How often do you use death in your fanfics?
Very very often, but morbidity itself is not as serious in my fictions (I suppose) than in most. If a character wants to ascend to a higher plane of existence, I generally decide death is necessary but not regretted. In Aftershock

Spoiler:
we have a lot of mucking about on the subject, with Luphinid himself (who repeatedly gets pulled back from death, actual disintegration of the soul, just before it destroys him), the good professor (who is technically only alive because a freak accident made him nigh immortal, but not--notice--invulnerable to injury or age), the countless subjects of the wrongs Luphinid must have righted over his lifetime (including the 3S1 rattatta and all the people he invited to party in the Riquanne Halls), and Ruki Ferena of course (who hardly dies as much as she is yanked out of this existence). Then the death toll starts to build up steam. XD
