Story Time! - Plot

It's nearly Christmas in the year of 2011, and you know what the means: it's time for the annual Tournament of Snow! What is the Tournament of Snow, you may ask? Well, allow me to enlighten you!

The Tournament of Snow is an annual tournament held in celebration of the winter holidays, and each year it is held in a different region. This year, it is taking place in Unova, more specifically, in Castelia City. Not far off the coast of Castelia City is a small island known as Harmony Isle, and this year that is where the stadium has been built to host the Tournament of Snow! A bridge has even been constructed to allow trainers and civilians to walk from Castelia to Harmony Isle, so there's no reason to worry about getting a boat ride!

Any and all trainers are allowed to partake in the Tournament of Snow, and the winner shall be crowned Holiday Hero, they will be gifted the Ice Crown, and a whole year supply of Casteliacones! Maybe a DD (Delibird Delivery) Delibird will even grace the Holiday Hero with their presence!

However, there are those that will try to get in your way . . . but more on that later! A trainer may use any of their Pokemon, but there is a limit of six to a battle, which you must register before each match. The type of battle and number of Pokemon used may vary between rounds, but a great trainer has no reason to worry! Do you have the spirit required to become Holiday Hero?

Glorious Harmony! - The Setting

The Tournament of Snow is taking place in Castelia City, Unova this year. The city is heavily decorated for the holidays, and snow covers everything. A bridge has been constructed that connects Castelia with the nearby Harmony Isle, which is a small island not too far off of the coast of Castelia. Harmony Isle is a few miles across, and a large stadium has been constructed for the tournament. The stadium is large, white, and has statues of Delibird adn other ice-type Pokemon surrounding it.

Outside the stadium the nature is beautiful - it's like a natural garden, even with the snow. Nearly all of the trees on Harmony Isle are evergreen, and there are plenty of flowers that grow in the winter, such as chinese juniper, hellebore, honeysuckle, iris, and more, so there is no lack of natural beauty! It is rumored that there is a hidden ice cave somewhere inside Harmony Forest, but so far no one has found it. Maybe you can?

Presents for Everyone! - Delibird Delivery

The Delibird Delivery is a group of Delibird that fly around the world, giving presents and spreading Christmas cheer! They are the workers of Santa Claus, and they're always full of joy and ready to help! Remember, they're pascifists, which means that they won't be battling anyone anytime soon.

They typically don't show themselves to people, preferring to do their work anonymously, but sometimes they'll make exceptions. And from what's to come . . . they might not have much choice in the matter.

Bah, Humbug! - Team Humbug

It's Christmas time, and everyone is so full of cheer! Presents are exchanged, sugar plums dance around, kids run around in the snow and build snowmen, make snow angels, or have snowball fights! Everyone is happy, I mean, who couldn't love Christmas?

Apparently Team Humbug has found a way to hate Christmas.

Team Humbug is a group of people that, for whatever reason, just hate Christmas! Yes, I can hear your surprise, and I understand. How could they not love Christmas? Well, that's a mystery, but that's not even the half of it. They hate Christmas so much that they don't want anyone to enjoy it! Their goal is to ruin Christmas and end all Christmas cheer, and what better way to do that than meddle with the annual Tournament of Snow?

Team Humbug is led by a blue-haired man that goes by the name of Jack Frost. Little is known about him, but he apparently holds a grudge against Nick Claus, for whatever reason. Nick Claus probably knows something about him, but if he does, he's not talking.

Well, we can't let Team Humbug ruin Christmas, can we? That's right, we must stop them! Grab your candy cane swords, your gumdrop cannons, all the ornament grenades you can carry, but most importantly, bring your Pokemon! It's time to save Christmas!

By the way, Team Humbug Grunts are known as "The Grinch" and they do have a certain style of dress. They wear white uniforms, which are basically snowsuits, with black markings on them.

