendly (to me, anyways) so don't hesitate to pet them. Oh, be careful around Betsy over there, she likes to kick.

As a wee lass, I traveled for years around the Kanto region and discovered all the Pokemon that was currently known at the time. Once, in the Safari Zone, I encountered a herd of Tauros. Wanting to catch one, I threw a rock at one of them. That was... a mistake. Ah, I'm feeling nostalgic now. Anyhoo, there was a great many Pokemon I knew I had to have for myself in the future. Alas, I cannot complete the collection, but that's probably a good thing considering this group alone is capable of eating the equivalent what five Snorlax can in a day.

Some years after my tour of Kanto, I decided to head over to Johto for a spin. The long way. On foot. Being as leg-weary as I was, I decided to take a break and search the side of the road for a nice campsite. A little Teddiursa walked nearby me, looking for something. I figured I may as well follow it, sensing that adventure was afoot! (Oh, my feet.) The little bear saw a hole in a tree low to the ground and stuck his arm into it and an angry Weedle popped out soon after. I bolted, of course, but its Beedrill friends decided to chase after me. The river looked calm and slow-moving and the Beedrill were catching up so I dived right into the river. Woke up underneath the Tohjo Falls with my skin intact... and honey on my shirt. Where did that come from?

These young'ins here, some be the descendents of the ones I caught way back. The rest are stragglers who decided to steal food from my farm. Yer mine now!

Good collection you've got there. I'm a-thinkin' of my own gallery, I've got many shinies I've bred...

I noticed some of your Pokemon are Shiny overworld sprites? In generation II? Was that on purpose, or was it a mistake? I've never seen anyone with so many Shinies... Besides people who actually hunt for them.

Galleries are fun to have, once you decide what to do with them. ;)

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Those pokemon are stuff I've bred or RNG'd that are just part of the gen 2 Pokedex. They're not actually from a GSC cart. Or HGSS, for that matter. And no, my shiny collection is actually very small. If you go through some of the bigger trade threads, they have several times more shiny stuff than I do.
