  • I always think "omg this is going to be amazing" when they announce people for hosting gigs, but then I realise that the hosting gig is made by definition for the people to bomb. The networks put so much censorship over what they're allowed to do and pretty much all they're left with is corniness.

I have faith in these ladies, I just hope they're given the creative freedom they deserve! And more screen time than most hosts get!

  • Oh wow. When I saw that headline, my mind immediately jumped to 2008 and the Palin/Clinton SNL show-start skit. I still can't tell the difference between Tina Fey and Sarah Palin when they're dressed the same...

I just hope that Fey and Poehler can pull the SNL sort of shenanigans off again. They have the ability... let them use it.

As long as we can avoid the type of disaster that was Anne Hathaway and James Franco, then they can do whatever they want in my eyes.

Their opening was okay. But that's because it was pre-filmed, and I guess James Franco wasn't stoned then.

BUT, yayayay! It's about time these two hosted an awards show. I'll actually watch the golden globes for once! In my opinion, they should host the Oscar's thought, that's how good they are. ^_^

  • The Golden Globes are... television awards? Didn't we just have something like those? Oh, I'm so confused. Save me, Google!

That's what I was thinking at first too lol, but don't panic/go crazy/eat cookies/do anything drastic! You're thinking of the Emmy's, (those are the awards for tv) while the Golden Globes are for movies (like a mini-Oscar's?)

It's silly how there are the golden globes AND the Oscar's. Also, does anyone know if it's possible to watch the Razzies?

  • Doesn't appear that the Razzies are on TV. There's no results about streaming them, either. Weird, you'd think they'd have started broadcasting them online when Sandra Bullock gave her acceptance speech and admitted that she shouldn't have done said project...

Although I wouldn't have wanted to watch the last one, because it was mostly a celebration of how Adam Sandler has completely lost the edge that got him famous in the first place.

From what I know (at least, what I think I know), they're never broadcasted, but there are camera crews or whatever that take pictures of the ceremony.

I know, I love it's music. ;w; Doesn't quite compare to Guilty Crown for me, though, I didn't even watch that entire series, but I was hooked on it's music.

  • They're not televised because, for the most part, the winners and nominees don't tend to turn up to collect their awards in person. Unless they're Sandra Bullock/Halle Berry:

  • I gotta be honest... I'm guessing those two only won those awards because they showed up and the Razzie crowd wanted to hear a speech. Likely because nobody takes them seriously... well nobody in Hollywood anyway. After all, they only honor the films nobody cares about, but hears about anyway.

Jack and Jill totally deserved all the hate it got... based on the commercials alone.

  • Sandra Bullock is just the best human being I've ever seen in my life. There is no situation through which she cannot laugh!

EWWWWWWWWWWWW. Adam Sandler... I'm just so sick of him! His comedy/the characters he plays are always the same, even in his "prime" on SNL. Occasionally he slips out of the mold and is actually good (like 50 first dates) but overall he's just terrible. Like Jack Black.

  • Adam Sandler was good, a long time ago. He's trying to make a comeback and his movies consistently flop because he's just not funny anymore. He's 90s funny, like Jerry Seinfeld and Kevin James... yet they continue to try and fail miserably.

    I feel embarrassed for them.

I never found Sandler funny. Always found Seinfeld funny and probably always will. XD

(Also, can't wait for Skyfall! Seems a lot more Bondsy than Quantum of Solace did. Also, director was apparently inspired by The Dark Knight. ...Casino Royale + The Dark Knight? Two of my favourite movies had a baby! :D)

  • Adam Sandler was funny at one point - in the 90s - but has hardly ever been the same levels of hilarity of some of his peers. It's not hard to be funnier than a twerp like Sandler. I hope he learns a lesson from the Golden Raspberries he's getting, but he apparently has a new movie out. Not as abysmal as Jack and Jill but... still pretty damn bad. I mean, is Jack and Jill the worst movie of all time? If it isn't, it's pretty damn close. I remember laughing during the commercials - at how BAD it was. :-X

(I can't wait, either - especially after the non-Bond Quantum was so horrific. Skyfall is bound to be returning to Casino Royale form, the way QoS SHOULD have been)
