The Adventure from where we left off
cleared rockets out of Celadon, Geodude evolved to graveler, clefairy learned defense curl but i wanted to keep it to learn Cosmic Power, went back to lavender town with silph scope, trashed rival with 3 overlevelled pokes and a kadabra catching up to them. went on to fuchsia Graveler and Kadabra evolving at level 37 (thank you Universal Randomizer)
VS Koga
Alakazam, Psychic and Psybeam. take a wild guess what happened
went back to saffron, decided not to bother with rockets and instead just went straight for the card key and the top of silph co. trashed rival again and giovanni thanks to blastoise, got masterball, beat the fighting dojo for some exp and got hitmonlee for the box.
VS Sabrina
a little tougher actually, or it wouldve been if Clefable wasnt the ultimate tank. after blastoise struggled to take down mr mime, i sent in Clefable against her kadabra and after a few cosmic power, her pokes werent even denting me. easily smashed through venomoth and alakazam.
went to cinnabar, caught Moe the Grimer and revived Larry the omanyte
One metric crapton of grinding later Omastar get!
One smaller load of grinding, Muk get!
VS Blaine
Omastar swept him pretty much, had blastoise in the back if needed but he wasnt.
went back to viridian city,
VS Giovanni
Golem actually did well taking down Ryhorn and Nidoqueen with some strong magnitudes, alas Dugtrio finished her valliant effort Blastoise cleaned up the rest though.
went onwards, trashed rival. went through victory road with ease, had a quick check up on E4 + champ levels and realised i was way underlevelled (high 40s) grinded to 55 with everyone and taught clefable double edge in place of mega punch
VS Lorelei
didnt really have an effective weapon against ice types, or slowbro. Clefable chipped away with shock wave and got dewgong down then did a clean 2hko on cloyster. after a "Who can crit first" battle with Slowbro clefable won and scored the KO (amnesia VS Cosmic power) then jynx ruined my fun with freakin lovely kiss, and did the same to blastoise despite hitting a strong surf. enter Alakazam who got calm mind, took an ice punch, dodged a lovely kiss and slapped her with psychic. another psychic took lapras to the red while i took an ice beam, both healed, took lapras down a bit with psybeam and took another ice beam then finished with psychic
VS Bruno
Blastoise beat onix and after a few Acid Armor on hitmonchan Muk swept the rest ezpz

dumb dumb me thought he lead with aerodactyl for some reason, nope gyarados son. so clefable swiftly took care of that. THEN aerodactyl comes in does nothing to blastoise with ancientpower and dies to surf, dragonair one hits thunder wave and dies to blizzard, dragonair 2 goes for safeguard and dies to blizzard, dragonite took a blizzard, he healed so i took a chunk off with surf and then finished with another blizzard.

Golem fought hard against fking featherdance and sand attack pidgeot, then he switched for some reason, golem got a nice crit EQ and took down rhydon. some nice freeze hax let Blastoise take down venusaur with some blizzards. gyarados was next and after a tough fight Clefable beat it then came arcanine which got bs burnhax on me with flamethrower then he switched clefable struggled against alakazam and its reflect and eventually died to burn damage, so my alakazam came in and finished the job. blastoise finished Arcanine and the fight was won
Thoughts on challenge: was intresting, made me use pokemon i wouldnt normally use and focus more on defensive typing, a lot of strong offensive types like electric, flying and fighting were outright banned because of none of them learning any defensive moves. so yeah was fun
MVP: Clefable
Jack of all trades master of none? more like jack of all trades and master of all trades too. hit like a truck, had a diverse moveset the whole game and took hits like a tank
LVP: Golem
not a bad pokemon by any means, just overshadowed by how good everything else was, was still nice to have a weapon against the infinite bird keepers kanto seems to have near fuchsia and lavender town.
