Official Game of the Year cycles usually run up to September/October, so Far Cry 3 was considered in the Golden Joystik Awards this year. I tend to follow that, since the gaming calender runs a bit differently to your typical calender. Besides, it did have a 2013 release all the same, as well as it's DLC coming out this year. I suppose it's one that's up for debate.
