    Silver

    Episode 1
I got a lot covered already. Dunsparce was fairly easy to catch, it took only about five minutes.
    • Chose Totodile as starter.
    • Caught Cedric the Dunsparce in the Dark Cave.
    • The Sprout Tower wasn't too difficult.
    • Defeated Falkner.
    • I thought the Union Cave would be the first really difficult place, but Rage worked surprisingly well and I got through it reasonably fast.
    • Cleared the Slowpoke Well and sent Team Rocket flying off again.
    • Defeated Bugsy and Silver.
    • Got through Ilex Forest.
    • Caught Sparkweed the Sunkern in the National Park.
    • Defeated Whitney and scared Sudowoodo away.
    • Beat Silver at the Burnt Tower.
    • Defeated Morty.
    Spoiler:

    Team:

    Sparkweed the Sunkern (M) @ Lv. 25
    Absorb
    Growth
    Mega Drain
    Sunny Day

    Cedric the Dunsparce (M) @ Lv. 31
    Rage
    Pursuit
    Glare
    Screech

    Totodile
    HM Slave
    Cut
    Surf

    Episode 2
This run is a lot easier than I thought. Sunkern is a pain, but Dunsparce is fairly useful.
    • Traveled to Olivine City and went to the Lighthouse.
    • Surfed my way to Cianwood City (the third most boring part).
    • Defeated Chuck.
    • Got Ampharos' medicine and brought it back to the Lighthouse.
    • Defeated Jasmine.
    • Traveled through Ecruteak and went on to Mahogany Town.
    • Defeated the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage.
    • Met Lance and started the second most boring part: defeating Team Rocket in Mahogany.
    • Team Rocket escaped and I defeated Pryce.
    • Prof. Elm called, went to Goldenrod to do the most boring part: defeating Team Rocket again.
    • Went through the Ice Path after that and arrived in Blackthorn City.
    • I thought Clair would be the most difficult gym leader in this run, but she proved me wrong, she was almost the easiest one.
The only thing left to do is to go to Dragon's Den to get my badge and then it's Victory Road Time!
    Spoiler:

    Team:

    Sparkweed the Sunkern (M) @ Lv. 46
    Sludge Bomb
    Giga Drain
    Mega Drain
    Sunny Day

    Cedric the Dunsparce (M) @ Lv. 49
    Headbutt
    Iron Tail
    Glare
    Rock Smash

    Totodile
    HM Slave
    Surf
    Cut

    Geodude
    HM Slave
    Strength

    Pidgey
    HM Slave
    Fly

  • Update for Ultimate Duo Challenge.

Okay, here we go, time for Johto.

    Update #1 on SoulSilver.

    Name: Jay
    Starter: Cyndaquil
    Rival: Silver

    • After the beginning stuff, I hacked in a Surkit egg, that was shiny, and knew Hydro Pump and Signal Beam as egg moves :).
    • After she hatched I named her Rain.
    • Hydro Pump really helped Rain defeat Falkner despite the type disadvantage.
    • After I reached Union Cave, I realized that Sandshrew is only in HeartGold, so I hacked one in and named him Spike.
    • Made through the cave to Azelea Town and helped Kurt save the Slowpoke.
    • Took on Bugsy and won thanks to Spike's Rock Tomb.
    • Beat Silver and went through Ilex Forest to Goldenrod, where I beat a bunch of trainers.
    • While doing so, Rain and Spike both evolved!
    • Whitney was pretty easy although Spike did faint to Miltank's flinching Stomps.
    • Continued north to Ecruteak City, where I got the Surf and Strength HMs and released the beasts in Burned Tower.
    • Took on the gym. Morty's Gengar was tough, but Rain was able to win mostly with Hydro Pump.
    • Went down to Olivine and scaled the Lighthouse, then Surfed across the sea to Cianwood City.
    • Beat Eusine and Chuck over there, both with relative ease.
    • Flew back to Olivine and healed Amphy, then beat Jasmine easily with Spike's Dig.
    • Right now I am saved in the Goldenrod Game Corner trying to get Coins for Ice Beam.
    Screens:

I've decided to do this challenge on my Black Version, whith two Pokemon I've always been interested in using: Volbeat and Illumise. I can't hack, so I will have to trade over eggs as soon as I can (which is after the first gym).

