Julia - Vendor Area
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julia declined to commemt on Kiba's slip up or the ensuing facepalm that occurred when he realized what he had done. Picking on him was below her, or at least it felt below her. She stared at the hand offered to her for a brief moment before decidedly getting up without taking it. Perhaps if she had not already been sitting up she would have felt more inclined to take the aforementioned hand, but as it stood she wanted to make a point that she was... just a bit more independent than a small child.

"Thanks..."

The 'anyway' was implied. Julia considered the notion of turning all their missions in together... and promptly found she was asking herself why she would particularly want to wait. What was waiting going to get her, robbed? There would be plenty of better times to socialize later. She also acknowledged the concern Kiba had. Why did one use berries at all if they didn't trust them to do the job in a single application like they were supposed to? Maybe Kiba came from some foreign region with some odd foreign culture. She decided, once again, not to comment on Kiba's oddities. Quite frankly, it would've seemed rude to her. It was a day and age where people were very intolerant of perceived intolerance, so the last thing she wanted to do was confront Kiba over superficial or otherwise unimportant things.

"I guess so..! I'd rather go turn in my mission now, if you don't mind."

Julia paused a brief moment.

"I guess I'm not as bad as I look then... I'm fine, really."

She didn't sound too thrilled. Did she really look that bad? She would be on the lookout for judging eyes to punish.

"So what do you say, are you coming?"

☯ Friends

Frowning as his offer was denied, Kiba let his hand fall back to his side. I know I shouldn't expect anyone to accept... He let out a silent sigh to himself. Maybe I was being too forward, it sounds like she doesn't want to be taken care of... He did feel a bit better when she at least thanked him for the offer. So she was going to join them? Kiba felt warm inside; Another new possible friend joined their group. Though, she seemed like she didn't really like him. He decided to try not to be as constantly concerned as always. Ever since Spirit I-- He stopped his thoughts. This was definitely not the time to sulk over painful memories. Julia offered for him to come with her to turn her mission in, so he nodded a silent agreement. "Where exactly can you turn in your quest?"

Flare noticed Kiba following the new girl, shrugging and following after them. Heh... He could sense Kiba's odd behavior. Though Kibasan was not saying anything, Flare simply followed. He was there just in case anything went wrong.

Mello looked to Aviath. I've never had Pokeblocks either, but I have had candy...

Spirit smiled quietly, as whatever burst of energy she had from hatching was gone. My name is Spirit, I used to be a Froslass.

Jack Davis

Jack looked at Charlie and Jev. He ignored Jev's shouts and called out to them. "Guys, it's time we head back. Charlie return." The Kadabra disappeared into his ball and Jack led the way back to the wooden decks that Lily told him about. Motioning for Jev to do the same Jack jumps off, waiting for one of the officers to catch him.

Echo blushed a little bit more as she stared at Spirit. "It's... a pleasure to meet you Spirit. I'm Echo." She did a little courtesy just like Jack had taught her back when he had come home to attend his father's military banquet. "Soooo, you were a Froslass before?"

Echo was so drawn to Spirit that she tuned out Avaith and Mello.

A red Salamence swoops in and catches both Jack and Jev onto its back as it lead the two off to the other side of Gaia's heart. Upon landing, the Salamence bowed its head respectfully before taking flight back out to the flying islands. As Jev made his landing, he took notice to a small floating stone as it was continuously rotating clockwise. He grabbed the stone with thought that he could keep it as the 2 make their way for the Vendors.

Shadoan made his way to the job booth and presented the 3 pokeballs. "Thats it, 3 pokemon, fire, grass, water with a spare unregistered ball." The job agent inspected the pokeballs and smiled slightly. "Alright, give me a moment. Im going to register the balls to the lab and the teleport system will take care of the rest." He placed the capture pokemon onto a small platform connected to his laptop as it sent signals out to the radio tower and back to him. As soon as registration was complete, the pokeballs shined a bright white light and teleported off back to the lab. "The first vendor mentioned there would be 2 people taking that job... Where is your partner?" Shade scratched his head and sighed silently. "He's looking for a water pokemon to finish the job." The man chuckles and laughs loudly until he calms down digging through a tin box. "Its 10,000 per pokemon. Thats 30k for you. Ill have your friends 30k when he returns." Shadoan smiled and let a sigh of relief until he checked his belongings. "What do I do with the spare ball?" The man looks over at him. "Sell it, get it registered under you ID, whatever you want. I just do what the contracts give. Do you want to take another job?" Shadoan nodded as he pointed to the photography job.

