Selling my childhood Pokemon card collection. What is it worth?

Hello,
I've recently acquired my Pokemon card collection from my parents as my obscenely high rent is due in London and I need the extra cash. I'm sad to see them go for obvious nostalgic reasons even in spite of the fact that the folder has been tucked away in a cupboard for years, but I need help gauging what the value is. The majority of the cards are in great condition as I collected them rather than playing with them. They are also mostly from the first and second generations and as far as I can remember the base, jungle and fossil collections were nearly complete.

From what I've seen, you can generally expect to get 50 cents to a dollar for rares, much less for common and uncommon. Foil and reverse holo rares sometimes go from $1.50 to maybe $3.00.

The fact that you have nearly complete sets will up the overall value for interested collectors. I recommend searching the name and set number (found in the bottom-right corner ) for each rare to see what they sell for individually. Trollandtoad and toywiz are among the fairly reputable sellers.
