  • I have a small Question. I am unable to login on Imgur so I decided to join Tinypic I logged in successfuly. But when I try to upload a image on PC. It says We do not support Tinypic please try using Imgur. So why does PC support Imgur only?

It shouldn't be a problem to use imgur without an account actually.

You could, and I think it fits with the purpose of usinging imgur in the first place, which is to not hotlink images but to store them on a dedicated image site, probably use xomf or another dedicated image site to post images. I know some people do use these, and I think the spirit fits with community guidelines. Correct me if I am incorrect.

  • We had problems with tinypic replacing images with inappropriate content in the past. We never really figured out why, but it was getting to the point where we'd randomly have normal images replaced with any content, including pornography. For this reason we have tried to avoid using tinypic-hosted images. Completely bizarre, I know, but it happened nonetheless.

We recommend using imgur, but we will accept images from almost any host that isn't tinypic.

  • You don't need an account on Imgur to upload pictures there. I use a handly little programme that automatically uploads any picture I drag onto it to Imgur and then gives me a link.

  • I +1 xomf or cubeupload. Those sites are best. Or you could do what I do and use your own web server (hardcore, I know, but I have one anyway for my blog)