The booth owner looked back at Shadoan and at the job with a worried look in his eyes. He turned back around and opened a locked box containing files. He went through the files and pulled one out and handed it to Shadoan. "Information the officers have gathered about him... If you don't have a camera, you can buy a cheap one in the vendors."

Julia - Vendor Area
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julia hesitated for a moment. She really had no specific idea where the infirmary was relative to the rest of the camp. She supposed she would have to go find out now.

"I'll show you."

With that she would lead Kiba outside. Looking around it took her a short bit to gather her bearing and figure out that well... stuff gets moved around in a traveling band of vendors. It didn't take her /too/ long to pick out what looked like an area similarly laid out to the one she'd originally gotten her job from. She supposed this must be it! Approaching the person that looked in charge Julia took one last glance at the tattered red photo album she had retrieved before speaking.

"Um...hello! I'd like to turn in a job as completed for my reward..."

Julia took a brief moment to reach into her purse and pull out the paperwork she had been given at the start of the job, proceeding to hand both that and the photo album to the man, assuming he knew what to do with it.

"And... then I'd like to see what new jobs are being offered--maybe both of us, if you don't mind."

Julia gestured briefly at Kiba. She was eager to try and see what else she could do during her time here. If she wanted to beat everyone else, and make sure her hopes and dreams weren't crushed, she needed to try her hardest! Or at least that's how she saw it. In truth her pokemon were arguably overqualified to start with, and probably only needed further refining and training to be 'ready'. Though Julia was eager, her expression remained calm, perhaps even a bit concerned, though what she was concerned about was anyone's guess. What she didn't of course realize was that she had just inadvertently approached Shadoan without realizing it. She of course didn't know him.

Jack Davis

It was a short walk to the caravan but Jack made it. He had to walk around a bit before he finally found Shadoan. Before he could approach him a girl walked up to him with Kiba and handed Shadoan a album and talked about turning in a job. "Um, Miss, he's doesn't work with the traders. He's a trainer just like you."

He looked at Shadoan, "Hey, just got back and Jev's right here in good physical health. Where's Echo?"

Echo looked up and ran to Jack, embracing him with a hug. Jack chuckled and picked up Echo, "Hey there, had a good time I take it?"

Echo nodded eagerly and proudly showed him the gloves she wore. "Where'd you get these Echo?" He asked. Echo didn't give him an answer but instead wiggled out of his grip and grabbed Jack and pulled him to Spirit. "Spirit, this is Jack. Jack this is Spirit!" She said eagerly.

Jack looked at Spirit, "So what's your name? I take it your a friend of Echo's?"

Kiba followed Julia over to the booth where they were handing out quests, but when he stopped being phased out in thought he realized that Julia was speaking to Shadoan. "Uh, that's Shadoan, not a vendor..." He glanced at her, continuing, "I'm not really accepting any missions, but I'll help you with the ones you take, considering whether you want my help or not..." Honestly, he felt a bit down because of the way she denied his offer, and the fact that she seemed a bit annoyed about it. He presumed it was his own fault, and was now much more cautious about even bringing up the idea of helping her. He didn't want to leave the wrong impression, even though he probably did. He definitely wasn't going to make fun of her for speaking to Shadoan, thinking he was the vendor. He doesn't make fun of people, especially not those he thinks of as friends.

Flare had followed them, and noticed Jack and the others had just come back. Ugh, great, more people to bother me... Please leave me alone, he thought to himself. With that, he padded out of the way of everyone, sitting with his back turned to the others. He reminisced on memories of his parents, but just like always, that only made him remember his pain; his fatal mistake.

Mello stayed by Aviath, somewhat spacing out, because nothing interesting was happening. Aviath wasn't speaking or really doing anything; no one was doing anything right now.

Spirit let her voice echo in Jack's mind. Hello there, human... I go by the name of Spirit. I was once a beautiful Froslass, but that changed in a fatal accident... It's best not to ask about it, honestly.