• I'll be playing as NPCs to guide you along, but I won't be an actual contestant.
• As this is meant to be a short little Holiday RP, there's no need to be so serious! Have fun with it! Go crazy! This also means that I won't be strict during the SU process, and as many people can join as they wish! SUs shall close a week after the posting of this thread, though.
• Rating is K+! It's a joyful RP, no need for tragedies or violence! All fighting can be done with Pokemon!
• You will not catch any Pokemon during the RP, and all Pokemon shall be around level 40. If you wish, you may have a level 40 version of a Pokemon that doesn't evolve until after level 40.
• When making a tournament battle post, if you can make it a joint post, but it's fine if you can't. Unless you wish to decide who will be the winner on your own, end your post with the Pokemon making their final attacks, and I shall determine the winner.

-Good Traits-

Dan is persistent by nature, he will persist, insist, you name it to the limit until he gets someone to do what he wants. this method usually turns out successful, although not everyone is the same. Dan really doesn't care what others think, he has everything he wants and likes the way he is, he never lets anybody else tell him otherwise. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing, really. Dan has his own unique way of doing things. He has no understanding of the social circle, or what 'social image' is even supposed to mean. Instead, he is himself 24/7, and it has earned him a special kind of respect that others might never get. People like him the way he is automatically, most of the time. He could be considered sort of weird. He pulls funny faces at people who stare at him, he laughs way too much and has a great sense of humor, and he is usually quite eccentric. These are all qualities people like about him though, it gives him the definite sense of familiarity, uniqueness, and above all, humanity. In Dan's opinion, most people aren't really human anymore, they hide themselves behind 'masks' 'bed sheets' and hide what they really are. He encourages those he meets to 'let it out'. Speaking of which, Dan is very optimistic. While not quickly embracing the negative side of things.

-Bad Traits-

Dan tends to complain a lot. Whether it is in public, or just muttering to himself, he complains about the bad things that happen to him. Dan is not one to hold a grudge, but when he gets angry he doesn't let it go all that quickly. Dan has always preferred words over violence, since even if he beats someone up for bullying him, he still doesn't feel like the score is settled. Words are much more efficient, since knowing you've hurt the enemy on the inside all but settles it. At times, Dan can get very, very heartless, thoughtless and emotionless, but this is only when he's seriously pee'd. He also is very quick to judge another person. He is an excellent judge of character, but he can take dislikes and likes to anyone in an instant.

-Likes-

Dan has always wanted to be an artist. But not an artist of landscapes, people, or monuments, an artist of Pokemon. Dan has painted several beautiful paintings of all his Pokemon, and is often paid to make portraits of others' Pokemon. He's made a sort of business out of it, and he someday hopes to be known as a great artist. Dan also enjoys training his Pokemon, and makes it one of his daily exercises. When he goes out jogging, he often stops to fight some wild Pokemon in the tall grass. He fights any trainer he encounters, often without refusal, to get his Pokemon stronger.

-Dislikes-

Dan dislikes those who do not appreciate him for him. He will take an instant dislike to these people, and it shall stay that way no matter what happens. As said before, he is very persistent, so he never changes his mind, and dislikes it when others attempt to make him do so. Dan is a somewhat free spirit, he doesn't like being bossed around continuously, but if it is for a short while he has no comment in the matter.

-Physical Appearance-

Dan Selvix stands at 6 ft '1' cm. While he is not exactly skinny, he is quite slender, not fit for battle, shall we say, although he has muscle in him for activity. He is Caucasian, with not a single trace of any other skin type. Dan has a funny shade of brown hair color, quite similar to chestnut, but with a slight pinch of red somewhere in there. He has bright blue eyes, that seem to glitter when in the sunlight, and dampen when in the moonlight. Dan can run very fast, and throw very hard with his legs and arms, but they remain slender. He is quite the athlete, he keeps himself in good shape and practices gymnastics every Tuesday and Thursdays, which is when he takes breaks from his usual schedule of Pokemon training.

-Clothing-

The first peculiar thing you'll notice about Dan is his peculiar pullover hoodie. It is a shade of dark purple, what looks like a belt on the bottom half is in fact a white pattern similar to teeth, and under it is a line of equal compare. Two similar black lines start from the two ends of the teeth shape and range up, over the shoulders, then down across the back, and end at the ends of the other teeth shape at the back. The hood is purple and round, and the whole thing has a black inside. Two little triangles, the same color as Dan's eyes, stick out of the hood and hold two strings, with black pearls on the end. A larger blue pearl is held by both ends of the hood, Dan considers it his lucky charm.

