  • This is pretty cool. I might switch to emerald for my next hack. :) :)
I hope there's no game breaking bugs in here.

QUESTION: Are you going to add gen vi pokemons when gen vi ds style 64 x 64 is done?

Unfortunately I can't play it because my UPS-Patchers abort the patching, because they mean I have a wrong Emerald ROM. How can I handle it?

Thank you for this. I'm finding Hopeless Trainer Editor to be a better trainer editor than UTE though. Here is the .ini for using HTE to its fullest:

(Just the Emerald part, though, only. Nothing else needs changing.)

Dude! You have forgotten something and technically, a bug report: During the process on expanding the Pokedex for Emerald, the ninth step messes up the load of 0x8 encounter music which I have discovered earlier. It seems that in the first twenty-nine 81 01 00 00-s includes the 0x8 encounter theme. To fix the 0x8 encounter music once again: go to 0xB1C30 then type 81 01 00 00. So that is why my brother who plays the patch tells me that the song doesn't play when encountering swimmers.

I patched the patch onto Emerald, but when I go into Advance Map, I only get the Gen 1-3 pokemons on the wild pokemon list. The only difference is that I have a "??????" under Deoxys, but no new pokemon are there/

  • Awesome! This will come in handy. Is it possible to add more pokemon? Also, when i try to randomize the rom i get this error:

    Spoiler:

I know that it wasn't supposed to support the universal randomizer, but if you know what the problem is and how to fix it that would be great. Either way, good job on the patch!

I'm doing some pokemon editing using this base and G3T and G3HS. I'm seeing some broken evolutions. For example, both G3T and G3HS are saying that zigzagoon evolves into Ampharos, Mudkip into Xatu, etc. Combusken has no evolution. Stuff like that. Is the base messed up? Are my versions of G3T and G3HS messed up? Do I need to change the .ini's around? Is anyone els-e having this problem?

    Thanks.

i'm not sure if you can expand a-trainer, but unamed trainer editor is included and that has expanded pokemon (using the .ini in the op)

What exactly do I have to do?

I got Unnamed Trainer Editor. Put it in a folder, then made a text document named "Unnamed Trainer Editor.ini", transforming it into a ini file, and in that file I put the code from the original post. But nothing. Am I doing it wrong?

EDIT: I put the code from the original post into the original ini file of Unnamed Trainer Sprite, replacing the old one, then saving it, but when I load the ini into the editor, it gives me an error and doesn't work. Help?

  • Can someone help me with this? When i try to open up Turtwigs page on G3HS, i get an error saying "bad LZ77 compressed data at 0x9c2678". Then i get an error saying "Images failed to decompress. Aborting sprite load. The image that was attempted to be loaded had pointer: 78269c08 for front sprite." And then i get an message asking if i should make a recovery .ini.

Anyone else seeing this problem? I hope it's not just me. Maybe the patch is corrupted or something. Could improper .inis cause this?