Shadoan looked behind him as the group had gathered around him. Shadoan looked down at the tattered red album and stood aside. "You give it to him, not me." The job vendor looked over and approached the desk, taking the album and job papers from Julia. Looking over the description in the job, he yells "SULI!" a few moment later, a large dust cloud came out from around the bend to the booth as the brief turbulence blown by, knocking Avaith over Mello and forcing Shadoan to brace himself. The dust settled to reveal a green Jolteon with a red bandanna on its head. The pokemon even had a satchel over its back as it sat down. "What'cha need Jeeves?" it spoke. The vendor presented the red photo album along with the papers. Suli looked over the papers and nodded. "Alright, I'll be back with the reward, I just need to deliver the album to job processing." The job vendor loaded the album into its satchel as the green Jolteon then took off once more into the mountains. Shadoan paused a brief moment and glanced at Jack and Kiba "Who knew Jolteons were fast?...." Shadoan looked over at Jack. "I fished a water pokemon and turned in the 3 I caught, the vendor here will wait for you to turn in your 3 as well... and I gave Echo those gloves, just for sparring mind you, she can keep them." A few moments later, out from around the bend, another dust trail with Suli's return. The same turbulence blew by knock over even jev this time and rolling over Avaith just as he was about to get up and off Mello. Suli sat down with a smile and a nod. "I delivered the album to processing, I have the reward for one pokemon trainer, Julia." The Vendor smiled back as he reached into Suli's bag and pulled out the fully assembled badge. The badge looked like a tribal sun and glistened in the afternoon's light. As he presented the badge to Julia, the group couldn't help but notice that one of the components to the badge was glowing. "Every completed badge will have one piece that glows as such, pointing you to the direction of where the finals take place. Mind you its not in Lethia since the location changes every year, good luck to you if your heading there now, or just stay around and gather more badges for more chances." The vendor explained, dropping the badge into Julia's hands. "Whoa..."

Avaith looked down as the dust settled, he was on top of Mello as his face blushed a deep crimson red. "So-sorry...." When the turbulence hit a second time, Mello was ontop on him. "Well....this is.... cool... Maybe you can get your ride sooner than you asked for." He said jokingly as he looked up at his mate and into her soft amber eyes, giving her a simple kiss on her nose.

Julia - Mountain Vendors
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julia went slightly red in the cheeks when the people around her corrected her assumptions... oops! She just sort of momentarily fumbled with words for a moment before turning to Shadoan and apologizing in a rather quiet manner.

"Sorry..."

It occured to her that Kiba had known the boys name. How did thy know eachother? Was Shadoan one of the other boys in the 'group'? She knew she was the only girl, but she didn't know how many boys they were talking. If it was more than a few things would probably get /awkward/. Kiba expressed a desire to help Julia with no interest in the reward and Julia gave him her attention. The expression on her face was surprise and a hint of curiosity. That was so... selfless! In this case it was probably fairly easy for Kiba to read exactly what was surprising her, considering the timing. Julia started to open her mouth to say something without realizing what she wanted to say and just closed it after a brief moment as a pang of hunger twisted her gut, accompanied by a somewhat audible gurgle she proceeded to pretend she hadn't heard. She had just realized how hungry she was. She had enough snacks in her purse for herself, but they wouldn't last long. Was she expected to provide for the others in some way? She was fairly confident food was available, though off the top of her head she wasn't sure where. The vendor took her stuff and handed her a badge. The look on Julia's face turned into something of a goofy, admittedly slightly greedy grin as she admired her reward. She seemed very proud of herself, but it wasn't over yet. She needed more, everything she could get in the time alloted. The vendor said something about the finale not being on the island and Julia blanked for a moment. She supposed she would need to ride Roy there. Luckily he was ateng enough to carry dozens of students at a time. Turning her attention to the list of jobs she was dissapointed to find that none of their rewards were quite as extravagant as her first, at least in terms of badges. This was despite how horrible her first experience had been. She did however notice two jobs in particular.

"Constructing culture..."

It had a huge money reward. Pokedollars were honestly more like pokepennies (See: pokedollars are Japanese yen.) in terms of their actual value. To put that in perspective, the 100000 pokedollars was actually worth somewhere around $1,200, a huge sum of cash for someone Julia's age. It also implied multiple trainers could take the job. If Kiba wasn't interested in the reward money on account of just wanting to help, peharps she would gain a bonus off his share too! She didn't know what she would buy with all that money, but could it really hurt to have that much value on-hand?

"Hey, Kiba... Is he one of your friends..?"

Julia gestured briefly and lazily in Shadoan's direction.

"Come look at this..."

Julia gestures to the job, which involved protecting construction workers.

"...It's a lot of money for even one day... If we take this job we might not need to raise money for the rest of the tournament..."

Julia seemed somewhat thoughtful. Money interested her less than badges, but the sheer quantity outweighed the quality in this case, or at least that's how she saw it. She had nowhere near that much money on her at the moment.

"Will you, and maybe your friends help me?... I think we all get paid the total reward...but if you don't want it..."

A brief pause. Julia allowed Kiba to come to conclusions on his own.

"Buuut... maybe we should eat up before we leave on another mision..?~"

Julia may have wanted desperately to win the tournament, but her royal stomach shan't be denied... at least not when food was this convenient.