Dan's trousers have so many pockets that it's impossible to count them all. Along the top half, at least, there are pockets ranging from the back of his legs, to the sides, all the way to the front. The trousers, which have a rough and sturdy feel to them, are plain grey, that includes inside and outsides. The bottom half is plain, and it leads down to his sneakers: which are violet with a line of white coming down from the top to the bottom. They are held by straps.

History:

-Birth & Childhood-

Dan was born in the great big city of Castelia, Unova. The very city the tournament is taking place. As a child, Dan almost immediately became the most popular kid in his school in Grade four. His eccentric and funny ways, and the fact that he was never pressured to be 'cool' or anything, quickly got him to the top ten list of most popular kids. Dan always had a lot of friends, and not too many people were jealous of him, although there were people who did their best to imitate him in a desperate effort to become popular too. So all in all, his life was pretty easy as a child. He had friends, a loving family, popularity. His problems, if any, were mainly miniscule and quickly taken care of.

-Time as a trainer-

Dan, like all others, started his career as a trainer at ten years old. Two of his friends, Ned and Tyson, started simultaneously, so he decided to go in a group with them. As a starter, he picked Oshawott. Dan always stuck out from the group, his unorthodox-yet-effective battling methods proved very useful against gym leader and trainer alike. Tyson went all-out, and Ned was more of a defensive guy, but Dan was such a strange battler, that every single gym leader seemed to have a comment on his strategies. So, this went on for a few years. Dan, Tyson, and Ned traveled Unova, fighting gym leaders and strengthening their Pokemon. Until finally, one day, Dan and Tyson had a big fight, and so he split up from the rest of the group, it was Ned and Dan alone. But that didn't last long, and Ned left Dan too, leaving him to travel on his own.

Of course, Dan never needed the other two to succeed. While they stayed down in the slumps of the Trainer gig, Dan rose to fame. He entered the Pokemon League, and although he lost, he did make it to the Semifinals. He was beaten by a man known as Rick Johnson, who later went on to win the league itself. Dan lost in a one-on-one against the two's last Pokemon. It was a sight to behold, but Johnson said in his interview that Dan was far more of a challenge than the guy in the finals. This made Dan all the more proud, as he set back out into the wild to continue his training.

-The Snow Tournament-

It wasn't long before Christmas arrived. Dan came home to spend it with his family, but he soon found out about the Snow Tournament coming home to Castelia. He wanted to spend Christmas holidays with his family, but the tournament was too much of a great opportunity to let down. He needed to enter it, because if he won it, he would truly be ready for the league. Dan hopes to finish or even win the tournament in time to see his family. He hopes maybe winning it might be their best Christmas present yet.

Personality: Jellicent is a graceful, quiet creature. She prefers the style of fighting that is graceful, and discrete, but still withering the opponent after a time. She likes to be alone, and does not come out of her Pokeball unless she is needed by Dan.

History: Dan obtained Jellicent when it emerged from the water while he was fishing with Tyson. It was fighting over Tyson's bait with an Alomomola. Dan let Tyson keep the Alomomola for dinner, while he captured Jellicent for himself.


Species: Conkeldurr

Gender: Male
Moves: DynamicPunch, Payback, Foresight, Substitute

Personality: Conkeldurr is all-out. It's a very brutal, reckless and basically angry Pokemon. Conkeldurr has a very, very short fuse. Almost anything can make this Pokemon blaze in anger and cause devastation. Conkeldurr has a great pride, and only those such as Dan and Tyson know how to manage this Pokemon. If you even slightly hurt its pride somehow, this Pokemon will rage.
It is, however, very loyal, and will listen to Dan and Tyson's commands at will.

History: Conkeldurr was traded to Dan from Tyson as a Gurdurr, evolving in the trade. Tyson received Dan's Samurott in return. Conkeldurr came to Dan as a muddled up Pokemon, Tyson had only tuaght it crazy all out attacks. Dan corrected this by teaching it moves such as Substitute and Foresight to give it a better strategical use.