    Name: deku / deku
    Version: Pokemon Black Version
    Pokemon: Volbeat / Illumise

Right now I'm just rushing through the opening and first badge so I can go ahead and start this challenge!

    Version: Ruby (ROM)
    Pokemon: Pinsir / Heracross

I plan on hacking both Pokémon to my game early on, since I'd rather not have to wait until I reach the Safari Zone to get the second one.
If, however, you'd prefer to have me wait, I'll just hack Heracross Pinsir first.

  • Started new game.

    Spoiler:

Obtained a Mudkip, named him SURF SLAVE

Hacked wild Pinsir and a Master Ball; named him KIMURA

    Spoiler:

    Party:
    Spoiler:

    "
The morning sun was bright and vivid. However, I had no idea of it, since my mom somehow convinced me to travel all the way to Littleroot Town in the back of our moving truck…
bad idea. By the time we reached our new home, my back and my ass were killing. Thankfully though, the torture was over.

Never did I expect my life in Hoenn to be turned upside down so quickly, however.

Our home was almost completely furnished when we got home, but the mover Machoke were still (obviously) working on getting our stuff in the house, and my mom knew that she'd have to spend the whole day making sure everything was perfect. Therefore, she decided to send me to our neighbor's house, to offer them some of my mom's home-baked goodies.

I always considered my mom a generous person, but when I walked in our neighbors' house, and the lady asked me to introduce myself to her daughter… in her room! I realized she might be in for some tough competition. Sure enough, her father ended up being Professor Birch, and after I saved him from a rather, embarrassing situation he asked me not to speak of to anyone… EVER!

    Well, I guess I became a trainer…

Thus I decided to go and visit my father, accompanied my new Pokémon: Surf Slave. Little did I know that something, somewhere, was directly beginning to influence my path. For when I went back home for a Potion I knew I'd left in my PC, I found something else… something that shouldn't have been there…

Not thinking twice about it, I just grabbed the Master Ball, assuming that my luck must have reversed since I came to Hoenn… and sure enough, as soon as I stepped out of my little town, I stumbled upon something ridiculously out of place for Hoenn: a Pinsir swarm!

  • Went through Rustboro Forest without any problems…

Surf Slave gained two levels in the double battle at the bridge… >_>

Went straight to Route 116 to save Peecko and gain much-needed levels for Kimura; then realized I need the badge first to do that… /facepalm'd.

Beat Roxanne on my first run
→ I'm actually pretty surprised Pinsir didn't get OHKOd by Rock Tomb
    Shino vs Roxanne
    Spoiler:
Caught a female Nincada, named her CUT SLAVE
    → so eloquent…

Saved Peeko and obtained Devon Goods, PokéNav and HM01

    Gave Steven his stuff

Went to Slateport caught Heracross, named TAKAMURA

Passed the Trick Room, obtained Rare Candy

    Challenged and beat Brawly (:
    Spoiler:
(I will change my emulator's size so the pictures aren't so big from now on)

Alright, I beat the first gym!
I have to say though, Roark was tough. His entire team was able to one-shot Ralts pretty easily, and Absol was of no use with only normal-type moves. Luckily I was able to level up Ralts to about 19, where she could easily one-shot all of his pokes before they could kill her. XD

    Absol Level 18 @ Nothing
    -Quick Attack
    -Feint
    -Leer
    -Razor Wind

    Kirlia Level 20 @ Nothing
    -Confusion
    -Lucky Chant
    -Double Team
    -Teleport (lol)