Kiba seemed surprised that Julia was so shocked that he would help with no reward. He simply shrugged at it, and responded, "Well, I know people appreciate help, and I try to make people happy." He listened to her idea of the construction quest, and pondered it for only a few seconds. "Well, sure, I'll accept the quest with you. Though I have never used money, so I suppose you can have it." He glanced at the others, then back to Julia. "I suppose now might be a good time for us all to eat, before we head off anywhere else." He glanced at Shadoan and then at the distant Jack. "The only others in our group is Shadoan, who you saw earlier, and Jack, over there."

Mello blushed slightly and giggled, leaning down toward Aviath and whispering in a rather inappropriately seductive voice, Hey, just don't do anything that might make me lose balance. She giggled still sitting over him.

Flare gave everyone a glance but still stayed isolated.

Shadoan briefly looked over the Creating Culture job and stopped to think to himself for a moment. "100000 a day?.... Where in the world are they planning to set up a settlement out here in the mountains?... I hope its not over by Gaia's Heart....or anywhere else we haven't discovered..." A man was standing behind the group and chuckled. "Oh, no, I wouldn't want to harm any of Lethia's Natural wonders." Shadoan, Kiba, Julia and Jack turn to see a man dressed in a red tuxedo with a large red top hat and a rather polished cane. The only thing that stood out from his outfit were his boots. "I came to Lethia when I was about your age to take part in this tournament, though what really wowed me was all of the pokemon both ascend and non-ascend, the environments, everything! I was really disappointed that such an island was never discovered before, but it really baffled my mind as to why... Though no matter." Shadoan looked a tad discouraged looking at this new recruiter for the job he had posted. "And....you are?" The man paused a moment and chuckled, lowering his hat and giving a simple bow. "I'm sorry, I didn't introduce myself, Chester L. Peace, old champion of a previous E&S tournament." Shadoan's eyes widen a little as his pupils shrank a bit in a little shock. "Wait....if your a previous champ....what did you wish for?" The man looked upon Shadoan with a grin and sighed. "I wished for eternal wealth, a never-ending supply of money, no matter where I am or what currency this crazy world changes too, I would have all I ever needed... It was granted and I have more money than I know what to do with! I even burn it for bonfires on the beaches of Hoen for cookouts! TO THIS DAY, I still have a bank account that has never run dry, even thieves in all forms take what they like, but I still end up with more than what was taken. Though I have perfect financial security, I have been able to reflect on my old life as a trainer and wanted to do something a bit more, so why not assist the old region?" Hearing Julias stomach growl once more, the man chuckles and leads the group out to the vendors. "I'll be willing to buy you lunch, I am aware of the prices of the vendors so I guess money must be very tight between you all...." He takes a seat at a table and shouts to a vendor, "I need anything you serve and large quantities of it!" The vendor gave a short salute as he began to cook, letting his charmeleon keep the grill running. Shadoan couldn't help but back off a little, "I appreciate the gesture, but shouldn't we be buying our own food since this is a survival tournament?" Chester chuckles and waves his hand for them to sit with him. "True, but you need to take what little advantages you are given... Or if you want to spend time collecting badges..." Chester pointed over to another vendor selling badge components for 100,000 a piece. "...They sell the components, they even host daily tournaments, they will require a 1 badge piece per entry and its basically a 3-round trainer battle that will net you 5 components." Shadoan looked back at the vendor and back to Chester as the cook delivered several plates of cooked vegetables, boiled fruits, white rice, fried rice, scrambled eggs among other items. "....Where are you planning to build your.....town out here?" Chester pointed east through a passage. "There is a open meadow of Silver Roots, the natural growing repellent. I plan to build it there and construct a green house focused on nothing but growing Silver Roots. I have hired some herbalist's to pick a few and bring them there as a natural defense, though they will not arrived in Lethia for a few days at most. Its why I need trainers to defend construction until they get here." He begins the chew into the fruits with an eye glancing at Shadoan. "......My last question, don't you need some sort of permit? More over, I have already accepted a job, to what end-" Chester reached into his pocket and pulled out a packet of papers to what looked to be a contract. "All 4 signatures from the elites themselves, As long as I don't upset the natural balance for the pokemon here, I can build whatever I want and if your looking for Mr. Green Daniel you can do that while working for me." Shadoan's eyes really opened up. "Wait....How did.....when......So you know who the green trainer is?" Chester looked up at Shadoan and shook his head. "I just know his name and that he likes to use a mix of dark and grass pokemon, that's it." Shadoan kicked the ground sighing as he walked over to the badge selling booth to sign up for the tournament, offering up his only badge component.