Personality: Chandelure is a somewhat mischievous Pokemon. While he has been trained to not lead people to their doom, he still likes to use his old habits and techniques to prank people. He often pretends to be a chandelier, then drops down to frighten people.

History: Dan was lured into a strange mansion with Ned, but Tyson was still sleeping in the Pokemon Center. it was the Litwick mansion. The two friends got trapped in the mansion, and the only way to get out was to stop all the Litwick, and their master, Lampent. When the goal had been achieved, Dan decided to catch the master Lampent and tame it, which he eventually managed to do.

Moves: Protect, Swords Dance, Double Team, X-Scissor, Toxic Spikes, Pursuit

Personality: Scolipede is quite aggressive. While not quite as aggressive as Conkeldurr, Scolipede loves to pick fights. Scolipede can also be somewhat of a bully, picking mostly on weaker targets for fun unless required to do otherwise.

History: Dan found Scolipede as a Venipede wandering around Pinwheel forest, picking fights with other trainers' Pokemon there. Venipede decided to pick a fight with Conkeldurr. Big mistake. When Conkeldurr knocked the living daylights out of the little Venipede, Dan felt sorry for it and caught it. After it was healed up he took it in for training.

Moves: Earthquake, U-Turn, DragonBreath, Taunt, AncientPower

Personality: Archeops has a drifting kind of character. Archeops really doesn't care much about anything that happens other than important things, and just goes along with what Dan says.

History: Archeops was found as a Plume Fossil when Dan decided to join in on a fossil-hunting event taking place in Nacrene City. During the event, Dan happened to encounter a Plume Fossil, so he revived it and out came Archeops, or Archen as it was back then. Dan then took it in for training.

Gender: Female
Moves: SelfDestruct, Ingrain, Power Whip, Substitute, Stealth Rock, Swords Dance

Personality: Ferrothorn is somewhat of a silent guardian. Ferrothorn is loyal, obidient and trustworthy, and does everything Dan ever asks of him. Ferrothorn protects her master to the best of her ability also, and won't let any harm befall him.

History: Dan found Ferrothorn as a young Ferroseed, newly born, being abused by its trainer. Dan challenged the trainer to a battle, winner gets a Pokemon from the loser's team. After Dan won, he chose Ferroseed. Dan took it in for training, and she became so grateful she never let Dan out of her sight.

@SomariFeyWright - Like I said, I'm not going to be strict for the SU process as this is meant to be a fun little event, so you are ACCEPTED. But as a little advice for the future: try to make your SUs as long and detailed as possible~! ;3
EDIT: Oh, right, just to let you know your Pokemon don't have a limit on the number of moves that they can know, as long as they learn those moves before Lv40 and only know 2 or less TM/HM moves and 1 (or none) egg move.

Name: Andrew Thompson
Age: 15
Gender: male

Personality: Andrew is laid back and lazy. He would much rather sit down and play video games than play a sport, but loves exploring. Andrew is likeable and nice, but a bit of a pervert and has a self proclaimed poor sense of humor. Andrew loves just hanging around wherever he is, tending to stay in one city until he gets bored and will never pass up a battle. Strangers think he is shy and quiet, his friends think he's calm and outgoing, his best friends, being his pokemon, know he's a bit crazy. Andrew is slow to anger, but easy to annoy.
Appearance: Andrew is around 6'1" and around 130 lbs. He is very skinny and lanky, with long arms and legs. He doesn't really know how much room he takes up until being told to move. Andrew wears a red shirt with dark blue tribal designs all along it and a thick, light blue hoodie with the superman logo on the front and a pair of faded blue jeans. Andrews' hair is blond with small, naturally occurring dark blond streaks. His eyes are a dark blue with bright green flecks throughout.
History: Andrew was born and raised in Hoenn, beginning his journey there and beating that elite four. He moved on to Johto with only three of his Hoenn pokemon and after beating about four of the gyms, he heard about the Tournament of Snow, went to Unova, taking his three Hoenn pokemon and only two of his Johto pokemon. Andrew is from a middle class family of 7, including the family's Arcanine. Andrew is the oldest of four children, with two younger brothers and one sister. His dad is working on promoting wind power in Hoenn and his mom stays at home.

