I haven't had a DS to play the 4th generation games since my old one fried, but one team I remember being particularly proud about was:

Infernape
Gyarados
Steelix
Gliscor
Weavile
Lucario

In diamond I have the following, trying to get the four weaker ones to higher levels. Lots of kicking the elite fours butts happening.
Articuno- Level 94 (my favourite and oldest, had her migrated from Leaf Green, and she knows sheer cold which makes it even more awesome)
Infernape- Level 92
Luxray- Level 51
Torterra- Level 52
Ninetails- Level 54
Lumineon- level 52

I also had another party that I used way back when I first started leaf green and it consisted of the following.

I'm not very happy with it, but I'm only on the third gym, and I'm holding out for Pokemon that I REALLY like.

The core of my team on HeartGold is:

BRAHMAN the Naive Natu (Reflect, Light Screen, Tailwind, Confuse Ray)
ICEBREAKER the Sassy Kingler (Cut, Rock Smash, Surf, Whirlpool/Strength)

I often bring along my Dragonite, and my Rapidash, and rotate the other two spots frequently.

I'm in the middle of my Gen 4 marathon (thought I'd be done by October 12th, but alas no :) ) . So far, my teams are:

Diamond (game finished, team around level 60 IIRC):

I finally got to Platinum last week. The team is:

• Torterra
• Gallade
• Spiritomb
• Pelliper (sadly relegated to being a full-on HM slave; two of those HMs being Fly and Surf helps in battle a little :) )
• Magnezone
• Magmortar

Most of the time my team in D/P/Pt was:
- Empoleon
- Lucario
- Garchomp
- Luxray/Raichu
- Staraptor
- Rapidash/Flareon/Houndoom

In HG/SS I used this team alot (quite the same teams i used in the old Gold/Silver/Crystal games):

- Typhlosion

Pokemon Diamond: Yanmega, Empoleon, Honchrow, (if that's how you spell it), Garchomp, Blissey and Dusknoir.

Pokemon Platinum: Torterra, Houndoom, Azumarill, Drifblim, Garchomp and Leafeon.

Pokemon Heart Gold: Meganium, Kingdra, Pidgeot, Raichu, Furret and Ledian.