Avaith looked up into her eyes and smiled, though his cheeks were blushing his head caught fire a bit. Cooling off and turning over to lift her onto his back, the love birds trotted behind shadoan. "...Mello, I got a question... If you were a human in this contest and won the wish. What would you wish for?" He looked up into the open sky and took a deep breath of the fresh mountain air.

Julia - Vendor's area
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julia listened to Kiba's response, though it honestly came off as a bit eerie. He had responded to an unsaid thought without explaining himself. It took her a moment or two to realize how he must've known. She guessed her face must've spoken volumes. At this point Julia was used to Kiba doing things that came off as a bit confusing or even unsettling, so she brushed it off in favor of focusing on the task at hand. Perhaps she might ask him about it later... No... what if he was... socially challenged? The idea of accidently offending him, or someone nearby for that matter with assumptions was an excellent motivater for her not to comment. He had offered his entire reward to her though... Julia stared at Kiba a moment, a very faint blush on her cheeks, before abruptly averting her gaze in an attempt to spot this 'Jack' that had been pointed out shortly ago. Her search was interrupted when a man wearing a fancy suit butt his way into the conversation. Looking him over she guessed he was wealthy, but it took her a moment to realize exactly whom he was. This was the man that supplied the job! He explained that he was called Chester and that he was being exceedingly generous, rather than not giving them all the details. So he had wished for infinite wealth huh?... Julia recalled an old movie adage about greed, but the guy didn't seem all that bad... In fact he came across as... perhaps even a bit humble. It was then that the man, catching wind of Julia's stomach embarassing her, offered to buy them all they could eat. Just like that, it was settled. Julia liked this man! Or rather, she was so pleased at the idea of a full tummy that she couldn't be bothered to be skeptical of his motives.

"Um... Thank you, Mister Peace..!"

Julia made a somewhat fatigued attempt at a curtsey. She wasn't sure why a bow hadn't felt approproate at the time. Perhaps she had neen humbled in the presence of so much percieved kindness in a short period of time.

"I...think I've decided that I want this job. Me and my friends."

Despute easily very likely being the least intimidating of the group she might come across as attempting to be 'the leader'. It was a promise she had made to herself. /She/ needed to be strong. /She/ needed to take charge and earn the wish. /She/ needed to feel like she wasn't just piggybacking down Victory Road, so to speak. Julia glanced at Kiba, a light smile gracing her expression. She was clearly pleased.

Jack Davis

Jack listened as the man told his offer. It was intriguing... he had to say. It couldn't be that hard. It was just guarding one little area from wild pokemon, heck they could probably just spray the area with repels in they wanted to and just kick back and relax. Maybe if they did a good job they would have even more stuff thrown into the deal. Jack nodded, "I'm with her on this. I want in on the job." Jack turned to Julia, "My name is Jack, miss. It's a pleasure to mee you. May I ask your name?"

Meanwhile Echo was busy still talking to Spirit, "So, what was your previous life like Spirit?" She asked. She didn't want to seem too nosy but she was so curious. It seemed like Spirit was a sweet girl and she looked so cute... Echo blushed and quickly looked away. She thought about everything and anything else, but her face just grew redder the more she thought about Spirit.

Kiba glanced to Julia. Her cheeks seemed a bit more... Pink... Than normal. Of course, it took no time at all for Kiba to realize that his were no different. He averted his gaze at the same time she had, finding himself staring at the floor now. He had listened to the man and decided it would be rude to not take up his offer. He faced the man, arms straight at his sides, and gave a very formal bow, for about three seconds, before straightening out his back again. He had glanced at Julia again. Although, unknowingly, the 'glance' was actually about for or five seconds, before she had looked back and gave him a nice smile, to which he quickly responded by looking away, feeling his face burning up with embarrassment. He knew very well now what blushing felt like, and somehow he knew that it was better to let no one see. He waited for his face to clear before looking at the others. "I'll accept the job as well," he half-spoke, half-muttered.

Mello smiled, but took serious thought into the question. What would I wish for...? Hm... I guess... I'd wish for everyone to be happy. And I'd wish for everyone to find someone they love. She had found her gaze directed to Echo for a few moments, before refocusing ahead. What about you?

Flare decided, as everyone seemed to be moving toward a different vendor, to follow. Feeling grumpy still, he ignored any possible glaces as he caught back up. He bumped Charlie's shoulder when passing by on accident, but didn't stop to listen for anything. The less he interacted with anyone, the better.

