I mainly stick with Wallpapers involving with My Little Pony because of me being a Brony, but I also like anything with the Fab Five of Disney (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto) I don't like anything that likes too ugly

I often use the background which has sky and some grass field scenery, or any nice take of well-known cities, because it looks great and stunning.

On my computer, I currently have a wallpaper with a bunch of stars in space, with an eclipse in the middle. I haven't really bothered to look for anything more exciting at the time.

But on my phone I have a shot of some golden beads with red centers that were hanging from the ceiling in a building that I was in when I went to Atlantic City back in September. It looks nice, and I have it since it's not too cheesy or anything and looks cool.

Usually, my wallpapers are strictly limited to outer-space themed pictures (though any stunning scenery can make an exception of that). However, my current wallpaper is actually a map of the Kanto region from the official art of HG/SS.

I generally dislike wallpapers depicting actual people, but that's about it.

It's usually whatever interests me at the moment. Right now, it's been my hero/fangirl crush. I haven't been in the mood to change it because I like him as my wallpaper. XD I don't really have any dislikes for my wallpapers to be honest. I mean, it's usually interest-based. Though, I have been thinking of changing it to something like Sofia or something. Maybe back to Fluttershy or just something I like.

I go for scenery artwork on Zerochan. Still relevant to my interests in a way and subtle enough that it's "not weird enough that my parents think I'm weird" proof.

I used to go on wallbase for wallpapers before the site basically died. Now I either check reddit's /r/wallpapers sub or just use google images to search for wallpapers - I set the advanced search to only pick up 1080p images.

I'm willing to have anything as my wallpaper, so long as it's not pornographic or related to anime (am mostly afraid of being judged by others if I have anything set from these kind of categories, in a way).

Right now, what I have on my laptop is a cat artwork, with dark-purple texturized background. This came pre-downloaded with my Ubuntu installation, and it's simply adorable, at least in my eyes! I've had it for about six to eight months in total now; long time. Thankfully, the wallpaper doesn't seem to grow tiring at all.

Prior to above, I've had something displaying fireworks, with shades of yellow, orange, red, and pink. It was beautiful. As for which website I use to grab wallpaper, most of the time, it's deviantART.

I used to try to go for tasteful, pretty images with not much going on in them. Usually interesting designs or landscapes. You know, something I wouldn't feel judged for if anyone came in and saw my computer background, or if I had my laptop with me in class. And then at some point I just completely stopped caring and now I usually pick something from whatever fandom I'm into. So right now, all my wallpapers are based on the Tales of series.

My desktop doesn't leave my room, obviously, so I can go a little "crazier" with that, and my wallpapers are official artwork of the characters from Tales of Xillia 2 in various amounts of nude in the hot springs (left side is boys, right side is the girls). 8D;; It's been that since someone scanned the images high quality about half a year ago and before that I don't even remember what I used. The wallpaper on my laptop changes more often but right now it's just... I guess a "landscape" picture of scenery from Tales of Zestiria with the logo in front, because I don't know what else to use. I almost never see my desktop on this thing anyway so until yesterday I actually still had a Christmas wallpaper up on it, lol. My phone lockscreen/wallpaper is another Xillia themed one, something I edited from one of my favourite pieces of fanart. I haven't changed that one since I got the phone about 1.5 years ago.

I just use whatever I'm into at the moment and I don't really care how it looks to outsiders. I've seen far more embarrassing wallpapers and lock screens on other peoples' screens before, so whatever. :P

I tend to usually go for Sci-Fi based wallpapers, although I can never really keep the same background for long.

I have got a photo of My husband , my daughter and me at a pub for watching rugby as a desktop .

I like either just blank black desktops or stars similar. Or family pictures ;)

Like: 'Minimalist' backgrounds with flat colours and simple shapes. Dark palette and the main subject being off-centre are preferable; foremostly, these keep desktop icon names readable.
Dislike: Photographs, paintings, really anything with complex colouring. People or characters looking at the viewer. Lewd stuff.

Ah!
Spoiler:

This is one of my favourite PSP backgrounds. Just thought I'd say: LOGH screenshots are really good for big fleet pictures, if military sci-fi happens to be your thing. The background ships are more detailed in a lot of other screenshots, by the way; most of the good quality images I've found are on various articles of Gineipaedia.

I'm assuming we're talking both phones/ipods and laptops so...

Which kind of images do you like as wallpaper?

I like pics of my favorite people/things. I have several fan drawn Pokemon pics I use (Ash/Pikachu, Arcanine), some One Direction ones, and a few with Sakamoto from Nichijou. I put all of these on rotate on my laptop so I can see them all in a 2 day time frame. On my phone I always pick pictures where it looks like I took a picture of that person. So nothing heavily edited. It feels homey that way.

Which kind of images you don't like as wallpaper?
The only things I don't like are of people irl or myself. I always found it weird for some reason. I don't even like having a picture of my cat as my wallpaper. Of course I don't like having naughty pics as my wallpaper either bc someone is bound to see it.

I've been using an Adell (the same guy that I've been using as my Avatar here) wallpaper that I threw together last year sometime. I'm really picky when it comes to wallpapers and whenever I look for wallpapers on the internet, all I find are crappy resized, sometimes cut, terribly compressed jpg images full of artifacts that would techincally look cool, if only those problems didn't reduced the quality of those wallpapers so much.

Instead I tend to look for official Artwork, put that into a new selfmade image, add some filters in order to reduce the visibility of artifacts of those artwork pictures (considering that most of them are still jpg's) and make the artwork fit into the rest of the image.
The good thing about that: I can at least brag about having a unique wallpaper, that nobody else has {XD}

I have A LOT of wallpapers. They're mainly LoL characters, pokemon and digital blasphemy. Can't choose, so make them rotate every minute or so

I always go with Pokémon wallpapers. If I don't, then it's once in a blue moon and typically just a current interest I have, or I thought that a photograph was pretty enough to warrant as my desktop background.

I've gone through different phases: I've done anime, I've done nature pics (mostly birds), dragons, gaming-related things...whatever suits my fancy at the time, really. I'm not too worried about what people think about my desktop images. Right now it's a dragon because that's what I was in the mood for at the time I chose it.

But mostly what I look for is something that catches my eye - whether it's by being colorful, and/or by having a some nice contrast to it. But it can't be too busy though, because for the times I actually do look at my desktop I'd like to be able to find my icons easily.

This also assumes I don't just go with a default wallpaper. Although that applies more to things that aren't my desktop.
