Ive never played this personally yet but i just restarted my ruby so I could
RULES
Pokemon you use must be caught in the surrounding two routes, you are allowed one partner pokemon to keep with you regardless as well
Only pokeballs (simulates how hard it is to befrend a pokemon instead of by force)
NO PC pokemon once your on to the next area release your team (excluding the partner pokemon) and catch new ones (like N does)
NO bitter or friendship lowering items
No trading