Spirit smiled and replied to Echo, My previous life? It was pretty exciting... We had adventured to many places and seen many things. Though I preferred my body, it's not too bad being a ghost either. She watched Echo, catching her blush. Spirit had felt a faintly amused grin form, and decided to actually call her out on it. So, whatcha thinkin' about?

Avaith looked over at his mate and smiled "I guess I'd wish for-" "AVAITH! COME ON BUDDY! THE TOURNAMENT IS STARTING!" He looked back at his trainer and back to his mate, sighing as he kicked the ground. "I'll be back in a minute, he needs me." Avaith rushes up and sits beside Shadoan as the badge Vendor began to call out over the megaphone. "ALRIGHT! TRAINERS OF ALL AGES AND TYPES! WERE ABOUT TO BEGIN OUR DAILY TOURNAMENT!! FIRST UP IS SHADOAN AND HERALD, ONE POKEMON EACH BOY'S!" Shadoan stepped forth as did the Herald. The boys shook hands and took 30 paces away from each other. "Avaith, move in." Avaith nodded as he jumped into the battlefield. Herald took out a pokeball and tossed it. "GO! ZUBAT!" *KLASH!* The blue bat sprung forth, flapping its wings about as it charged in. "USE LEECH LIFE!" Shadoan anticipated his move. "STOP! DODGE! REVERSE WITH SMOKE SCREEN!" Avaith side stepped out of the Zubats way as it charged into the smoke. Herald ordered it to flap the smoke away, only to reveal Avaith was no longer there, scanning about, Avaith was above, his flames well lit. "FLAMEWHEEL!" Avaith complied and slammed into Zubat, bringing the pokemon to the ground in flames as Avaith jumped off, landing onto the ground and held as it prepared for a counter. The Zubats wings trembled as it attempted to get back up and charged at it. "HURRY! USE WING ATTACK!!!" The Injured pokemon speeds towards Avaith as Shadoan pointed out to the purple bat. "Torch him, flamethrower." Avaith opened his jaw a let loose a red flame, torching the bat as it fell to the ground in pain. "ZUBAT IS UNABLE TO FIGHT! FIRST BATTLE GOES TO SHADOAN TRIBIL!... NEXT UP IS ASHLEY PEACE!"

A well dressed woman, in red wearing a large ruby necklace approached the field in place of Herald. "Go get him girl!" Chester called out as he redirected his attention to the rest of the group. Facing Jack, he smiles widely. "Well, then I guess its all said and done. As soon as your friend finishes, we'll head out for the construction zone to-" Chester was then interrupted by her crying daughter. "I-I-I......LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST!" The grown young woman began to cry onto her father's shoulder and pats her back. "There, There, I thought I told you Oddish wasn't ready to fight fire pokemon, you need to condition him first." Shadoan scratched his head, looking on the ground as did Avaith, the battle was incredibly short lived since all Avaith did was set the Oddish's head of fire, it began running around in circles before it fell over trying to perform leech seed, only to get hit by its own attack. "…If you're working for me, meet my daughter. Ashley, trying to teach her the values of the world..." He gives her a little money from his pocket and he sighs as she scurries off as her sudden crying stops. "And the value of a dollar, I plan to let her enter the tournament on a set allowance..." The announcer comes forth and shouts out the last contestant name. "ALRIGHT! I NEED FOR A JEEVES KILT TO APPROACH THE FIELD!" A man in a black shirt with a red R posted on his shirt approached forth, wearing a pair of orange sun glasses. His hair was Jet Black and spiked as he tossed his pokeball, releasing forth a Croconaw. Shadoan glanced at the announcer with a puzzled face. "Isn't he of Team Rocket?" The announcer shrugs and looks towards Shadoan direction. "E&S accepts trainers of all form, shape, size and affiliation, even organizations. He has as much of right to compete here as you do." Avaith and the Croconaw stare down at one another as Jeeves called for the croc to use Hydro Pump. Avaith dodged left and right to avoid the bursts of water as the field dampens in mud. The water type finally hits a burst of water towards Avaith's body as the fire pokemon is knocked back near the edge of the battle field. "AVAITH! SMOKESCREEN!" Avaith complied and let another ball of black smoke fire from his mouth as it explodes into another fog. "Crok, use ice beam, freeze the battlefield." Croconaw complies as it freezes the ground right underneath Avaiths feet. Unable to cope with the ice, he slips and slides out of his only cover as Jeeves orders an Ice fang. At the moment Croconaw and Avaith were face to face, Avaith placed a paw over its head and redirected its attack to the ground, Jumping over it. Avaith then let out a Howl before coming down onto the defending pokemon with a flamewheel. Croconaw raised an arm to catch the attack, but Avaith continued his attack, turning up the heat and putting on the pressure until Croconaw gives in, taking the hit hard. Avaith jumps off as the Croconaw attempts to crawl out. Avaith was panting, injured and tired as he prepared for his next response until he gave a sigh in relief as Croconaw fell in agony. "CROCONAW IS UNABLE TO FIGHT! SHADOAN AND HIS POKEMON HAVE WON TODAY'S DAILY TOURNAMENT!" The announcer gives Shadoan the 5 badge component award. Jeeves gives a simple bow as he calls back his Croconaw and pulls out a pokenav. "It's me, Jeeves. I've lost my component. The trainers on Lethia are much stronger than originally anticipated, I'm returning to base….."
Avaith was taking deep breaths as he fell on his back in exhaustion. Shadoan picks him up and carrys him over to the table and sits down with his group. He catches on that they others have decided to take on Chester's request. Shadoan sighs, a little disappointed that the others didn't wait for his decision but decides to agree with the others. "I guess Im in too…."

