  • OK, from now it officially starts. For those who didn't either complete or do the practice leg, here's your journey from wherever to the starting line:

To get to Checkpoint A, the teams flew in to Terminal 4 of London Heathrow Airport - the worlds biggest airport in terms of international passengers. They greeted each other with a warm gesture then hurried on to Checkpoint B.

To get to Checkpoint B, teams travelled by bus from Terminal 4 to Hatton Cross station of the London Underground. They then took the Picadilly line to Knightsbridge station, where they got off and found themselves in the alleyways of London's (if not the world's) most expensive and posh department store: Harrods.

After hurrying to do some retail therapy, the teams then head of to the flagship landmark of London: Buckingham Palace. The world's largest and oldest working palace, with 450 workers this place is the home to Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom, and is also home to the starting line of The Amazing Race!

Now that everyone should hopefully be at the starting line, we can officially begin.

Now, as a change of strategy: IF YOU WANT TO, YOU CAN SEND YOUR ANSWERS EITHER ONE AT A TIME, OR ALL AT ONCE. And spelling matters as well, just to clarify. If you spell something wrong, I will come down on you so hard you won't even feel it.

The last team to arrive at the pit-stop will be eliminated.
The game ends Sunday Midnight Board Time, or when all the teams arrive at the pit-stop.

    Let us begin!

    Checkpoint A

The first real checkpoint is the most famous landmark in Mr Cat Dog's hometown.* Obviously since most people don't know where he lives, a few more clues are needed. The teams should travel to the city which hosts England's third oldest university, and on either side of the River Wear. The checkpoint itself is one of the finest examples of Norman churches in all of Europe.

To complete the checkpoint, you need to name the city, the county, the landmark, and the year it was built.

    City:
    County:
    Landmark:
    Year:

    Checkpoint B

From a history trip to another shopping experience. This shopping mall has recently extended to become the largest one in Europe. What also makes this mall unique is that it is also home to Europe's largest indoor amusement park. The checkpoint itself is located outside this amusement park.

To complete the checkpoint, you must name the shopping mall, which town it is located near, the year that its refurbishment finished, and the amusement park's name:

    Shopping mall:
    Town:
    Year:
    Amusement Park:

    Checkpoint C - Pit Stop

The final checkpoint (therefore the pit stop) contains a bit of the previous checkpoints: religion and shopping. One of the biggest cities in England, this city is home to St. James' Park and a group of people called the "Geordies". The checkpoint itself is a grand theatrical building where most of this city's high society come to watch plays such as "Les Miserables" and "Chicago".

To complete this checkpoint, and therefore the pit stop, you must name the city's full name, the county it is in, the theatre, and the street it is on.

    City:
    County:
    Theatre:
    Street:

And... that's it. Good luck everyone. And make sure you have the correct answers, as you'll lose time if you keep having to change your answers ;) Have fun!

  • I got a question. What will happen if none of the teams reach the pit stop? Will only the teams that reach the furthest go on to the next round; or will there be an extra Checkpoint if that happens?

    Just curious.

  • If none of the teams reach the checkpoint, I'll denounce you all as idiots.

    Then I have no idea.
