  • WIP Notice: This thread is a work in progress currently. The rest of the pokemon will be added shortly (when I get more time, it surprisingly doesn't take that long). This thread is designed to be a resource for people building a UU team. It provides a list of all UU pokemon and their common sets so that one can check to make sure all the pokemon in UU are handled by their team in one form or another. A copy-paste friendly version is available at the end of the thread (I will probably move this to the top or provide a jump-link at least) so that it can be included in UU RMTs to explain what your team is weak to / can handle. Pokemon sprites at the top are jump-links themselves and can be clicked to jump to a specific pokemon and view their sets.

Any criticism is welcome on the design of the thread or help in general would be wonderful. So let me know what you think so far!

  • Why arent you just using Smogon's list. UU isnt any different there.

Max Speed on Aero is unnecessary, creep it to beat Support/Pivot Crobat.

Alakazam has options like Encore, T-Wave and Dazzling Gleam over HP Ice. Psychic should be used over Psyshock then.

Stallbreake Aero is better than all-out Aero. It runs enough speed to beat Modest 115's I think. The set is Roost, Taunt, Stone Edge, Aerial Ace. You can probs fit in rocks there. Hone Claws should have a set too. And SubRoost.

Mega Ampharos needs Volt Switch slashed on the all-out attacker set.

Personally I would appreciate something more general, like this article. Introduce us to the metagame. Give us a taste of what XY UU is like. Maybe provide an example of a typical UU battle replay (throwing off ideas). What are the main threats and potential ways to deal with them, as well as other mechanics to look out for (e.g. Scald spam)? Try to get us interested in the metagame, since a lot of people here play only OU. I think it would be more beneficial for our community since I don't think many of us have tested the waters yet. A full threat list is still useful though, and would do well as an additional section.