Julia - Mountain Vendors
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Julia turned her head to acknowledge Jack. She was slightly surprised he had approached her, perhaps because Shade had not. Perhaps it also had something to do with how... gentlemanly he came off. She definitely enjoyed that. It told her that if this was any indication of how he normally treated others than she would enjoy his company.

"Hey..! My name's Julia, and it's nice to meet you too~"

Julia's thoughts were torn. Were they eating /at/ the construction site? That wasn't according to plan, but perhaps it didn't matter. Yer attention was then grabbed by a girl, older than her, whom was crying. She wasn't sure what to think. Apparently this was Chester's daughter, Ashley? Julia heard something about an oddish and fire and had to restrain herself from comment. Apparently not everyone came to the tournament as prepared as she had. She just hoped her preparation was enough. One couldn't deny that winning meant a bit much to her, but then again her motives were the main passion driving her. She had to return to her friends a winner... or she might as well not return at all; at least that was the way Julia saw it.

Pleased to hear that there were no issues between the group Julia decided to bring the question that had been on her mind to the light.

"I've never seen Team Rocket in person before..."

Her mother had always warned her against approaching or otherwise drawing the attention of strange people in matching uniforms. Unless they were police, or sports teams or something like that of course. She had not gotten much of a chance to meet Ashley as the girl had departed. Yet, she had acknowledged the other girl silently whilst she was there.

"Are we eating at the construction site?"

Julia had the vague feeling she was going to startle someone with her appetite, given plenty of free food. It made her angst ever so slightly, but in the end she deigned it appropriate not to care and focused on doing that.

Jack Davis
Jack smiled at Juila, "Julia? A lovely name. Again, a pleasure to meet you." The one thing that Jack's father had made sure to stick in his head it was to always treat women with respect. The military life had made sure that Jack knew his manners and he wasn't one to go unintentionally rubbing another's nerves.

The tournament soon began and Jack watched as a young woman walked onto the field. Apparently she was Chester's daughter and as Chester talked to him Jack half listened as he watched the battle. The girl had sent out an oddish, and these trainers were the best of the best, so that mean the oddish had to have a trick-. The battle itself ended by that time and it had taken all of Jack's willpower to stop from bursting out laughing. An oddish hitting itself with its own attack and being knocked out from said attack? He honestly could not make that up!

The next opponent to face Shadoan was from Team Rocket. Aviath actually surprised Jack. He managed to face off against a Croconaw and won. That was pretty rare for a fire type. Still, it was a great match. Jack turned to Julia, "Well, we might. If you're really that hungry we can cook something up."

Echo blushed harder at Spirit's question. "Uh, what am I thinking about? Uh, it's... complicated. It's just that... you..." Echo turned away, "Ithinkyoulookverypretty!" She blurted out as she squeezed her eyes tight. Her face was beet red with embarrassment. What if Spirit didn't fee the same way as her? She just could have embarrassed the both of them just because of her feelings. Why did she even say that!?

"I think we're eating right here, Julia..." Just saying her name sent a small shiver down his spine. It really was a nice name. Kiba silently walked over to the table. There were four spots, two on either side, and Shadoan took one. He sat on the side opposite Shadoan, so now there was one space next to Shadoan and one next to himself. He secretly hoped Julia would sit next to him, but didn't dare say or ask it aloud, simply entwined his own fingers together, leaning on the bent arms, as his hands seemed to cover his mouth in silence. He wondered to himself if anyone had even taken notice to the way he's acting. What's wrong with me, what's wrong with me, what's wrong with me...? He kept this thought circling his mind endlessly. Would he get an answer from it?