Okay, since my sign up I have made it to Castelia City. I rushed through the first gym so I could trade over eggs of Volbeat and Illumise. Once the eggs hatched I named Volbeat Phil and Illumise Claire. After that I Audino trained both of them to level 21(so Phil could learn Tail Glow). Then I moved on with the game and the story and defeated Lenora, earning my second Gym Badge. I went ahead and made my way through Pinwheel Forest so that I could travel across Skyarrow Bridge to reach Castelia City. Here is my team at this point:

    313.gif

    Phil the Volbeat
    Male | Bold | Swarm | Lv. 24
    - Tail Glow
    - Baton Pass
    - Brick Break
    - Hidden Power (Flying)

    314.gif

    Claire the Illumise
    Female | Modest | Tinted Lens | Lv. 24
    - Bug Buzz
    - Hidden Power (Ground)
    - Shadow Ball
    - Thunderbolt

Also, I figured that everyone here should know that I RNG bred these two on my White version for the HP types, natures, and ability. I also bred some egg moves on these two, such as the TM moves and Baton Pass.

  • Headed back to Slateport City before making my way to Muville City

Faced and beat May on the way there; received the ITEMFINDER
    Spoiler:
Reached Mauville City, received HM06 and ACRO BIKE

OHKO'd Wally's Ralts, then beat everyone else in a two mile radius before challenging Watson's Gym
    Spoiler:
Taught Surf Slave how to Rock Smash and went back to Verdanturf Town to help Wally's cousin's boyfriend across the Verdanturf Tunnel; received HM04 for my efforts.

Taught STRENGTH to both KIMURA and TAKAMURA… I still haven't figured out why :(

Headed up to the ash place and got a Blue Flute; beat trainers, you know how it goes

Still on my way for the METEORITE

Completely gave up on trying to write cool stuff about this… I'm not going to update that often anyways… /shrugs

    Trainer Name: Takuya
    Starter Pokemon: Totodile (Slave)
    Rival: Duskmon
NB: One last thing before I start, most of the nicknames I give my Pokemon will be related to other anime. That is my choice, not yours so you can't stop me.