Personality: Archur is calm and lazy just like Andrew, but is always willing to lend a hand. He is Florence's mate, despite not being able to breed with her.
History: Archur was Andrew's first pokemon and helped him get through the first four Hoenn gyms. Archur was only a Marshtomp when Andrew caught Florence, and didn't think much of the trapinch. She could fight well and was fun to talk to, and she had an attractive personality which made Archur quickly become emotionally attached, but didn't show it until she evolved into Flygon.

Nickname: Florence
Gender: female
Moves: Dragon Breath, sonic boom, Aerial Ace, signal beam, solar beam
Personality: Almost the opposite of Archur and Andrew, Florence is extrwemely energetic. She loves to play and explore and seems to have no limit to her energy.
History: Florence immediately fell in love with Archur. The whole reason she was caught, other than the fact she wanted to be, was that she could really only look at the Marshtomp. Try as she might, Archur would only give her encouraging words and his friendship, but nothing more. She thought that Flygon were pretty pokemon, and knew that once she evolved, that would win Archurs affection. She was right, and when she questioned the swampert why he hadn't cared about her before, he explained that he had, but had hidden it

Species: Metang
Nickname: Romagna (Rome-on-yah)
Gender: Genderless, but refered to as male
Moves: Bullet Punch, Psychic, Flash Cannon, Metal Claw
Personality: Romagna is very quiet and secluded. He is extremely intelligent and often prevents Andrew from doing something stupid. He talks only when needed to and will always do as needed to keep Andrew and the rest of the team safe.
History: Romagna was found hiding in a cave from an angry group of Haryama in Victory Road. Andrew and Archur had helped fend off the offenders and then took the beldum in. Romagna felt it was his duty to help protect Andrew as Andrew had once protected him.

Species: Quilava
Nickname: Rome
Gender: male
Moves: Ember, fire blast, flame wheel, flame charge
Personality: Rome is a very quiet little pokemon, but very exciteable too. Although he doesn't speak much, he loves listening in on conversations and then adding his own input a few times. He is very independent in attitude, often denying assistance, but likes attention. This is mostly because he wants to prove himself to Andrews other pokemon. He is Andrews' first Johto pokemon.
History: Rome was immediately introduced to Andrews Hoenn pokemon upon the fire type joining the team. He aspired to be great like Archur but as smart as Romagna. Despite his desire to show how strong and independent he is, he has a sweet spot for Venice the Zorua and will do anything for her.

Species: Arbok
Nickname: Tuscany
Gender: Male
Moves: Poison fang, acid, acid spray, iron tail
Personality: Tuscany is a very strong pokemon. He is strong when he needs to be but always caring. He likes to think of himself as a bit of a father figure.
History: Tuscany is older than Archur, but weaker since he was an Ekans for most of his life. Tuscany was willing to be captured, and wouldn't fight against Andrew or any of his pokemon.

Species: Zorua
Nickname: Venice
Gender: Female
Moves: Protect, foul play, fury swipes, dark pulse
Personality: Venice is one of those pokemon who loves to have fun. She always has a smile on her face and loves playing games and harmless tricks. Her favorite thing to do is take the appearance of Florence with her illusions and then act like a mirror to her, doing everything she does. She likes playing with Rome and follows him around more than she does Florence. She plans on keeping her cute and not evolving and is younger than Rome by a few months.
History: Venice grew up alone, being abandoned by her parents after she could take care of herself. She was found running from and angry group of excadrill who were tired of her harmless, but relentless pranks. As with Romagna, Andrew and Archur defended her from the drill pokemon. When Rome told her about the tournament, she kept on pulling on Andrews pant leg until he got out a pokeball and caught her. He trained her until she reached a good level and then they went to the tournament. Archur and Florence became her adopted parents, mostly because they realized that she had no one to take care of her most of her life except herself, and they really wanted a child to call their own.