Flare looked back and seemed rather relieved that Charlie didn't react. Flare made his way to the table and lie curled at the end of it. Alone time, please... He hadn't even realized it until someone had said something, but supposedly there was a Rocket here. Probably gone, but Flare couldn't help but tense, and flames seemed to burn in his eyes, a deep hatred that could make itself known if another came close.

Mello had taken notice to Aviath's return, climbing the table to be next to him again. It seems he hadn't noticed her, so she used that opportunity to glomp him with a tackling hug. Of course, she overpowered it a bit too much, and the two of them rolled right off of the table.

Spirit grinned, at what took her a minute to decipher; a compliment. She smiled, and clearly Echo was far too shy, closing her eyes tightly shut. Having more fun, Spirit quietly hovered around behind Echo, up to her ear, and whispered, You don't look half-bad yourself girl.

Chester chuckled and laughed as the vendor and his charmeleon came back with a few more plates of food, placing them in front of Julia, Shadoan, Jack, Kiba, and Chester's Daughter. The Charmeleon presented their pokemon to high quality pokemon food and very rare berries. "Were eating first, then were taking our trek towards the property. An army marches on its stomach don't ya know?" Chester laughs at his final remark, slapping Shadoan on his back as he coughed up a little food. Their meals consisted of fried and grilled vegetables and various other meals. Including some form of Silver Root mixed in with some carrots and rice. Shadoan started eating his meal, he really didn't mind what it consisted of. Back home, his family really couldn't afford much of anything so they grew their own food in a small garden they had out-back, and picked nuts along with some berries to stir in with a lot of their food. "Eat what you can, It will be a bit of a hike now going up, but we should be there by sunset after we eat." Shadoan glanced at Chester somewhat curious. "What sort of pokemon did you use to fight the elites?" Chester glanced over with a wide grin. "Fire-types along with some dragons. Although the battle types of trainers in the elites are difficult." Shadoan tilted his head a little more. "Battle-types?" Chester looked at Shadoan as his smile faded. "...You don't know?..." Chester put his fork and knife down, thinking a minute before picking it back up. "Well, being newcomers to the tournament, I suppose you don't. When your fighting out here, you need to take into account your pokemons characteristics and their abilities, depending on how they fight determines the battle type you are. An example, A trainer that teaches their pokemon to skate on ice, its good for evasion and speed while in combat, but in most places it doesn't snow. So they teach their pokemon to freeze the battle field with a fresh sheet of ice to manuver around on, a trainer that focuses on field control to make their battle work in their favor is know as a Tera Battle-type trainer. Of course, there is also trainers who focus on confusing their pokemon with illusions and simple gimmicks, a meta battle-type and one that focuses on strengthening the defense on their pokemons weaknesses, such as conditioning a fire type to stand up to a water type, that would be a Ruin battle-type trainer." He smiles a little for once picking up his fork and knife, returning to his food. "There are several others, but those are the basic 3 trainer types. The Elites know these facts like the back of their hands and have evolved their strategies to work with each sort. Its not much of something to think on, but give it a little thought to what kind of trainer you are."

As Avaith falls over with his mate tackling him to the ground, he chuckles and grins, looking up into her eyes and giving her nose a simple lick. "Sorry I took so long." He tumbles her over until he's over top of her. "Is my mate hungry?" He puts his ear to her belly and turns his focus back up to her head with a smile. "Sounds like she is." As the Charmeleon came by with the food, he gave the love birds a simple bow as he returned to the grill. Avaith looked down at his food and began to hand feed his mate, holding up food for her to eat. It may not look like much, but he pays attention to her when he can. However when it comes time to fight, he fights, even for the sake of defending his mate or the closest thing he has to calling brother or both.

Jack Davis

Jack listened with interest as Chester talked about the different trainer types. It made sense to train your team to have a advantage in some kind of environment or to train them to have resistance against certain types. Still, it seemed like a lot of work, probably years of training to condition a pokemon to be resistant to its natural weaknesses. Jack had already eaten so he just listened to Chester for the time being.

Echo flushed as she heard Spirit's voice right next to her ear. There was no doubt that the Sneasel was embarrassed as her red face was now a deep beet read. She turned to the Misdrevious and smiled nervously, "You think so?" Echo looked her body over. She had never considered herself 'beautiful' none of the other males had bothered to pledge themselves to her when she had been looking among them and only Mara showed any interest in her. She didn't have the greatest physique in the world. She was slightly muscled in her arms and she did have a little belly fat. Did Spirit really mean it?
