  • I'd just like to make a quick shoutout to everyone who lives in japan. We all envy you for getting all the mystery gifts and games and cards and EVERYTHING before the rest of the world (or at least the US)

Haha, true! I can forgive them though, since the franchise is of Japanese origin and they have a right to be proud of it (I hope they are haha).

I wonder if Japanese pokemon fans go on other pokemon forums rather than american ones like ours. I haven't really scouted that stuff out since I can't read thir language.

  • That is something to consider.

But before XY, Japan always got new Pokémon releases before we did, but since the 3DS came we got both Generation VI releases worldwide. So that's made localization and the like less accessible.

  • I also realize that many of my favorite games are from Japan, not just Pokemon. Alas, if only I could learn the language and travel there...

  • It's a Japanese brand. Things that happen.

Anyway, you can still get a Japanese copy of the game and get a Japanese Nintendo 3DS to play them lol!

  • Like the others said, since Pokemon originated in Japan it'd make sense that the Japanese got most things first or in some cases, completely exclusive to themselves such as several event Pokemon and other stuff.