Okay. And I did make sure all the moves were correct with the given requirements, but I'll do everything later since it is very hard to edit from my iPod due to lack of sub-scrolling capabilities.

Also, when you say "around level 40" what is the max and min for level difference from 40? Give or take 5 levels?

Name: Byron MacTavish
Age: 15
Gender: Male

Personality
Byron is considered a lone wolf. He tends to go things alone rather than have people help him. He doesn't talk much which keeps him distanced from everyone else. Be that as it may, he has a very strong bond with all of his Pokemon, especially his Blaziken. He is the kind of person who is hard to get to know and on the surface seems to be a jerk. But once you have gotten to know him, he is quiet kind, fun loving and trustworthy.

Byron does have an issue of never being able to see the bright side of things. Since his parent's death, he sees everything in a world of gray. The only thing that keeps him from plunging into a pit of depression is his Pokemon. Without his Pokemon, he would probably lose his mind.

Another weak point of Byron's is his lack of self-control, anger wise. He losses his temper at some things that aren't even worth it. Things like losing a battle or being told he couldn't do something he knew he could do just fine

Byron's bravery is his most notable of his pros. He would give his life for anyone in need. He lives to protect people. It had been like tat since his parents passing. Seeing people in pain and sadness hurts Byron. He doesn't want to see anyone go through what he went to.

Appearance
Byron is 5'10 and weighs 110Ilbs. He has a very skinny build for someone his height. He has straight hair than goes just past his ears and hangs over his deep blue eyes. He wears a black beanie with a beak that is always off to the right side. He is always seen wearing a black jacket that is only zipped up to the lower chest area with a dark purple shirt underneath. His slim black jeans hang just a little over his solid purple shoes with black laces. He wears a pair of silver dog tags that sport his name on them.

His skin is a normal shade and he has many scars all over his body. Most notable, a large scar across his left eye that is very narrow. Another is a burn on his right wrist.

History
Byron was born in Verdanturf Town, Hoenn. His father, a Pokemon Ranger, and his mother, a former Elite 4 member, had but Byron through vigorous training for him to become the best trainer and fighter. They had him training in the morning before school and then at night after school. It was a process that Byron was not found of, but proved very helpful in the days that followed.

Byron began his journey in Littleroot Town with a Torchic that he received from Professor Birch. Byron and Torchic traveled around, catching Pokemon and defeating gyms. Byron was eventually able to enter the Ever Grand Conference. But just one day before the tournament was to begin, Byron got the news that his parents were killed in a car accident. Byron pulled out of the tournament out of grief and returned to his hometown of Verdanturf.

Byron took a year off from his Pokemon journey. Without his parents, he was totally alone, other than his Pokemon. Byron had no human companions or any remaining family. As Byron realized this, he decided to go back to his journey. He needed something to take his mind off of this tragedy.

Byron got word of the Tournament of Snow in Unova, a region Byron had never herd of. It was just the thing Byron was looking to partake in. So Byron made the trek to Unova with the hope that he could eventually win the tournament in memory for of his parents.

Species: Blaziken
Gender: Male
Moves: All Moves Lv. 40+, Crush Claw, Flamethrower, DynamicPunch
Personality: Blaziken's personality is much like Byron's, brave, strong and easily tempered. Blaziken also has a tendency to be very resistant to things he doesn't want to do. The only person he will do anything for, is Byron.
History: When Byron first found Blaziken, he was a baby Torchic. Byron chose that Torchic as his starter Pokemon. When the two first starter their journey together, they did not get along. Torchic would peck Byron whenever he would do something Torchic didn't like. The two were like this until Byron and Torchic was attacked by a group of Mightyena. Byron defended Torchic to the point were Byron was nearly killed. Torchic, seeing this act of compassion, jumped into the battle and evolved into Combusken. He evolved again when Byron took a year off from his journeys.