-Got Running Shoes, Bicycle and GB Sounds from Mom
    -Received starter from Prof. Elm
NB: I had to reset Arceus-knows how many times for Totodile to be female.
-After getting 5 Potions and the PokeGear (abbreviated to PG), headed for Mr. Pokemon's house, but stopped to register Prof. Elm in the PG
-Mild annoyance because of the Guide Gent and his "tour"
-Got Old Rod from Guide Gent
NB: That's got to be some kind of innuendo there
-Got Map Card from Guide Gent
    -Obtained Apricorn Box
-Spotted a mysterious Trainer from Sinnoh in front of Mr. Pokemon's House
-Had no choice but to talk to Mystery Trainer but received Shirayuki the Eevee (F, Lv.5) for my trouble
NB: More annoying resetting for Shirayuki to be female. Also, Shirayuki is a reference to Sode no Shirayuki, an Ice-Type zanpaku-to from Bleach.
-Received Mystery Egg and Pokedex (both Johto and National Dex)
-Registered Prof. Oak in the PG
-"Urgent" phone call from Prof. Elm
-Battled against Passerby Boy with Totodile destroying Chikorita
-Gave Mystery Egg to Prof. Elm
    -Got 15 Pokeballs from Lyra
    -Caught Starly (F, Lv.3)
NB: Starly and Totodile are both HM Slaves.
    -Boxed Starly and Totodile
-Defeated all Trainers on Route 30
NB: Randomly on Route 30, there is a Trainer named Idol Carly that says before you battle her "Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy! But let's have a battle. I'll win, maybe!". I was like WTF!
    -Shirayuki learned Bite (Leveling up)
-Random call from the Bike Shop saying to keep the Bike (don't know how I got that call when I got the Bike from Mom)
-Gave up on looking for the roughly 2% of all Pokemon on Route 30 that would be a female Ralts and decided to wait until I got to Goldenrod City
    -Received VS. Recorder from Lyra
-Arrived in Violet City and obtained the EXP. Share from a wierdo in the Pokemon Center
-Quickly worked through Sprout Tower, crushing all who dared cross my path
-Defeated the Elder and received a Chilled Ore and TM70 Flash
NB: Rival Duskmon only got an evolution stone but I got an evolution stone AND a TM. Sucks to be him then.
-Shirayuki learned Quick Attack (Leveling up)
    -Shirayuki evolved into Glaceon
-Had some trouble with Falkner but eventually managed to win
-Received the Zephyrbadge and TM51 Roost
-Received Pokemon Egg from Prof. Elm's Aide
    -Registered Falkner in the PG
    -Breezed through Route 32
-Shirayuki learned Aurora Beam (Leveling up)
    -Made it through Union Cave
    -Shirayuki learned Water Pulse (TM)
    -Arrived in Azalea Town
-Wiped out Team Rocket in Slowpoke Well
    -Registered Kurt in the PG
-Shirayuki learned Ice Shard (Leveling up)
    -Destroyed Bugsy's bugs
NB: I actually always thought Bugsy was a girl. I feel tainted now.
-Received the Hive Badge and TM89 U-turn
    -Registered Bugsy in the PG
    -Flattened Duskmon's weaklings
    -Obtained HM01 Cut
    -Withdrew Totodile and Starly
    -Totodile learned Cut
    -Gave EXP. Share to Starly
-Found another Trainer from Sinnoh doing apparently doing something unmentionable with an Ivysaur and was bribed with TM86 Grass Knot to keep quiet about the incident
NB: Anyone figured out who the Trainer that gave me Eevee was? What about this new Trainer?
-The original Mystery Trainer blocked my path again and gave me an Odd Keystone
-Registered Lyra and the Day-Care Man+Day-Care Lady in the PG
    -Arrived in Goldenrod City
    -Obtained Radio Card
-Changed date on laptop to Thursday so Ralts/Kirlia would appear on Route 34
-Caught Angewomon the Kirlia (F, Lv.15)
    -Angewomon learned Shock Wave (TM)
    -Angewomon learned Thief (TM)
    -Angewomon learned Grass Knot (TM)

-Togepi hatched from the Egg (M, Lv.1)
    -Togepi learned Flash (TM)
-Starly evolved into Staravia (EXP. Share)
-Took EXP. Share from Staravia and gave it to Angewomon
-Destroyed all Gym Trainers in the Goldenrod Gym
-After a few attempts, I defeated Whitney
NB:Even with Shirayuki being really powerful, I still had a tough time with Whitney, mainly because of one Pokemon: Wigglytuff. That darn thing annihilated my entire team without any trouble!
    -Angewomon learned Extrasensory (Leveling up)
-Shirayuki learned Ice Fang (Leveling up)
-Received the Plain Badge and TM45 Attract (after Whitney stopped crying)
    -Registered Whitney in the PG
-Angewomon learned Magical Leaf (Leveling up)
    -Shirayuki learned Dig (TM)
    -Obtained the Squirtbottle

Okay, since my last update I've made it through the fifth gym badge. I did all of the events in Castelia City, battled Burgh, then moved on to Route 4 and the Desert Resort. After completing those routes, I went to Nimbasa City and did everything I needed to do there before the Gym. Before taking on Elesa I went ahead and ground my team up to Lv 35 so I would struggle top much with her two flying type Emolga. After I beat her, I went on to Driftveil, defeated Team Plasma, and defeated Clay to earn my fifth gym badge. I went ahead and made my way through the end of Route 6 and saved at the entrance to Chargestone Cave. My team right now:

Claire / Lv39 / Bug Buzz, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Hidden Power (Ground)