Species: Pikachu
Gender: Male
Moves: All Moves Lv. 40+, Volt Tackle, Iron Tail
Personality: Seeing as Pikachu has known Byron since Byron was a baby, he is very protective of him. Pikachu has risked his own safety for Byron on countless occasions and will continue to do so.
History: Pikachu originally belonged to Byron's father. He and Byron had a strong relationship when Byron was growing up. When Byron's father passed, Pikachu was given to Byron in his will.

Species: Zangoose
Gender: Male
Moves: All Moves Lv.40+
Personality: Zangoose is a very agile. His speed is his top quality. Most Pokemon cannot even keep up with him. He is also very fidgety. He doesn't like to stay still, making him a great contender for the tournament.
History: Byron met Zangoose when he was part of a group of Pokemon that stole from humans. They lied, cheated and stole. When the Zangoose and Byron crossed paths, the Zangoose was attempting to steal from him. Byron and Blaziken, who then was a Combusken, fought Zangoose to get their things back. Out of respect, Zangoose joined Byron.

Species: Gallade
Gender: Male
Moves: All Moves Lv.40+
Personality: Gallade is your typical guys guy Pokemon. He doesn't like anything to do with female things. His dislike for dancing is what fuels his battling style. It sounds strange, but it's true.
History: Gallade was the first Pokemon Byron ever caught. Originally a Ralts, he had hung around with his family of dancing Ralts, Kirlia and Gardevoir. He was the only boy of his remaining family. Ralts wanted to battle, not dance. When he crossed paths with Byron, he knew he was the trainer for him. Ralts battle with Byron, but was defeated by his Torchic. Byron captured him and started traveling with him. He evolved into a Kirlia during a gym battle and hated his new appearance. Kirlia wanted to evolve more than anything, but wanted a more male looking look. So Byron asked Professor Birch for some options. He sent him a Dawn Stone that evolved him into a Gallade.

Species: Froslass
Gender: Female

Moves: All Moves Lv.40+
Personality: Froslass is the motherly figure of the group. She is very protective of the ones she loves. She has a very close bond with Byron. She never left his side when he found out about his parents deaths. She is loyal, loving and compassionate to anyone she meets.
History: Froslass and her family rescued Byron. Byron had fallen from a height that hurt him quiet badly. After nursing him back to health, Byron wanted to pay back Froslass. Froslass had a dream to travel the world and so Byron let Froslass join the team.

Species: Kingdra
Gender: Female
Moves: All Moves Lv.40+
Personality: Kingdra is very calm. She prefers to talk things out rather than fight. However, she will fight if she has to. She will only fight under the command of someone se trusts fully.
History: Kingdra was originally captured as a Seadra. She was lost from her family and was trying to get herself back to them. Byron found her washed up on the shore of Slateport City. Byron tried his best to get Seadra back to her family. In the mean time, Seadra traveled with Byron. Seadra never had a strong bond with Byron. She never listened to him and cost him many battles along his journey. Byron eventually discovered that Seadra's family was killed in a typhoon. Seadra was so upset she escaped from Byron. Byron managed to find her and explained to her that he, along with his team, was her new family. Seadra understood and decided to continue to travel with Byron. Byron managed to find Seadra's family heirloom, a Dragon Scale. Byron used it to evolve Seadra into a Kingdra.

Out of Tournament

Species: Torchic
Gender: Male
Personality: Torchic is very close to his father, as well as Byron. He acts like the baby of the group, even though he is, because he loves the attention. Torchic's ultimate dream is to battle alongside his father and then eventually defeat his father in a battle.
History: Torchic is the offspring of Byron's Blaziken and another Pokemon that is unknown. When Byron took his hiatus from his journey, he let his Pokemon lose to roam around the Verdanturf area. His Blaziken met another Pokemon and returned one day with an egg. The egg hatched some time later and revealed a Torchic.
Note: Torchic is always on Byron's shoulder, during battles and while training.

Species: Egg
History: When Byron got to Unova, he met a Pokemon breeder who had been struggling with his business of getting eggs. Byron decided to help him out by promoting his breeding business. Eventually, he got more eggs and need to unload some right away. So, the breeder gave eggs to the nearby Pokemon Center and one, very special one, to Byron. It is very mysterious and Byron wants to know if this egg will be something that will help him in the future.
